Shigaraki: consistently portrayed as this sad, pitiful, barely-adult person who has hardly formed a personality outside of the influence his abuser has smothered over him for 16 years
Everyone: OMG he's so badass and independent and has his own goals and his own mindset and makes all of his decisions based on his ideals and came up with these ideas all on his own and--
Shigaraki: uncovers traumatic memories and decides that he is a human weapon and wasn't born for any other purpose than to kill and destroy, fully believing every word his abuser instilled into him since he was 5 years old
Everyone: OMG he finally overcame his trauma and stepped into his role as the leader of a revolution 😍 😍 😍
Shigaraki: remembers the pain he still very much feels from losing his family and remembers how much losing his family affected him right before he wakes up and goes on a tirade. Remembers and quotes his father's words in the middle of a literal war.
Everyone: Shigaraki rejected and moved on from his family and is just mad at society! That's what motivates him!
Shigaraki: currently so helpless in the manga that his physical characteristics are literally disappearing slowly as the story progresses
Everyone: OMG when is he going to take a stand and break out of AFO's control I'm so tired of him not being himself WHEN is he going to kick AFO's ass 🙄🙄🙄
Y'all
Maybe he's not as much of an independent thinker as y'all are wanting or expecting. Maybe, just maybe, he's never been independent a day of his life.
The Spellman Siblings 100% found 4 orphaned viperwolf cubs and just kept them.
They've seen dogs in movies, the viperwolves are the closest thing on Pandora they can get away with.
By the time Norm, or anyone else, finds out about the viperwolf cubs they aren't cubs anymore.
they totally snuck them into hellsgate and kept them in their quarters when the pups were too little to be left alone, but they were still expected back at night.
norm found out about the little viperwolf pups when he stumbled upon the siblings surrounded by books and videos on dog training they pulled from an old trashed project (you can't convince me humans and their obsession with dogs didn't at least try to get dogs to pandora).
they obediance trained viperwolves.
norm didn't say a thing, jsut walked out, convinced he was hallucinating, and then implies that they have to be kept outside the next morning.
every once in a while someone will address my theories as if I think Ganondorf is some good and wholesome misunderstood meow meow while I'm over here drawing him threatening a ten year old with death over a magic flute
I’m sure anyone following the wider Iron-Blooded Orphans G was already aware of this but the Grimgerde’s super-move (14:30 on this video) involves a full-on pirouette.
Godsdamnit McGillis, could you stop peacocking for five minutes?!
this scene is so satisfying to watch idk why... Annis, who has never known the type of person Arthur is, thinks it's a trick.
Meanwhile Morgana, even though she's fighting against him, for her it's hard to comprehend why Annis thinks it's such a big deal or it's trick.
Morgana's "cause he's Arthur" Punch you directly in the gut! She sees nothing amiss, for that's how it is. Any person who knows Arthur, they should know how he is, it's such a easy thing.
He won't risk life of his men, he's Arthur and therefore it's no trick!
I think what’s truly tragic is that KDJ might have, given enough time and love, learned to love himself. Towards the end of the novel, it was clear he was starting to accept that he’s loved, but he has not yet accepted that he’s worthy of love.
But. You can see him slowly coming around to the idea that perhaps, just perhaps, he does deserve a happy ending. You can see it in his tiny, fragile dream of living together with all his loved ones in a big house. A person with such great ambitions in tearing the Gods themselves down from their throne, and that’s literally all he wants out of life, that’s his happy ending... (Great, now I’m SUPER sad.)
But whatever amount of self-acceptance he had scraped together was completely destroyed when he found out that he was the cause of all his companions’ pain and suffering, that he caused YJH’s suffering, that he was nothing more than a hypocritical sinner.
It triggered his freefall back into self-loathing. That last act of self-sacrifice was less sacrifice, imo, and more a desperate act of atonement. He no longer dreams of his happy ending, because he thinks he doesn’t deserve it.
