We deserve a rotpl beach episode actually so here are some headcanons:

Jane has a hot pink one piece that Nancy sewed the Pink Ladies logo

Olivia wears one of those fancy little transparent robe things and it’s pink (obviously)

Nancy made her own swimsuit

Cynthia wears swim trunks she stole from Gil (that are from when he was 13) and a swim top with the Pink Ladies logo on it that Nancy made for her

Hazels swimsuit has constellations on it

They have a Pink Ladies vs. T-Birds volleyball battle and Nancy is surprisingly good at it

Richie falls asleep so Olivia and Cynthia bury him in sand

Potato pours water on Nancys head (only after he makes sure she won’t kill him for messing up her hair)

Hazel invites Wally

Jane invites Buddy and he spends half the day trying not to get splashed by Cynthia and Olivia

Gil brought sandwiches and hot dogs

Wally shows Hazel how to surf

Jane loves volleyball even though she keeps getting hit in the face

Edward makes sand castles the whole day

Cynthia enlists Nancy and Potato’s help to dig a giant hole

Cynthia is Short so she keeps getting bodied by waves

Hazel and Olivia both brought books so whenever they get tired of swimming they just sit together and read

Buddy can hold his breath for a long time so sometimes he’ll just disappear for about 4 or 5 minutes before resurfacing with like a shell or something

Wally makes Cynthia jealous because she wants to know how to surf so bad but would rather die than ask him to teach her

When the Pinks showed up Richie and Gil were just staring at Jane and Olivia absolutely starstruck

Richie insists he can surf

He can not

Gil loves competing when it comes to water stuff (who can hold their breath longer, who can swim faster)

So does Buddy so the two of them just end up betting each other over and over again

i would give everyone a big ol’ smooch if you guys would stream grease: rise of the pink ladies on paramount+ whenever you possibly can. Today i literally had it playing on my tv while I was at work. I stream it when I’m cleaning my house or reading. Streaming on paramount as much as possible is the only way to guarantee a season 2 so please stream whenever you can, even if you won’t actually be watching it!!

-Olivia gives Cynthia Richie’s old clothes 

-Olivia and Richie are not twins. Richie just didn’t have enough credits to become a senior so he’s a repeat junior.

I was just able to buy the whole first season of Rise of the Pink Ladies on Amazon!! Did I miss some big announcement?! I was so upset that they removed it from Paramount+ and I wouldn’t be able to rewatch it. I’m so happy I could scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More Rise Of The Pink Ladies headcanons:

Nancy and Lydia gossip together

Each Pink Lady has a different Drunk Personality (Jane gets really loud, Olivia gets really ditzy, Nancy becomes very bold in a stupid way, Cynthia gets really clingy, Hazel just starts saying random astronomy facts)

T-Bird birthday parties always end up in something breaking

Cynthia once called Hazel over to read her a bedtime story as a joke but it’s become like a regular occurrence at this point

The T-Birds + Cynthia and Olivia have all fallen out of a tree at some point

Nancy does not shoplift unless we’re talking about makeup

Olivia and Richie have both almost broken ankles because they were way too confident about their ability to walk down the stairs in their mothers heels despite being like 6

Edward can hold a handstand for a solid minute (purely because Gil bet he could do a handstand longer than him)

Gil sometimes has to restrain himself from throwing meat at the T-Birds when they come by the deli

Potato told his siblings that he got his nickname after eating a whole raw potato like an apple

Nancy regularly rates the outfits of the two gangs and every time without fail Cynthia and Potato get a 0/10

Lydia has a collection of fake tiaras and crowns in her room

Cynthia loves spicy stuff but Lydia hates anything remotely spicy

Gil once dared Richie to chug an entire bottle of hot sauce (which he did without hesitation)

Nancy knows how to use a bow and arrow with 100% accuracy

Cynthia used to be a horse girl

Edward knocked out his tooth once trying to ride a skateboard when he was 7 so Cynthia purposely knocked out one of her teeth out of solidarity

Hazel laughs at most of Cynthia’s jokes and Cynthia feels so vindicated every time

Jane likes making flower crowns

Nancy took all of Cynthia’s old dresses and stuff and used them for scraps

The T-Birds work at Cynthia’s dad’s garage over the summer

Some random thoughts about Grease Rise of the Pink Ladies, before Paramount+ removes it, because I liked the show so much:

First, Buddy. Honestly, I never really cared about him, so his character development about his dad doing everything for him, didn't hit me. Like yeah, good for you that you finally know it, but it was kinda obvious that it wasn't the first time he did something to help you.

Second, Jane. Ah Jane, nice Jane, sweet Jane... How can I say this nicely? Okay listen, it's not that I hate you, but I didn't like you either. She was so annoying, she had moments were she was a good character, but overall she was so annoying. "Oh Richie pushed me back and Buddy's here... Oops I kissed him". "What do you mean you're angry because I kissed Buddy? But it's you that I chose, Richie!". Yeah not a fan of her character. Maybe because the show was too much about Jane and her family...

Third, Hazel. I loved her. So happy she got her jacket! She deserves it! She also faces a love problem, between Wally and Buddy. Buddy may know her better, but I prefer Wally, just because of the song and the things he talked about, like finding a middle ground. But let's be realist, whoever she chooses, it won't last long. After graduation she will go to college, become a great scientist, win a lot of prizes for her work, and maybe then she will meet a great person who likes her for who she is and share some of her interest!

Fourth, Nancy. Her character development took some time, but it was worth it. I love her, she's so unhinged, so funny, and such a great character. I love how she was there for Cynthia, and how she stood up for Olivia by slapping the teacher. YES GIRL, you're right, she's a child! And her discovering that she has a crush on Potato was cute! I would have love seeing more of them...

Fifth, Cynthia. And Lydia. Or Lynthia. They were so good together, I really love how their relationship progressed! The way they were on edge with each other at the beginning, and how they slightly began to like the other, to the point of Cynthia confessing... It was one of the best relationship written in the show. I would have been so down for more of them in a second season, and to learn more about their life, especially about Cynthia's mysterious dad and her mom who apparently left?

Sixth, Susan. I like her. I really do. She's kinda mean, but I understand. And I loved the little development she had after the driving test! I was a little sad that after that she threw her development away, but I can't blame her after everything Olivia's said and done. It was a shock to learn that she aborted and that she never talked Buddy. And the way her mom talked about soooo casually in the hallway, when everyone could hear you... It's honestly shocking that no one heard that! It could be a very valuable information!

Last but not least, Miss McGee, aka the true queen. She was the star of this show. Forget about the girls and their teenagers problems, this woman deserves more respect. She is the principal, not the other dummy who plays golf in his office. She does ALL the paperwork BY HERSELF, she's the one who talks to the students and their parents if needed. She literally kept most of the kids into the school when it wasn't safe for them to go out, almost by herself. None of the other adults helped her, she had to rely on kids! This woman deserves more recognition.
