When scrolling on tiktok, I discovered a technique called 'hammered flowers'. The technique involves hammering down flowers onto paper and creating marks and shapes with the colours they print. I was somewhat taken aback by this idea, wanting to explore further whether this was actually possible.

The individual who made the video I found was named @hammerflower on tiktok and they created numerous hammered flower designs. After some quick research, I discovered the technique is derived from Japan and was used to make marks on fabric. The technique has also been labelled flower pounding or traditionally Tatakizome. In response to this video, I want to trial the hammered flowers technique and see what results it creates.
