Fridays, gotta love em' (A continuation)
Low-key wanna write an actual fic to go with that idea but...headcanon format is low-key funnier so:
Talking about this fic -----
So the entire premise of "Fridays, gotta love em'" is pretty much some weird crossover/reverse isekai/dimension travelling
Basically I just wanted to see WMMAP Claude struggle with modern tech because my humor has devolved into this. Also I wanted to see how a modern LP-verse would work.
Now I think Modern LP Athy would probably get better emotional support? Because she's not exactly isolated in a modern equivalent of the Ruby Palace.
Modern LP Athy basically has a deadbeat dad aka modern LP Claude. Although she still has Lily taking care of her. In a modern LP verse, I'd guess Claude ignores his daughter in favour of his niece simply because of inability to move on from Diana-Jennette (Did I spell that right??) looks like Penelope, and I'd say it's easier to face the child born of your dead cheating girlfriend and your equally deadbeat dad of a brother (I still idk if Anastacius would be a good dad, but since this is a modern lp au he's not) than your own child who constantly reminds you of your dead spouse.
Claude provides funds for Athy's upbringing, education, etc. But he's not actually there for her. Lily and Felix are more like parents than this guy. (It's still pretty much emotional neglect though Claude.) He's more of a walking wallet than her Dad really.
Now Athy is brought up mostly by Lily, and Felix since there's no way to hide the fact he has a kid. So while she does grow up yearning for her nearly always absent biological father, she has a good father figure in the form of one (1) Felix Robane.
Later she moves out and gets an apartment of her own ig.
Anyways so back to the ACTUAL plot
Yes Athy here concusses the reverse isekai-ed wmmap Claude into oblivion with her door. Why? Because Claude passing out at least once is completely obligatory and needed.
So Athy hauls wmmap Claude onto her couch. Upon closer inspection, she realises this rando in her apartment is pretty much a carbon copy of her deadbeat dad. So Athy's thought process is basically:
My Dad??? Is in my apartment???? Dressed in robes???? Is he cosplaying why is he HERE
She ties him up and waits with pepper spray and a frying pan for him to wake up. A bit like that scene from Tangled where Eugene is tied up with Rapunzel's hair.
So when Claude wakes up he's basically like "where am I, why am I tied up and why is my daughter looking like she doesn't know me and what is she wearing wtf is happening." Also his magic isn't very stable rn because plot and he just got forcibly chucked to an alternate universe.
And when he opens his eyes Athy can now see that yup, this is defo her dad. (She calls him Father though, because like they say "Father is for emotional distance"). So she basically goes "Father wtf are you doing here (you deadbeat)" with an added "why are you cosplaying"
wmmap Claude has no idea wtf she's saying and is now lowkey sad he's hearing his daughter (*cough* lowkey emotional support child *cough*) call him "father" bc emotional distance. But then he's like wait what if this ISN'T my daughter
Ofc this Athy is technically his Athy, just an alternate universe version of her. So that gets resolved after a bit. Then this Athy learns that this is basically a fantasy AU version of her father. Except he's somehow an ok parent. Bit of angst there seeing as her universe's version is practically a deadbeat parent
But now we have one (1) overprotective dad aka wmmap Claude (sudden image of him collecting Athys like pokemon) who is technically a tech dino
So shenanigans: Claude inwardly freaking out over the TV. What is this glowing box with pictures. Advanced memory stone???
They end up sitting down and talking about modern day technology. Claude is pretty interested, so Athy brings out some of the books she has and they go over them. Claude seems especially interested in cameras/camcorders/the likes. (Instant pics without using a memory stone/hiring a painter? He's pretty interested)
Eventually Athy's gonna need to get some clothes for him. And since this world's Claude doesn't really notice/care about her and what she does, Athy has no problem using her Dad's money to buy this Claude some modern-day wear because let's face it, he'd cause a commotion wearing that robe-and let's not mention the commotion caused by his face and (partially exposed) body.
Claude likes the sweatpants and shirt combo. It's comfy.
