My great-great grandmother actually lived next door to us. She had a plot of land and had it split in 3 parts and gave my dad 2 plots to build our house. My dad lived with her since he was a child and she was like a mother to him. I would go see her everyday. She would give me M&Ms or Reese's cups whenever I came over. 🤎 We called her Big Mama and she was born in June 1896.

Sims modders/CC creators, this is for you...

PLEASE put your name in your filename. One, someone will have a clue who it's by when they go to find more by you or to finally organize their Mods folder. Two, you're less likely to end up with the exact same filename as another creator.

PLEASE put your name FIRST in your filename. Alphabetization is super useful. It's less useful to alphabetize by the cute name you gave that hair or set of chairs.

PLEASE, for the love of all things Sims, consider not only using your initials. My Mods folder now has three different creators whose files start "MM". There might be even more of you MM's out there.

no but fr i really enjoy dev's character arc and peri's straight up my new favorite character (<- basic) but people should care about hazel more. she's literally the main character and it's a supremely bad look to only care about her for her relationship with the rich white mean kid

being a son trio stan is an odd experience sometimes because every now and then I'll make a post about or relating to them that breaches containment and gets 600+ notes and without fail there'll be a comment or a tag to the effect of "god hazel is so underrated! we need more frank appreciation! I miss the son trio! I never see any frazel stuff on here!" and I do agree with that but in the back of my mind I'm wondering if those people understand the kind of platform that tumblr is. it's nobody's job to gaf about frank/hazel/frazel and I totally get why people might not care about them but if you do care and you are actually interested then you need to be proactive and seek out that content. you need to follow blogs that post about them a lot. I'll admit that there's only like 5 of us in 2025 but active son of neptune appreciators do exist and if you don't look for that stuff then you aren't going to see anything about them

for example the other day I was like “huh I like nico I don't feel like I see a lot of nico stuff” so I looked for and followed some nico blogs. it really is that simple. so I don't understand how people exist in fandom bubbles and complain about how they never see [x] kind of content whilst making no effort to perforate that bubble. yes frank and hazel and frazel are underacknowledged by the fandom + by canon itself but in the nicest way possible I think sometimes your insulation is just your own fault. I see stuff for them everyday because I follow blogs that post about them and I post them myself lol

if I'm being super cynical I'd say that the interest people express in them is shallow at best or performative at worst - because it's admittedly annoying to see people say things like "we need to talk about frank more!" and then (no one posts about frank). again it's no one's job to uplift him or any other character/ship but if you aren't going to talk about him or look for people who do then why even say that at all lol
