It's Byleth and his twin sister, Beres' birthday. They have dinner with their parents and talk a little about why each of their partners don't join them, before Byleth seeks out Yuri to apologize for changing his plans earlier that day. They talk about their ace relationship and have a romantic night in together.

“It's more than that,” Byleth insisted. “I think my parents will really like you, and … I-I-I've gotten my hopes up before, that a relationship was going long term, only for my partner to grow bored or frustrated.” He said the rest quietly and at a rush, getting to the heart of his fears. “As you know, my asexuality was brought up in some final conversations, but with you ... I worry I'll discover that it was never the problem. That I’m simply boring, and frustrating to be around. You mean a lot to me, and I … I’m sorry.”

Yuri was frowning, delicate eyebrows bent, painted lips twisted, and Byleth could feel his heart falling through his chest. “Byleth.”

“I'm sorry,” Byleth repeated, his tone different, pleading, and Yuri reached out to Byleth as he leaned into his space, inadvertently pressing a dulcet pressure on Byleth’s breastbone.

“Love,” he soothed. “By.” Yuri took Byleth’s chin in hand, his lips softened into something kinder. “You don't need to apologize for your insecurities.”

Ashe and Hapi

Their supports literally give me so much joy it’s unfair-

Follow up because I can’t stop thinking about Ashe’s relationships with Dedue and Hapi specifically,

Ashe and Hapi: wonderful, beautiful, Hapi doesn’t trust the knights for good reason, Ashe’s one dream is to become a knight to help people in his situation. Depending how look at it, Ashe slowly learns to distrust the church of Seiros and the holy knights bc of what they did to Lonato and Christophe, and Hapi would be right there with him as he becomes the knight she always needed.

Ashe and Dedue: Dedue lost everything in the Tragedy of Duscur, Ashe lost Lonato and Christophe to the church of Seiros. They’re both orphans who still find ways to put others before themselves and continue fighting despite the world always working against them. Dedue cooks to honour his family and culture for Ashe who is one of the few who desires to listen. Together they are able to let the memories of their families live on through them and the restaurant they come to own.

These two ships delve so much deeper into each of their characters in such beautiful ways, both endings express that of pure peace, finally able to live a happy life despite the tragedies of their pasts. Ashe and Dedue opening a restaurant together and Ashe and Hapi living happily in castle Gaspard.

I can probably delve further into this if I knew of better ways to express my thoughts, but they mean the world to me and I will never shut up about them.

Dude, I’m playing through fe3h again and once again I’m met with the surprise at how much chemistry Ashe has with everyone he talks to,

Dedue, Hapi and Caspar are the top contenders for this, not to mention Dimitri, Petra, and (although they don’t have support in three houses) Yuri-

Bro is compatible with so many characters, he just stands somewhere and everyone falls in love with him, myself included.

Anyway, that is enough of my rambling, my point is just that Ashe is the best character an nobody can change my mind

(I also feel like he could have had incredibly interesting supports with Edelgard, but that is for another day-)