Also back to wmmap Claude being an overprotective Dad: he grows to really care for this Athy-also, he can probably empathise with the daddy issues/deadbeat dad part, even if said deadbeat dad is technically him. So don't hurt his newly adopted sunshine child because I can't guarantee you'll live another day. (Sometimes he thinks of taking her back to his own dimension when finding a way back.)
But when he does, Athy won't ever go with him. Because no matter how much she grows to care for this alternate version of her father, she cares more for Felix and Lily. To her, they're her "real" parents.
So if this was a fic, the ending would be quite bittersweet I suppose.
-----
Do I know what I'm doing here? Nope.
Might elaborate more/flesh out some more of this if I have enough time and the motivation to do so.

Little Flutters.
BNHA | Midoriya Izuku x Preg!Reader
Yesss, it’s done! I hope you like this! <3 It’s fluffy so prepare your heart XD
The headcanons will be released after I’m done with Shouto one too. They’ll be released as one post.
I apologize for any grammatical errors you may find below.
Tumblr media
.
Ever since they were married and bought an apartment, the new location of his agency was inspired by their home and the future plans he had thought about.
Whenever his mind ran away with thoughts of the future, they were always filled with his own kids.
He was meticulous even while thinking fleetingly about such things.
Somehow the visual image of them would always lead him to the giddy, longing thoughts about her pregnancies.
Hence, he had somewhat managed to reach out to trusted architects, interior designers, old friend Hatsume Mei to help him with his agency that existed now.
One that was secretly connected to his home, through a secret basement only accessible to him and (Name).
The secret basement had two elevators; one was led directly to his office in the agency and the other led to their apartment levels above.
Of course, there were emergency stairs built into the basement case anything happened to these elevators.
The basement had its own kitchen paired with a food storage room, a fully equipped bathroom, a dining table for four, couches and a spacious bed piled with pillows. All these had an emergency button that alerted him if she was in danger and needed him.
He had placed everything and anything into consideration when he designed the floor plan and was always looking out for more areas that required improvement.
.
In order to conceive,  Izuku had been diligent in recording her monthly cycles and researching to understand the best time to achieve what they want in the spare time he could bear to afford while being the world’s number one hero.
That night they decided that they went all the way, and his hard work eventually paid off.
Her sudden hiatus from her Pro-Hero role announced, and her growing bump captured by cameras from paparazzi and nosy civilian alike eventually sparked rumors that rang true.
Deku, their number one hero, was going to be a father.
Words about the topic blowing up the media, they could no longer keep mum about their new arrival.
It was a known fact to everyone. And everyone meant...everyone.
Lurking in the dark corners of the society, villains waiting to crush the Symbol of Peace learning about this was an even greater threat to him than before.
Especially since now that (Name) was six months into her pregnancy.
He had to be more careful.
.
His next patrol was scheduled in another thirty minutes. Somewhere between his paperwork on his computer, he found himself straying away to something more personal.
He couldn’t help himself, he was too excited.
Ever since he found out she was pregnant, he’d been a little obsessed. Okay maybe, little was an understatement.
His phone gallery had always been all about her, but after the news came about, the space in his phone became too tight. That he ended up fussing over which perfect pictures of her to delete.
The browsing history on both his phone, their home computer, and his office computer was spammed with anything and everything related to her pregnancy such as-
‘How long should pregnant mothers sleep?’
‘How to be the best husband for pregnant wives?’
‘What types of pillows are the best for pregnant mothers?’
‘Tips for first-time fathers.’
Now before him was his second notebook.
This furious scribbles about everything he needed to know on it were the evidence of what he had been doing for the past one hour.
The paperwork he was supposed to be focused on was cast aside just like the one on his screen.
Green eyes flitted from the screen to the scribbled notes on his book before finally settling on the information collected on the notebook with a satisfied glint.
A sigh escaped him as his gaze slipped to the time written on the corner of his screen and noted that there were fifteen minutes more to go before he had to walk out the main door for his duties.
Closing the tab that had stolen his attention away from his paperwork, Izuku rose from his chair and crossed to the hidden elevator tucked in the most secluded part of his office.
.
The doors slid open.
Stepping through, green eyes instantly roamed the room and were quick to lock onto (Name) seated in a nest of pillows on the bed.
