Strangely enough, ADELLY's clothes always have the perfect sleeve length, skirt length and shoulder width for me so I really love all of their outfits♥ The photographer in the background in the second photo is booro who always takes pictures for my newsletter and other releases. A Night Which Made Me Realise How Lucky I Am To Love Music ～Winter Has Begun～

I went to Billboard Live Tokyo last night! ! The other day I went to see Shin Hashimoto and Yosuke Eguchi, but this time I attended a performances from Satoshi Takebe and Noriyuki Makihara! Earlier this year, I went to a live with Takebe-san and Ayaka Hirahara. This series of lives has been really impressive...😳✨ It was the second time in my life that I saw Mackey at a live event. When Mackey sings, I feel like the whole world is being gently embraced 😭✨ And I realised once again how wonderful singing is, I'm so glad I love music! ! That's what he made me feel😭✨ The performance together with Takebe-san was absolutely wonderful, I was happy to treasure each moment*･゜ﾟ･*:.｡..｡.:*･'(*ﾟ▽ﾟ *)'･*:.｡. .｡.:*･゜ﾟ･*

Talk Garden #4‼︎～Birthday And Shark Festival‼️〜

Wakana's Talk Garden #4 has been uploaded! 😉♡ This time it was even longer than previous episodes *laughs*🤣🤣 It's a birthday special I guess🤣🤣 Sorry it's so long 😂 I hope you will still take the time to listen to it ♪ The next talk theme is "Resolutions for 2024"! ! ＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／😂 I look forward to hearing about your aspirations! For those of you whose messages I read during the previous episode, I will send you one of these autumn-themed postcards along with a Shark-chan sticker, please be patient a little while longer! ! And everyone whose message I read this time will receive one of these Christmas postcards! They are all so cute😍 I think they won't be arriving until the new year but please look forward to it~☆

Today, I also held my "Wakana Winter Shark Festival Vol.3 ~Birthday Crosstalk Event~"! I was supposed to be joined by Yuuka Nanri but due to poor health, she unfortunately had to cancel the event at short notice (;;) I'm sure many of you were looking forward to it, I hope we'll get another opportunity soon! ! ＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／(I'm also looking forward to Yuu-chan's reappearance!) Yuu-chan, please get well soon! ! ･:*+.\(( °ω° ))/.:+

I ended up holding the event together with “Yuu-chan" (temporary name for Shark-chan who kindly stepped in as Yuuka's substitute♪) It was so much fun playing the Ishin-Denshin Clay Art game with everyone! You know and understand me so well ! *laughs* I love how you all managed to come up with the correct answer even though I was making clay art that didn't make any sense. Thank you 😂 I brought home all the gyoza I ate today! Thank you again to the staff members who prepared everything! ! ＼(^o^)／And here are all the sharks that you could see on-screen! I brought all of them in a suitcase. There were so many *laughs*🤣Lots of little ones too. Most of them are gifts from fans! 😊♡ Thank you very much to everyone who tuned in today. It was the best and most wonderful birthday for me! ! I will continue to sing and pursue my passion for music during the next year. Thank you very much for your support✨

Last Friday, I successfully completed my "Wakana Classics 2023 ~Winter Party~"!! ️!! ️＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／ Thank you to everyone who came!! ️(These photos were taken at the FC event after the show♪ As expected, Shin-san stubbornly refused to change his pose😇 I managed to look straight at the camera almost until the very end 😎 Everyone looked great in blue)

For this concert, I wanted to include covers as well as songs from my 3rd album "Sono Saki e", there were so many songs I wanted to sing, it was really hard to decide...(￣^￣) Still, the final setlist was packed with everything I could squeeze in, it contained all the things I wanted to convey to you!

