Man today sure is something
#it's our slava (st George so yes I am low-key thinking of that silly post with st George and the dragon)#but one of our family members ended up in the emergency last night#he's okay now but he'll need a pacemaker just like mom#man that pandemic really fucked us all up#we aren't celebrating with guests this year because none of us felt too celebratory in general#we just wanted to chill and commemorte to nice food#especially since it all got so close to easter which was yesterday#and mom doesn't want to exert herself before the stupidly long way for her own pacemaker surgery#or rather defibrillator one#it's not like we invite a lot of folks every year anyways#it used to be so big to celebrate slava it was when everyone in family and their friends would gather#and our smaller apartment would be cramed with people and music and singing#but now everyone is too tired and broke and busy to leave work to celebrate#really we lost all social touches we used to have because of how work is now#no time for anything no will or energy#and considering everything going on in the world atm it's really hard to be happy about anything#it's hard not to feel super lucky...
