🍷 Happy Zinfandel Day! We had the privilege to enjoy a visit @harmonywynelands in @visitlodi this summer where we spent some time meandering through their old vine zinfandel vineyard. . Though old vine zin is something that has helped make Lodi a destination wine region, many growers in recent years have made the difficult decision to pull up the oldest, less yielding, more difficult to farm and harvest vines in favor of planting new ones that are easier to manage and have higher grape yields at harvest. 🌱 . Every decision has its trade-offs, especially with farming and the wine world. . We recognize and appreciate the opportunities to connect with these older vineyards while they still exist and enjoy the layers of flavors their grapes gift us. 🍇 .
