WIP Wednesday (2/21) | Mafia Front Restaurant AU (Part 102)

Jean sighs with an air of exhaustion that suits his face, drops the wallet on the coffee table, and leans down to kiss the top of Kevin’s head. “I’ll be back up in a minute.”

Once he’s gone, Kevin turns towards Neil. “So… What are we going to do with it?”

“I figured I would mail it back to him.” Neil says with a shrug.

“To what address?”

“The one on his ID, Kev. Come on.”

“Oh. Right.” Kevin says, glancing at the table. He gets a look on his face then, an a-ha moment if Neil’s ever seen one. “I think that’s the same wallet he carried in college.”

“Is that a bad thing? It’s not falling apart or something.”

“No I just…” Kevin picks the wallet up and turns it over in his hands before nodding. “Yeah, this is it. I recognize this fucked up scratch mark in the leather. Aaron and Andrew both had the same sort of wallet. I think Nicky got them both matching ones. Andrew uh… Did this to his so they could tell them apart.”

Evan has bad etiquette at fancy dinners. And thats not because he never got taught how to behave, it was just that at the time he was around 4 years old, a year later his parents died and his grandparents didnt see it as necessary. Also Evan never put the effort in to re-learn it, unlike Pandora.

Evan will put his dirty knives on the fancy table cloth, is on his phone/distracted all the time, doesnt talk to any of the guests, when waiters are talking to him he just ignores them. He makes such a mess, you'd be surprised if theres a part of the table NOT dirty. All of this is his etiquette.

Meanwhile pandora... that girl is complimenting the servers, puts the plates together so they dont have that much work, knows EXACTLY which fork to use for what food, doesnt spill a single thing and is just a literal angel.

Thinking about Twin Peaks recently reminds me that there's this bar/restaurant-type establishment around where I live with the same name, and when I heard one of my former managers left to work there, I was like "Oh, Twin Peaks, like the show!" and my coworkers had to inform me that no, that's not what it's like :(

suna and osamu planning a date night, like going out to eat and all that, and osamu makes the mistake of mentioning it to atsumu so atsumu is third wheeling on their date. this happens everytime.

I love when I love my original characters so much I make AUs for them...

Inspired by too many fics about "the detective goes undercover in the mob/mafia".... I wanted to make an AU for "a mafia guy (Brent in this case) going undercover at the police station (where he works in canon)". The AU then spawned Brent's cousins, Caspian (taller guy) and Atticus (the bundle of sunshine).

In the canon-verse, Right and Luca's plots are coexistent which means that in canon, when Luca visits a restaurant he thinks is sketchy and probably a cover for shady dealings, that's canon for Right's plot, too. So in the AU, I have it owned by Brent's aunt while her kids Caspian and Atticus basically run it. There are other employees but it's mostly them in charge. So that's why Atticus is pestering Brent to bring a cop at the bottom.
