Just taking a vacation with Chan in Japan, unannounced. Holding hands under cherry blossoms and going through convenience stores, much to Chan's dismay insisting you need real food with real sustenance but you assure him it's totally fine—four years of microwavable meals in college and you're still kickin' right? And he can't help but smile at the domesticity of all of this, watching you weave through the tiny aisles and choosing between instant ramen brands. Being recognized isn't even on his list of worries right now. That's what he loves about your relationship, being able have a normal life, appreciating the mundane which he admits he sometimes takes for granted—not that he doesn't like his job, he just appreciates the simple things that let him duck out of the spotlight once in a while. But this is LEE CHAN we're talking about. You better believe that night he's taking you somewhere fancy, with a private room and tasting and whatnot. And yet with all of the fancy dishes and the surely expensive reservation for the room, you can't help but look over at your boyfriend. He didn't even dress up—not that he needed to anyway—and yet he looks so perfect in every conceivable way. The simplicity of his shirt lets you appreciate how it fits his frame perfectly, how his arms flex every time he reaches out his chopsticks for the next dish, how his adam's apple bobs every time he takes a swig of his beer. And not to mention his perfect pink hair that you just wanna gently twist into braids as he leans into your touch with a contented sigh (you definitely think you should do this tomorrow under some sakura trees). The next plate is placed in front of you, and for a moment, you're distracted by the combination of seafood and rice to notice how your boyfriend looks at you admiringly with the same starry gaze and a smile that he doesn't realize is there. In that moment, no words needed, he could feel all this happiness and love spreading warmth inside him... Or maybe that's the beer? And the moment you catch his eyes, you cock your head and reciprocate his smile... Okay, that's DEFINITELY not the beer, he thinks. While the chef has their back against the two of you, Chan leans in and presses his lips in a soft kiss to your cheeks. He leans in closer, and through the sizzling and the faint conversations of the muffled restaurant crowd outside your private room, you can hear the faintest whisper against your ear. I love you.

Shadow core Danny? Shadow core Danny with Hazmat AU? Indeed, with a hint of a twist. 

See that hazmat helmet beneath the hood? Yeah that’s erm, that might be his actual face now. It might be able to split open into a proper maw, as he found out during one of the early fights. He thinks it might be a shadow-core thing though, because Fright Knight has something similar, along with the Keeper. Who's apparently a ghost that keeps track of other shadow-ghosts, which, cool. Cool library covered in flesh, nothing spooky there. 

He mentions this? Because apparently even if all ghosts partially feed on emotions, shadow cores need Fear the most. Which, thankfully shadow cores are apparently more rare than he’d expect, so he’s not going to go into a territorial frenzy or something on a bad day, yay! 

But uh, he might… count as a ghostling since he’s only a year dead- in fact he’ll continue to be as such until he’s at least 100 years dead, since he didn’t die as an adult. Which in turn… means he needs even more fear, at least until he’s old enough to generate it on his own. 

So what’s a ghostling to do? Take a trip to one of the most fear-soaked cities in the world, y’know, just a little weekend trip every month. Gotham isn’t that bad, and he can stay invisible- mostly! What’s going to happen, he run into a vigilante? Ha… oh no.

okay but like,,,,,first time dad Bakugou giving his baby their first bath after coming home!!! you’re fluttering around the kitchen, trying to make sure you have your daughters towel ready, her baby safe soap, a tiny washcloth, that her teeny tiny pajamas are in the dryer.

it’s only when you take a second to ask Bakugou something do you finally just—pause. your gaze instantly softens, a lovesick smile inching on your face as you watch your big buff pro hero husband hunch over the kitchen sink.

your daughter is resting in the baby bath seat, lilac colored and reclined back. she squirms when Bakugou lets the warm water run over her naked, fat little belly. her face scrunches at the new sensation, fists balling up against her chest. he coos at her, gentle,

“I know, ya little princess. Feels weird on ya, doesn’t it?” he asks her, voice so small under the running water. he cups his hand, holds a handful of water, tilts her fat cheek up to let it slide in her neck rolls that always smell like milk. she whines at that, sniffles and hiccups before she cries. you go to take a step forward, to console her, but Bakugou is so patient.

“It’s alright,” he kisses her tears away. “Daddy’s just tryna help you.” he runs the water all over her body, and paired with his softly spoken words, does she finally quiet after a few seconds. her little body trembles with the aftermath, pouty lips puffy and he can’t help but smooth his hand over the softness of her face.

“Yer a crybaby, just like your ma.” he whispers to her, grinning when that breaks you out of your stupor to smack him on the shoulder. you both laugh at that, and you finally feel the peace that is your little family. you lean against Bakugou’s shoulder, pressing a kiss to his jaw before looking at your daughter again.

“You’re gonna be a great dad,” you mumble into his skin. he doesn’t say anything, but you can feel his shuddering breath, and the calmness that blankets the rest of your house.
