You were tanning well under the heat of the sun, laying on your towel on the beach as the waves rolled in.

The book that you were holding above your face was blocking out the sun, allowing you to continue to read your book without blinding yourself. The rest of your body was exposed as you wore a bikini to get a good summers tan.

Harry had suggested coming down to the beach for the day early this morning.

It was after a conversation about how you never took days out just for the two of you, but you deserved to, so it made Harry spontaneously organise this little excursion for the both of you.

The day has been filled with lots of love and laughter. Harry was now sporting crazy beach hair from the wind and sea salt. You hadn’t stopped ogling his body all day, no matter how objectifying it was, because he looked immaculately perfect.

You’d played football with each other, you running after the ball when Harry kicked it too hard. You had to put on Harry’s white over-shirt at one point because the sun became too hot on your back. Harry had given you a baseball cap too, to protect your head. It was funny playing football with Harry, since you had no clue what you were doing. He picked you up after tackling you one time, because you were so close to scoring.

“You’re cheating!” You laughed and screamed as he lifted you over his shoulder and continued to dribble the football until it went through the goal you should’ve been defending.

“It’s not cheating. I’m improvising.”

You’d had a picnic together, one that you’d put together from a Tesco’s express since this had been spontaneous after all. Harry had been cheesy enough to feed you some strawberries. Both of you had bought some little alcoholic cans so you could have a drink or two, loosening yourselves up and continuing to laugh and giggle like children at heart.

Now, you were peacefully reading as Harry had gone off somewhere himself. You thought he had gone down to the sea for a swim, but it turns out he hadn’t.

“Y/N! Help!” His voice screamed, making you sit up in confusion. You dropped your book and lost your page, not caring at the moment because Harry needed you.

“Harry?!” You shouted, kneeling to try and look out for where his voice was coming from.

“Y/N, baby!” Harry shouted.

You stood up and looked around further down the beach and back up again. You looked out to sea and then up at the dunes towards the car park. Then, only then, did you look just a few meters away and saw his head poking out of the sand. Only his head.

“What the fuck!” You jumped back in horror, scaring yourself as he creepily smiled at you from the confines of a small hole he’d dug. It was the fact it was just his head popping out of the surface that had made you loose your nerve, screaming like there were ants running up your body.

“Hey, baby.” He waved.

“Harry! What the actual fuck.” You streamed, holding a hand over your chest.

“I dug a hole.”

“Of course you did.” You rolled your eyes, putting your hands on your hips.

“And I got stuck.”

“Wait—”

“I’m joking. I’m joking.” Harry giggled, pushing himself up and out of his pit. If it hadn’t been for how mad and terrified you were, then you would’ve gawked at how his muscles moved when he pushed himself up.

“God, you’re such a dick.” You punched him in his arm.

“I’m sorry.” He laughed.

“I was fucking worried, y’dickhead.” You pouted and Harry came over to wrap his arms around your body. Your arms were fiercely folded over your own chest, not giving him the satisfaction of hugging him just yet.

“I’m alright, baby. Look, I’m not just a head.” He referred to how you’d only seen his head before.

“Dickhead.” You emphasised.

“Fair enough.” He chuckled. “Now, how can I make it up to you?”

“Kisses. Lots of kisses.” You tilted your head up in an angry pout and Harry could not get over how pretty you were.

“I can do that.” He smirked before pressing his lips onto yours.