Thank You Very Much For 2023 ☆ 〜Dress, Animeal and Christmas Health Check〜

Last year's Christmas was a dream-like day since I was able to spend it together with everyone at Kioi Hall. Well, speaking of Christmas, this year I actually went for a health check in the morning of December 25th! ! ＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／ When I called last month to make an appointment, they were pretty much fully booked, the 25th was the only available date before the end of the year... (´ω｀) Oh no! So of course I made an appointment for that day. My first health checkup in 2 years😇I was very curious about my body's condition. As for the results...(the doctor explained them to me in simple terms right after the checkup) I mostly had great results on about 90% of the entire check but there was just one thing, eh? Very frustrating😇Why... ? Anyway. The barium test was pretty rough😭 After swallowing the barium, the X-ray machine was moving around and I was desperately holding onto the pair of handles. It was wild 😭 I thought I was doing a great job following the instructions but halfway through, the nurse suddenly said, ``the areas don't really show up well in the X-ray...can you please take another dose so we can do the whole thing again?'' So that's how I ended up having to drink one more cup of barium🤣🤣 Of course I was like “What?!?! Really??!!” I told the doctor about my motion sickness, that I couldn't ride roller coasters, and sometimes I'd even get a little squeamish on trains so doing the whole test again would be difficult for me...😭 The doctor was incredibly apologetic and a little worried but ultimately we did it again...💦"😅Guess it couldn't be helped😅 And just like that, I was able to finish the test before the end of the year. Despite everything, I left the hospital feeling refreshed... Next, I want to go for a regular checkup with an ENT doctor! ! After my appointment, I actually had a voice training session!!! *laughs* What a busy Christmas! ! 😂😂🎄✨

The final mission of the day was a "Christmas party with my family" so I worked hard towards that goal😇 I safely arrived at my brother's home at the finish line! All my fatigue was blown away by the gorgeous home-cooked meals my sister-in-law had prepared for us...✨･:*+.\(( °ω° ))/.:+✨(Her food is always really amazing!) My niece greeted me wearing a Harry Potter Ravenclaw uniform that she received from Santa! It was a proper cosplay with a cloak, tie, vest, skirt, cane, and hat 😳 It was so cute 😍 And look at that beautiful appetizer! What is this...? The prettiest appetizer I've ever seen in my life...? The basil was perfectly grilled... How did she do it...? Both the appetizer jelly as well as the chicken were very delicious...😭✨I was able to spend a fun Christmas with my brother's family and my mother ♡

I don't think it was a good idea to eat such a magnificent dinner after a health check! 🤣 But it's a reward for one year, so I should be forgiven, right?! 😂

Now, I think by now you should all have received the latest FC newsletter, Botanical Tsushin Vol.14 ＼(^o^)／ I would like to use the opportunity to post all the photos that did not make it into the section [Join Wakana on an Animal expedition! ~Animeal Odaiba Store Edition~] ＼(^o^)／All right, let's go! I was excited even before entering! After carefully listening to the instructions, I went into the store! Inside, you can relax and interact with the animals while drinking some tea or coffee. 🐈‍⬛The cat is looking straight at the camera. Meow... You can buy snacks prepared in the store, they are very popular among the animals...They are all looking at me with greedy eyes😍 🐶 "Snack! Snack!" The cute little poodle on the right sits like a human😂 🐶 I fell in love with the white cat, Muta-kun, he was such a tsundere🐱…😍💕 🐱 He looked so regal. I was happy to be his servant 😂

There were also ducks and parakeets in a separate room (the ducks are usually taking a walk around the area.) Then there are capybaras and brown tortoises on the outdoor terrace! (I gave them some snacks while looking at the lovely view of Odaiba) Mr. Capybara is relaxing in the twilight while looking at the scenery of Odaiba.The others are taking a nice hot bath♪ The turtle was patrolling back and forth all the time😊 🐢"Busy, busy" I totally forget the time with all these amazing animals, sadly there was a time limit, I definitely wanted to extend it! *laughs* It was the best place! ! (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))) There is a day and evening shift system, so in the evening there are different animals out and about than the ones during the day 😳💓 I want to go again~♡ Everyone, please come and visit♪ <Animeal Odaiba> https://animeal.jp/

Now, finally, I still haven't posted proper pictures of my dress from the concert on December 15th, so let me share them with you here♪ These photos were taken for official purposes during the interview before the performance♪ It was a wonderful dress with a sparkling front! This is what the back looked like ♪ (My manager arranged it for me!! It looked amazing 😭 Thank you very much!! 😭) In the last photo you see me backstage talking on the phone with the sound engineer who is located far away. It was kind of interesting.

