ok we know about “do it again” now, so it’s Aziraphaleʼs point of view. the kiss became more loaded and everything, we love the drama and all but-
what were Crowley’s thoughts during exactly the same moments???
if they’re one unit, we need to know this too?? helloo???

Something i wish i knew as a kid is that no matter how scary it seems to know in x amount if time you'll be x age, when that time does come, whether you know it or not you will be ready for it. I spent my entire childhood living in fear knowing how fleeting it all was, trying to soak up every last moment and detail to memory, but in doing so I missed out on precious time mourning what had already passed. I may not feel 25 right now, but I know in just a couple years time I'll reflect and realize how young I still was, and I hope I don't hold it against myself for not appreciating it. There really is nothing to fear. I'll be different, but I'll still be me, I haven't lost all the versions of myself I aged out of, I've just grown to hold more of them.
Basically once you reach the age you were so scared you won't be ready for, you'll realize there was nothing to be scared of! Time has a way of making the pieces fall in place, regardless of whether you see the puzzle completing.

Let's Read Peanuts (Yes, all of it) - January 1951
Got some feedback and I'm changing the format a bit. I'll be discussing fewer comics overall but they will all have copies of the strip directly attached (around 8-10 per post). I may still do honorable mentions from time to time but only if a month is particularly packed with important strips.
There are lots of great strips I just don't have room to comment on. I strongly encourage everyone to read the full month at the official GoComics page. Today's month starts HERE.
Jan 1, 1951
This is probably my favorite strip from the 50's and I'm not even sure why. I guess I just find everybody calling Charlie Brown a fat piece of shit to his face as he gives his best thousand yard stare to be really funny for some reason.

Ah… the ways language changes.

I'm in this photo and I don't like it.

One of the things I love about these early strips is that Charlie Brown is kind of an asshole and dishes out as much as he takes.

So now Snoopy is not only sentient but literate as well. I see… [adds a note to the conspiracy board]
Jan 25, 1951
No insightful commentary on this one. I just thought it was pretty funny.
Thoughts:
Welcome to 1951! In the event of nuclear fallout please hide under the nearest cardboard box for protection.
I'm just going to come out and say it: I like Goofy Chaos Gremlin Charlie Brown more than the version you get in the more modern strips. Yes, the classic iteration has it's charm but this primordial version is just so much more fun to spend time with. He still gets depressed, but it's not his baseline. Bad things happen, but he's an active participant and often the author of his own misery rather than a passive victim. His friends are little shits, but he's arguably the biggest little shit of them all. It's just so much better on every front.
Also, I get why Patty and Shermy (especially Shermy) eventually got sidelined into oblivion in favor of Lucy and Linus, but it still makes me irrationally angry when I read these early strips. They were ~so~ important early on and by the end they are just completely gone without any fanfare. Even in the more modern media they're rarely more than background extras.
You did them dirty, Schulz! Shame on you! [shakes fist]

Don't get me wrong, Ethan's a fine protagonist and Village hurt, but.
But.
Clancy's 'when I'm done, I'm gonna burn this fucking house down!' makes me feel very robbed that we couldn't keep him for at least another game.

Also… (I am guilty of this too, both ends of it, I won’t pretend im not! but) when fans say stuff like “ROBBED OF A 10” on a routine that got like a 9.925 but didn’t have any errors so clear you could see them from outer space, and other fans jump in and point out like 3-4 valid deductions (leg seps, soft knees, bad alignment on leaps, sloppy footwork, etc). That’s like…….. kind of the point tbh ? 😭
I mean if you can identify those errors in a routine that scored that high, the judges can too. And if you want to go through all the routines in a rotation at that level of detail, I can guarantee you’ll find them in like 80% of the others too at least, on top of the indisputable landing deductions and clear form breaks many of them got. If you want to point out the minor deductions as a counter argument that’s logically totally valid, but also like….. if that’s the case, if that’s the standard you’re judging them against, then practically none of these routines should be breaking 9.8 lmao. Not to put words in other people’s mouths but to me all of those “xyz was lowballed/robbed of a 10” are subtextually arguing that if this routine got a 9.925, and someone else did a carbon copy of it in the same rotation but had a small step on a landing and the same minor form deductions, and they get a 9.90 from the same judge too, then what the hell is that?
And if we are all silently acknowledging that the scoring operates under a practically unwritten set of rules and standards in regular practice, not tied to anything written in the code and seemingly agreed upon by consensus as to what deductions judges will pretend don’t exist and/or don’t need to be taken even if they do, then what the fuck are we doing ?

newsreader s2 predictions?
Geoff or Lindsey will die, Evelyn will girlboss too close to the sun (pun intended), more of Helen's family (perhaps her father will die and she will come to the funeral just to slay), Dale will go to a gaybar and have bisexuality explained to him, Noelene and Rob will date and try to hide it for the sake of Noelene's professionalism and they will come clean in the last episode only to find out everyone already assumed they were dating before they were even friends

She felt his hands on her shoulders, ostensibly to take her coat, but she spun around, furiously knocking his arms away, heedless of the gun he still carried on his person. “You brute,” she sobbed between set teeth, backing up a step. “How dare you bring me here!”
“Paula—” he started, once again gently going for her coat, but she once again backed up. She pulled the collar close about her neck, as if doing so might offer some sort of protection.
“Before I’d let you touch me, I’d kill myself!” she seethed, and with that, she made a mad lurch toward the window, as if to throw herself through it.
Red caught her before she reached the glass, and for a moment they struggled violently, with Paula clawing and kicking and doing everything in her power to break free. They stumbled across the carpet, and then he pushed her against an upholstered chair, pinning her with his body while he fought to restrain her arms, eventually getting both of her wrists in one large hand.
“Paula, please—” he started again, but she wasn’t having any of it, instead squirming in his grip and trying to jockey her trapped legs into a position that would allow her to bring a knee up in what she’d been led to believe was a very effective—if unladylike—attack.
“You think you can hold me,” she panted, “but I’ll show you. I’ll—”
“Be quiet,” he ordered, and his fingers briefly tightened around her wrists in warning. Paula gasped at the sensation, and it was enough to make her comply, despite herself. Red heaved a breath, and for a moment they just stared at each other, both a little flushed from the physical altercation. “I keep trying to tell you,” he said, willfully curbing his irritation, “you misunderstand. So long as you behave yourself, I promise no harm will come to you. It might comfort you to know we’re not alone. I have two servants who stayed with me when my dad’s establishment broke up.” Finally, he let go of her and stepped back. “Anyway, do you really think I’d risk ruining my well-laid plans for you—a girl? Even if you are beautiful,” he added, with a cursory glance over her form. He brought his hand up and, with an odd look, regarded a red mark her nails had left on it. “Some little fury, aren’t you?” He took another breath and pointed firmly across the room. “Leave your coat on if you truly prefer, but calm down, sit at that desk, and write what I dictate.”
Me, out here, just rewriting canon scenes so that they’re sexier. 👀
