Really annoyed with theater kids take on Jonah's version of Wild Uncharted Waters

***** I prefer Jonah's version because it conveys the yearning and the vulnerability. He performed the song honestly and with rawness and vulnerability - like someone who is facing really high stakes. He feels he will go insane if he doesn't find her. That's the state of mind that was required to interpret this song.

The mystery girl saved his life and awakened something in him. He is desperate and restless. Running up and down the shoreline with, wild, violent waves crashing against the rocks and all around him. Prince Eric will not stop until he finds her. He is defying his mother's wishes and is focused on his mission to find this girl to whom he owes his life - regardless of the danger he will face.

These snobbish theater kids want a smooth operatic piece with perfect notes and pleasant vocals - without the pain, the high stakes, and utter unhinged despair. ******BORING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halle and Jonah as Mary Penelope and Jake Windsnap 🧜🏻‍♂️🏃🏿‍♀️! Based on my older post about some future roles they could play. And I know this is very different from how I drew the characters earlier. Honestly I’ll draw these characters in as many different ways as I want. I just loved Halle and Jonah in The Little Mermaid and really want to see their careers grow! What better possible vehicle for them than a similar upcoming movie 😉 Check out my original designs for Jake and Mary P. here .

listen if the little mermaid 2023 did anything right it was ariel and eric... they were already a good couple in the original but fleshing him out and making him drawn to the ocean in a parallel to ariel being drawn to land is so good. and kind of increasing that human vs merfolk tension to make it this romeo & juliet love story. like sorry they kind of slayed there. eric sees ariel turn back into a mermaid in front of him and all he does is hold her tighter. they're both gigantic nerds. he's a foot taller than her. it's incredible.

I don't like commenting on folk's relationships for obvious reasons. But I feel frustrated for Halle (and now fearful). How many time are we going to excuse RSP's outbursts as just publicity?

From the start when I found out who she was dating (after looking him up), I had a sick feeling. Dating someone with a gun charge and representing Disney don't mix well together.

I get the appeal of dating a bad boy, but someone who could potentially put your life and career in danger should be where a person with sense draws the line.

It's a bad look that her career is on such a high trajectory and his is not - compounded by the fact that he has demonstrated that he has low emotional intelligence and will never hesitate to drag her male leads into his insecure posts and embarrass her.

After all the work she put into achieving her level of success and all the challenges she faced to be where she is, I hope a light bulb will go off. I hope since she is close with her family that they can advise her in a positive and strategic way...before it's too late.
