it's so cool how my social studies teacher shares the same bday as him!!!

His birthday was yesterday, so he waited a day to stream 😭 IVE BEEN IN A REALLY GOOD MOOD ALL DAY. It’s been 143?? Days without Channie’s Room and it hurts my heart. But it was nice watching this morning at work 🖤

Angels exist, and Bang Christopher Chan is living proof of that. I started writing this poem when I was absolutely struck by the fact that this man exists. That he's real and not a too-good-to-be-true fantasy. And I thought to myself, would I still like him as much as I did then a couple months later? I do. Just as much, if not more because I don't worry about losing my love for him anymore.

Thank you for being my safe place, Channie. Thank you for being my comfort person, my emotional support, my safety blanket, my home. (It sounds dramatic but it's true.) You deserve only the best and nothing less. Happiest birthday, Chan. I hope you have an amazing everyday.

Happy birthday to the kind, talented, and selfless leader of Stray Kids who inspires many to push hard and never give up no matter how hard it may seem.

I think his story is beautiful how at such a young age of 13, he left all he knew to follow his dream, however uncertain that path was. He left his home of Australia, where his family was, and trained for 7 years. During those years he produced music with two other now Stray Kids Members, and in the music you can feel the passion radiating off of each line that he’s written.

Something I respect about him in hIn those older songs, there are many lines of him being afraid that he won’t make it or lines that show his yearning to be a ‘captain of a crew’ of his own (and supporting the small one he already had). However I also admire that his hope in the future was never overshadowed by those thoughts but fueled by them. Instead, he says numerous times in different words, that he’ll just keep on going and giving up is never an option.

Now, after forming his own crew who were all handpicked by him, he is the leader of one of the largest most successful K-Pop groups in the world.

I think this piece illustrates his message as it took days to make, 19 hours in all.

Many times I wanted to just give up because it was so complicated. I had thought that, well, it won’t matter if I stop now and post it late on his birthday. But I knew the type of person I am, I’m not one to start something and give up half way just because it’s hard. Through being inspired by Chan and his wonderful lyrics, Stray Kids and their beautiful music, I pushed through and this piece in my opinion is the best I’ve ever done so far.

This piece symbolizes, through its process Chan’s unrelenting passion and dedication to his dreams and team.

This piece also symbolizes, through it’s physical image, Bang Chan, a leader, writer, singer, rapper, dancer, brother, son, and friend who still contains the soul of the 13 year old who left to chase his dream.

If you see this, happy birthday Chan! You’ve inspired me and I appreciate you so much.
