Who else has 20 bottles of half-used condiments in their fridge? Instead of buy… Who else has 20 bottles of half-used condiments of their fridge? 😬 As an alternative of shopping for ANOTHER bottle of sauce, I attempt to make my very own out of stuff I've readily available when attainable.

anyone else have like a pile of half used notebooks you don’t use anymore but then you have that temptation to buy a new notebook because “you’re totally going to use this one up”

Thomas first valentine's day and he wants this one to be special for his special lady :) (they were friends before but they weren't in a relationship so this time it is offical)

oh he’s nervous as HELL but he made big plans and literally everyone is in on it, it’s the softest thing ever and everyone is just lowkey cooing over how much effort Thomas has put into this. he has newt growing a little patch of daffodils and colourful flowers for him from the second the ground was soft enough to dig in. literally Thomas checked the ground everyday. he was worried that they wouldn’t grow in time, but newt worked wonders and they look beautiful. he sneaks out of bed early that morning to cut and trim them and he ties them into a nice bouquet with some string. He’s been working extra hard lately to earn some extra rations so the two of you can have an extra special breakfast in bed, and frypan really delivers like he’s not sure quite how his friend managed all this but it’s amazing.

so you’re still asleep when he gets back and he places the flowers and food down by the bed and takes his shoes off and wakes you up. he just leaves little kisses all over your face until you eventually stir and he’s just looking down at you with the happiest expression you have ever seen.

your heart bursts when he kisses you gently after giving you the flowers and telling you how much he loves you. then the two of you sit together and eat breakfast and just chat in bed because he earned you both a day off, and he has plans for it, too.

to start the day out, he had planned for you both to just lay in bed and hangout, and that’s when you gave him your gift. he was surprised you even remembered, and the boy teared up when you presented him with a stack of halfused and worn notebooks you had recovered from many journeys back to the mainland for supplies, and a box of chalks to draw with. it must’ve taken you months to gather all this, and he loves it. he’d been saying lately just how much he wished he had another hobby, and now he has one.

he gives you a little necklace he made himself. it’s a glittery piece of white rock that he had carved into a love heart with his own hands after he saw the sparkly pebble was up on the beach one day. you did cry, and he kissed away your tears as he put it on for you. and then you showed him what it looked like when it was the only thing you had on, and he loved that even more. those activities filled your day until mid afternoon and the temperature had picked up a little.

the two of you end up going for a little walk along the beach, and you look in rockpools and gather a small heap of nice shells that you think would look awesome in your joint collection, before just holding each other and looking out at the sea, nothing for miles and mumbling about how happy you are together.

he hands you the shells and tells you he has one more surprise for you, but that you need to take the shells home, and meet him with a blanket up in your favourite cliff top, the one where you guys had your first kiss.

when you get there, you have no idea how he did it but you’re sure it had something to do with the fact that you saw Newt, Minho and Brenda scampering away rapidly from this vague direction, all greeting you happily as they had passed you by. sitting out on the flat rock that the two of you normally sat on, Thomas has covered it with a light rag that was blowing in the very full sea breeze. he had placed a candle in the middle and lit it, your two evening meals sitting on either side as he grinned at you with a lopsided little smile all bashful like, and you cried again. you couldn’t help it, he had gone to so much effort and it was just so sweet. sitting on the ground, you ate your food happily with him and chatted, telling him how much today meant to you and how much you loved it and his eyes lit up brighter than the moon itself.

after you finish, he tidied the stuff away and the two of you snuggle under the blanket he had you bring as you stargaze until it gets waaaay too cold t stay out any longer. when you get back the the hut you share, the two of you find the best way to warm each other up, before cuffing up happily and sleeping away the amazing day you’d had.

Having lots of halfused candles lying around from the chagim is really helpful when your power goes out. I would not have had them otherwise