So, today's blog was full of photos 😂💦 I’m glad I could share all of this with you😍 I would like to post various photos from my Gyoza Food Trip with Mana Ogawa in my next post. Please be patient a little while longer😊✨ I can't believe it's already December 29th! There's only a little more time left of this year... Whether you're going home and taking some time to relax, or you're still busy with work, please treat yourself kindly and say thank you to yourself for all the hard work you've put in over the past year 😊 In 2023, I was able to do a lot of things with everyone's support. I'm really thankful to you. I will carry all of my experiences into the next year and try to connect them with everything that awaits me. I'm still working hard to continue making music for everyone! During an open surgery performed by Amagi(NinomiyaKazunari) at the International Society of Cardiac Surgeons, patient Tokunaga's (Hajime Inoue) body temperature suddenly rises as he is about to dissect the internal thoracic artery, and he develops malignant hyperthermia.

However, there is no cure for malignant hyperthermia. Amagi, whose nightmare is the same as his mother's, decides to undergo an extremely dangerous operation using an artificial heart-lung during bypass surgery, and Takashina (Kotaro Koizumi) supports him. However, all three coronary arteries to create a shunt for Tokunaga's patient have been severed. What do these scars mean? I've wanted to talk about this show since I watched the first episode, but I couldn't find the time. Now we're at episode 3, and guess what? It's pretty great still. Kaori has been at the helm of the whole series at Studio Gokumi, showcasing the studio's in-house staff in a very strong way. Kaori's approach to adapting this series is fantastic; the show is very colorful, especially in its character designs. There are so many fun reactions and expressions that I just can't help but love. It's been a lot of fun so far, and Kaori's expressive and colorful direction is a great match for the series' character designer, Takahiro Sakai. You might have already seen his designs in Yuki Yuna is a Hero, or perhaps you've watched the recent Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon (I know I didn't). The designs are very flexible and simple, which works great with the more expressive moments. I mean, it's just so cute, and when combined with the color design, they really stand out to me as a big selling point of this anime.

The story itself is somewhat comparable to the recent Bocchi the Rock, if I had to mention something to compare, if you're a fan of shows dealing with social anxiety and featuring fun visuals, I would definitely recommend giving this a try.

Since the title does say this is a write-up on episode 3, I should probably start talking about episode 3. This is actually the first episode so far that Kaori didn't have a hand in from a boarding perspective, but the expressiveness and reactions were still present in this episode. While the usage of them and the colors weren't as bold as Kaori's usual style, I believe Shinichirou Ueda did a really good job, especially for the more serious or emotional moments of the episode.

Kaori relies on a lot of contrast or bright and simple elements over detailed backgrounds to make things pop. Every time they're a bit quirky or making a funny face, you'll notice it. Ueda's approach is a bit more cohesive, and I couldn't really find a word for it until I talked to my friend this morning, who mentioned that he noticed it, and he's absolutely right. Ueda takes a more environmental approach compared to Kaori, incorporating more variety in distance and layout size. For instance, he uses long empty halls to emphasize the distance Umika must cross to connect with Raimon. When Umika runs during the night, it's subtly matched by the soft stars in the sky. In contrast, Kaori might have been a bit more heavy-handed in how brightly the stars shine or how much they pop out. I think Ueda's approach is different in that he likes to make the entire scene a bit more unified in its look rather than having one element stand out more than the others. I like both Kaori and Ueda's styles very much, and I don't have a strong preference between the two. I just wanted to mention the differences I see in their approaches.

Returning to the production as a whole for a moment, I completely forgot to mention that, aside from the aesthetic direction and character designs, the show animates quite well. It's a very pleasing-looking show, at least to me. The production is very solid, and I think credit should be given to the talented in-house animators at Gokumi and the animation producer, Kenta Washikazi. He has only held this role for two shows prior to this one (Yuki Yuna is a Hero: The Great Mankai Chapter and Seton Academy), both of which also had solid production, so it's clear he knows what he's doing. He has brought on people like Kouta Sera, who appears to be fairly heavily involved in this show as a key animator so far, and he's extremely talented. For instance, he did the cut of Umiko floating up in the opening. It's a perfect mix of in-house staff and the talent Washikazi decided to bring on.

