It's a long shot, but Boston, I could use your help! I had my leather dragon stick barrette that I hand made clipped to my bag strap today, meaning to put it in my hair once I got out of the car, but i forgot to take it off my bag. I walked from Beacon St to @harvard @harvardmuseum , first the anthropology museum, then the natural history museum. Then we walked back and parked at the Church St Parking lot, had a lovely lunch at @bluestonelane then we walked to see the @banksyexhibit I imagine I dropped it on the street some where and I'm hoping someone picked it up as it's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow. If anyone's found it, it's the only one like it I've made so far and I've gotten rather attached to it, I would really love to get it back! I'd be happy to make another the color of the finder's choosing to be worn in the hair or on the hand as a reward for returning this little one to me! If you would help me spread the word, I would really appreciate it! 🙏 #lost #babydragon #missingdragon #Boston #Cambridge https://www.instagram.com/p/CbeGSFRL9_p/?utm_medium=tumblr
After my trip to @harvardmuseum last week I realized I was missing out on a huge opportunity for physical examples in my intro class history of letterpress lecture. So: I present to you hand samples of galena, cassiterite, and stibnite -- or lead, tin and antimony in their raw, unprocessed forms. https://www.instagram.com/p/CapXdcyF66y/?utm_medium=tumblr

It’s a seminal passage in literature, so famous in fact, that it has its own name: the Proustian moment — a sensory experience that triggers a rush of memories often long past, or even seemingly forgotten. For French author Marcel Proust, who penned the legendary lines in his 1913 novel, “À la recherche du temps perdu,” it was the soupçon of cake in tea that sent his mind reeling. But according to a biologist and an olfactory branding specialist Wednesday, it was the nose that was really at work. - @harvardmuseum . . . #harvardgazette #marcelproust #memory #visceral #harvardmuseumofnaturalhistory https://www.instagram.com/p/B9VELxtgM4n/?igshid=1qxkp8lda1yuh

It’s especially cool to get to work with (or just near) fossils as thrilling as this beautiful iridescent #Ammonite, this bizarre little #tullymonster, and this terrifying #dunkleosteus jaw! The #paleontology department had an open house recently and brought out some of their best specimens to illustrate a timeline of mass extinctions. #museumofcomparativezoology #mcz #harvardmcz #sciencemuseums @mczharvard #harvardmuseums #fossils #fossil #naturalhistory #biology #science #naturalscience #iridescent https://www.instagram.com/p/Bvy4eHbg7IW/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1fsgstayqz33r
The beautiful #glassinvertebrates from the @harvardmuseum. This is a truly amazing exhibit along with the #glassflowers. I really recommend it. This Portuguese Man 'O War was just so stunning and I can't imagine making it out of glass! So many delicate pieces. #portugesemanowar #cnidaria #invertebrate #zoology
