summing it up for Zach - season one

//Zach's team might have brought some goods with them but he's disappointed they have lost Dalton. the situation they come back to dampens his mood further, but instead of comforting his friends and brother, he locks himself up "for a quarantine", trying to process everything that happened that day.

he tries to comfort Eric ( @denverdav ) when he learns that Cilla ( @cillalicia ) is missing, and talks to Ria ( @rhianwells ) about her husband, but he can't bring himself to talk to Ember ( @emberwexley ) about Skyler's ( @skylerb ) death despite knowing that the longer he waits the more difficult their conversation will be. he only helps her retrieve some of the items from Bane's apartment before anyone else finds it, so his criminal side remains secret.

some time passes and Zach finally finds it in himself to talk to Ember, knowing how painful losing someone is and tries to comfort her. they end up kissing but she breaks into tears. after a bit of talking they agree they should wait until their feelings for Skyler and Courtney allow them to move on.

certain that Vince ( @justaprick ) must have been responsible for Courtney's death and the most recent outbreak, he goes back to his 'investigation' - mostly to keep himself occupied with something and not focus on what went wrong. he shares his doubts with Ria and Ash ( @ashton-ryder ), but decides the community's morale is low enough already and all the theorizing should stay between them. for now, at least.

spring is almost there and Ria starts complaining about her dark blonde roots reaching her jawline, which results in Zach giving her the rest of his hair products. he helps Ria dye her hair cool light blonde and makes a spontaneous decision to shave his blue strands off.

 ⸻   WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE : Nothing stands out more than his hair, obviously, pulled in a half-up bun/ponytail style. It's shoulder length and dyed electric blue, but for his younger versions, it would be shorter, silver, platinum blonde, or even his natural color, which is brown (that's what my timestamp: tags are for lol). Zach has a real diamond earring in his right ear (his mom lost one so he snatched the remaining one), or a silver hoop. He usually has a few colorful bracelets on one arm and leather/metal ones on the other. As for the clothes, he likes hoodies and jackets, some music band/video game/movie t-shirts, and light blue jeans or sweatpants. Sneakers! He's got his favorite pair, too.  ⸻   WHAT THEY SMELL LIKE : Shower gel, shampoo, some rosemary and black currant. Hair dye when his hair is freshly done. He works out and does a bit of freerunning, so sweat, too.

 ⸻   WHAT THEY TASTE LIKE : Blueberry, I mean, just look at his hair, he's blueberry flavored lmao. Alright, on a more serious note, nothing specific. Salt or perfume for his skin, coffee or something spicy for kisses - he loves spicy snacks like Oi Muchim.

 ⸻   WHAT THEY SOUND LIKE : Too lazy to cut a clip myself so this and this is what I've found. Just bear in mind that the first one jumps straight to a nsfw-ish moment and is preceded by one, too.

Zach speaks rather quietly, almost monotonously, but in a good way, I'd say; you would want him to tell your kid a goodnight story. Since he doesn't talk much in general, he means every word he says. The depth of his voice, combined with how he speaks makes it almost soothing. It also takes a lot to make Zach raise his voice.

 ⸻   WHAT THEY FEEL LIKE : He doesn't like being touched/unprompted touch, so he'll flinch or tense up. Unless he's comfortable around you, then it's a different story. Zach is fit and athletic, you'd most likely feel that, no reason for him to do a handstand to prove that (but he could, just ask him, don't be shy). Zach is 6 feet tall, so that's another reason you'd probably feel safe around him. When he doesn't avoid someone's touch or touching someone, he's confident and/or gentle.

How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?

As long as it doesn't mean breaking his rules and doing something he'd hate himself for – as far as necessary. He's a pretty determined guy, especially when it doesn't involve any questionable choices.

What’s one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them

He's much braver and adapts more easily than I thought; he turned out even better at solving problems and handling difficult or dangerous situations pretty well. I don't wanna get into much detail since this part of character development happened outside this indie, but yeah, eventually, he'll get a chance to prove it here, too.

What is your OC’s pain tolerance like?

Pretty high; not as good as his cold resistance, but he'll be okay lol.

What is the worst thing you have put your OC through story-wise?

He's happy here since I don't want to copy Zach's character development from his other blog, where Zach is also older anyway. Nothing over the top, for now, but it's me so he should enjoy some peace and quiet while he can.

Does your OC have a tendency to get jealous? If so, how does this manifest?

Yeah, he'll be more bitter (in general) than usual and/or bottle it all up, it's not something he'd admit so openly. It all depends, but he gets jealous, even if he hides it.

no titles, but probably playing a game everyone thinks it's shit, but he finds it entertaining? or watching a bad movie, most likely some 80s slasher.

what does my muse get envious over?

he used to envy people who have met his role models, but now he can say that about himself too. he gets jealous in relationships, envious over the silliest things sometimes, but he usually tries to keep that to himself and get over it.

what is one thing my muse wouldn’t want someone else to know about them?

random headcanons dump - Zach&Eric pt.1

Zach has his right ear pierced and usually wears his Mom's diamond earring. when she lost one earring Zach immediately claimed the other one.

he doesn't like wearing chains/pendants while Eric prefers them. Zach wears many bracelets and, guess what, Eric doesn't like those.

Zach's existence is a constant coffee overdose and he only switches to matcha when he's in Japan.

never liked watching his parents’ movies, but can’t explain why.

he's mildly autistic, diagnosed as an adult. he's always displayed some autistic traits but they had managed to pass under the radar for years.

neither Zach nor Eric has ever smoked or vaped or anything like that, but they wouldn't mind smoking pot because, unlike cigarettes, it smells nice.

Zach's nickname's origin is obviously music-related; he got it from Duran Duran's album Rio and it was the first cassette he asked his parents to buy him when he got his Walkman. it also means "river" in Spanish, which happens to be Eric's middle name.

Eric got his nickname from not just one but a whole bunch of middle names his Mom wanted to choose from - Deveraux, Denver, Devin. the boys just played with those names, shortened and rearranged them, making fun of their Mom's ideas... until one day they realized Zach started actually using some of them.

although it perfectly describes Eric in general, his "Bad Idea" lightbulb tattoo was inspired by his Dad's reaction to the idea of getting inked.

Eric definitely has more clothes than Zach but they're all black so, welp, you can't tell.

7. What would you (mun) yell in the middle of a crowd to find them? What would their best friend and/or romantic partner yell?

Zach? In a crowd? Wha- Rio or Zach because he won't respond to Blueberry Bean and that's so rude imo. I think most people would yell the same thing unless they've got a different nickname for him. So yeah, if you wanna find him, yell Rio.

12. What’s something that makes them laugh every single time? Be specific!

Drawing dicks. His sense of humor is horrible, he's a child. His deadpan expression never stays on when he imagines how someone might react to his little masterpiece. I don't like using headcanons from the group he's in but I'll make an exception because #high-comedy. Zach draws tiny dicks in corners of notes his fellow residents leave on the building's bulletin board. Ofc he does the same thing on his own notes to avoid suspicion. He's Wanxy.

24. Did they take a cookie from the cookie jar? What kind of cookie was it?

Not me - Then who - *points to Eric*. But if it wasn't Eric (butter cookies!) and Zach did take a cookie, it must've been a matcha mochi or wasabi rice crackers.

27. What’s the worst gift they ever received? How did they respond?

His boyfriend broke up with him on Christmas Eve and ofc it counts because he was hoping for a LEGO set and was so disappointed he even went to a Christmas party with his friends. Another rpg headcanon, I'm horrible. I don't think he ever gets "bad gifts" because he either makes it super clear he doesn't want anything or gets something from people who know him well.