My Favourite Comedy J Drama

Kyou Kara Ore wa!! / From Today It’s My Turn!! (2018)

There’s a few comedy J-dramas that I’ve watched but this is by far my favourite. It never fail to make me smile and laugh no matter how bad my day is. The characters are lovable and the chemistry are strong. The comedy is so crazy and ridiculous that I question their sanity. The fight scenes are cool.

Takashi Mitsuhashi (Kento Kaku) just moved into town and is starting his student life in a new school so he wants to create a lasting first impression. He decides to get rid of his boring looks and black hair by something bold and fresh to give off a delinquent vibes so that he can’t be bullied.

Shinji Ito (Shinji Ito) is another new student who wants to have a different image as well and they both started off the wrong foot getting on each other’s nerves before they both allied themselves against common enemies, the other bullies. The duo’s defeat of the bullies increase their reputation in school and beyond.

This attract the attention of girls school gang leader, Kyoko Hayakawa (Kanna Hashimoto) whose gang came under threat from a boys school gang elsewhere and decides to seek help from the duo, Mitsuhashi and Ito. Ito became infatuated with her and the two eventually got attracted to each other.

While not a delinquent, Riko Akasaka (Nana Seino) is a fierce fighter like Kyoko. She’s the school monitor who ensures the school fights doesn’t get out of hand and perceives Mitsuhashi as a bad influence to the juniors. The two always get on each other’s nerves until Mitsuhashi realises he’s in love with her.

Katsutoshi Imai (Taiga Nakano) is a delinquent from another school who always end up in the middle of the gang fights involving Mitsuhashi and Ito. While he respects Ito for having the same sense of honour as him, he hates Mitsuhashi who play tricks to win and his crush on Riko further adds fuel to their rivalry.

Satoshi Katagiri (Nobuyuki Suzuki) and Takeshi Sagara (Hayato Isomura), the most formidable gang leaders that can match Ito and Mitsuhashi who are the main antagonist of the drama. They are not only skilful in street fights but resourceful in figuring out different ways to beat Ito and Mitsuhashi.

It’s a fun and entertaining drama to watch, which helps you forget your life problems with good laughs. The action scenes are surprisingly good. I love seeing Kanna Hashimoto and Nana Seino kicking butts. The comedy level is just crazy that you can see the actors wanting to laugh every now and then.

PERSONAL COMMENTS

Both sessions have various games that Ryuji plays with his guests.

Session 01 revolves around Ryuji's 2.5D activities/activities with Mackey, Maashi and his other fellow 2.5D actors. Highlights include Ryuji revealing his baby photo, stories about Ryuji from his early 2.5D productions, like the "Musical The Prince of Tennis" (Tenimyu), and the feeling of what Ryuji, Mackey and Maashi are probably like when the cameras aren't rolling during the shooting of Rokumachi.

Session 02 is intimate and personal (with a smaller venue capacity), starting off with a DJ session of songs that Ryuji has sung throughout his career, including "Gakuen Tengoku" (from "FIVE") and "MIENAI START". Satoshi-kun and Gouki-kun are friends who Ryuji hangs out with quite regularly in private, and this comes across very strongly during this session. Highlights include all three of them dressing like their characters from "HiGH&LOW" but just being their chaotic selves.

[5] Miyano Mamoru is Ryuji's senior from their agency Gekidan Himawari. He is the voice actor for Shinmon Benimaru, the character Ryuji plays in the "Fire Force Stage -Hakai no Hana, Souzou no Oto-". They have also worked together in the "Movie Theatre Success Sou".

[6] Sato Masahiro is Ryuji's junior from their agency Gekidan Himawari. He has worked with Ryuji on "FIVE", and recently played the protagonist in The Brow Beat's MVs for "Juusei" and "21 GRAM".

[7] Umetsu Mizuki is currently working with Ryuji on the weekly variety show "Rokunin Yoreba Chonaikai".

[8] Hashimoto Shohei has worked with Ryuji on the "Movie Theatre Success Sou". He is also currently working with Ryuji on the weekly variety show "Rokunin Yoreba Chonaikai".

[9] Sadamoto Fuuma has worked with Ryuji on the "Live Spectacle NARUTO", the "Musical Touken Ranbu" and the "Movie Theatre Success Sou".
