"Sorry you do mind passing me that book beside you?" She pointed to the history book by the stranger's shoulder. She wanted to learn more about this world and was buying lots of books to study as much as she could. She hated not knowing things. She could bury herself in books and be completely happy. She also didn't want to burden Will with all of her questions anymore.

I dont know if its what u are looking for but i got a quartz crystal point necklace a while back and it helped me stop chewing chewing on them. i just have it wedged against my lips all the time and enjoy that feeling. Its sooo nice. Idk why but i recommend. I still nom on my other jewelry but not chew chw I have to stay away from intricately beaded ones for fear of breaking them. Did that once when i was younger and destroyed it and swallowed a ton of seed beads and traumatized myself greatly.
I had a sterling silver necklace as kid that I would chew on until my brother broke the chain. All through middle school I wore the power bead type bracelets to fidget with. (Seeing them sold as fidget jewelry now is very validating lol.) But mostly I’m tired of not noticing that I’ve chewed up the front of my t-shirts while working at home. ^^;

GIT R' DONE: STARTING A PARTICULAR PIECE
Anonymous asked theroadpavedwithwords:
Hi, thanks for the awesome blog! Could you describe/make a post/ give advice, about starting a story? As in, I have a developed ideas with characters and plot and conflict, but absolutely nothing written. What should I do?'
If I were graceful, I’d curtsey deeply to you for your lovely compliment. However that will end in someone being sent to hospital with a fracture of some sort, so I’ll just answer your question. Mind, these might not work for you since writing is a very subjective process, but they sure as hell work for me, and so I’m not ashamed to pass them along. So here are five brief tips on starting a piece.
  SET ASIDE THE TIME TO WRITE. You’ve probably heard this one a million times, and then again, but it works for a lot of people.Turn off your internet, unplug the television, and sit down with the actual intent of writing something. Retreat to a small, damp cave in the middle of a wooded mountain range if that does it for you. Whatever works right? But if you lead a super busy lifestyle like me and don’t have anytime to specifically schedule, you can always
WRITE GORRAM’D ANYWHERE. This is why I carry a commonplace book. I can write down snatches of dialogue or pretty phrases on the bus, in between being a diner monkey and class, or even just walking from the bus stop down the street to my house. If I have trouble starting the piece, I will literally write down anything and go from there, which closely ties into the next point for starting a piece…
REMEMBER YOU DON’T HAVE TO WRITE THINGS IN ORDER. If it’s just the opening that’s hard for you, don’t start there. Jump wherever the hell you want into your story – as the creator, you can’t take liberties that the reader can’t. I just finished a 10,000 word piece where I wrote the last sentence first and the first sentence last. You might have to go back and edit it so that the flow is perfect and nitpick the connections, but that can be part of your process. Don’t be hampered by writing in a linear timeline.
ASK IF IT’S THE RIGHT TIME. Some writers do need time to let something sit in their brain for a while. I myself have five stories that have advanced outlines sitting on my desk waiting for me to get to them. The reason I haven’t started them? Because I’m not ready. I know that they are not done percolating, and that when I finally do get them out they are going to be damned good. Also, to pretend life doesn’t exist is stupid. Where is your school and personal life at? Can you devote time to this? Right now, thanks to exams and the real world rapidly approaching, my writing has gone to the backburner. You should write anyways, but timing is always important in a relationship, and the relationship between writer and work is just as real as any other relationship. It’s why we refer to our words as “our babies” and dress them up in cute little outfits and wave them under other people’s noses, regardless of how much they stink. But the most important thing is to…
DO IT ANYWAYS. Find what works for you. Find out what doesn’t work for you. However, if writing is truly, truly what you want to do, you will do it. It is hard work. It is exhausting and tiring and my blog should more accurately be called “the road paved with excessive caffeine and frustrated tears”, but you can’t be afraid of a little pain because the gain is totally worth it. You need to just do it. Do it at your own pace. 50 words, 500 words, 5000 words. Each word is a step getting you to where you need to go. Sometimes you just need to pull a Baggins and start your adventure, however unwillingly or unexpected or hard it might seem. My challenge to you is that today you must write a page. A page from anywhere in your story, whether it be a short description or some dialogue or a kick-ass fight scene. Just write the page. If I knew who you were anonymous, I’d make you send me the page just so I know you did it. It doesn’t have to be good, it doesn’t have to make it into the final draft, it doesn’t even have to make sense. You just have to start. So forget your handkerchiefs and cloak, and just go.
One page. Just One. Go forth hobbitses, and slay the dragon.

love the colour scheme!
Thanks! It’s Alpine Authentic (Teal Multi) by Yarn Bee. It was in the sale pile at hooby looby which is pretty much the only time I buy from there anymore.

That is just what rib stitch does. I don't think it's your gauge.
I did my test swatch with the stockinette? stitch so that might have thrown it off too. It’s long enough now though that I can try it on and it seems fine if a bit loose.