From her fixating demeanor, she wasn't aware of him yet. Her eyes were running through the book he introduced to her a week ago, obviously engrossed.
His eyes almost instinctively slipping down to her swollen belly protruding out of her maternity dress which looked so flattering on her.
His gaze softened on her.
Everytime he laid his eyes on her, she always did things to him.
Like now, the stir in his chest resonated with his urge to run his hand over her belly.
The need for the tangible warmth from her pregnancy bump to quell this yearning tug in him.
Izuku raised his eyes back to her face in time to catch a sharp expression of pain ripple across her face.
He watched with widening eyes as her hand left the book to hold onto herself, fingers clutching onto the fabric of her dress with discomfort written all over her face.
A shaky breath shuddered out of him as he rushed forward with palpable fear in his heart.
.
A weight sank down into the bed beside her.
Hand soothing over where she felt flutters of little kicks, she raised her eyes to find the worried look on Izuku’s face frowning back at her.
“I-Izu.”
“You okay, (Name), are you in pain?” He ran a hand tenderly down her face, his eyes glistening with panic, “Do you need to go to the hospital?
Her hand released the book in her grip and flew to his hand on her face.
“...Or do you want-”
A chuckle tickled through her mouth.
For a tall man who could announce his physical strength so easily through the ripples of his chiseled, taut muscles just by doing something as simple as walking, Izuku was still the same Izuku she had known ever since their days back in Class 1-A.
But it was what she loved about him. He always cared and never failed to show her how much he cherished her. Someone who never took anything lightly.
Especially something as small as the kicks bumping inside her.
“Calm down, Izu,” Her smile strained at the uncomfortable flutters as she met his eyes with an eager glint in hers.
Her hand moved away to let him understand what was going on.
“Here, feel this.”
Izuku watched her guide his hand to meet the bulging side of her rounded belly and blinked in puzzlement.
His mind raced as he tried to figure out what she wanted him to feel.
He had to force his hand to stay where it was, fighting the urge to run his hand over her belly like he always did.
Then he felt it.
A light thump against his hand.
Izuku stared, stunned.
Then another, just as he was about to wonder whether what he felt was a flicker of his imagination.
“...Wa-Was that?” His widened eyes rose to hers sharply.
“Yup,” Her eyes danced in amusement at the eager lighting up his face, “Our little one is quite a kicker, Izu.”
Izuku felt his heart give a squeeze as his hand ran gently over the area.
“Good,” His other hand splayed across the other bulging side of her belly. ”...That’s good.”
His lips met where he felt the kicks with a soft chaste kiss.
Izuku lingered there, lips pressed against the soft pulsing warmth through her dress, feeling his heart swell with love.
The silence from the man felt so fragile and precious to her. She couldn’t bring herself to say or do anything but to just smile at him.
Finally, he raised his head.
His green eyes were soft and tender on her. “...Does it hurt?
“Quite,” She saw the waver of guilt and worry in his eyes and quickly added, “but it’s not too bad.”
A glance at the clock across them, “Hey, don’t you have to go on your patrol?”
As if he had totally forgotten about it, which he actually did, Izuku jolted with realization.
“Oh right.” His heart sank.
He didn’t want to go.
How could he bear to leave after all that? Especially when his baby was prodding his hands with kicks now, as if not wanting him to leave?
But of course, he still had to do what he had to.
A silent sigh left Izuku.
(Name) had a loving smile ready to meet his gaze when he raised his head.
“Be careful, Izu.”
“I will.” He pressed a kiss to her forehead. “I will return to you two once I’m done.” He tucked her hair behind her ears tenderly.
Izuku lowered his gaze to her swollen belly under his hands.
His gaze was wavering as he felt another thump against his palm.
“Be a good boy for Mummy,” His voice was slightly tattered and breathless as he leaned in.
“I promise you,” He pressed another kiss on where he felt the light prods.
“...Daddy will be back as soon as he can.”

Headcanons pt.4
Middle school and early high school
I know American class but also Japanese class schedules. I don’t know if I want either or a hybrid.
Based off this post (If i can find it)
Naruto-band
Shikamaru has a knack for playing the drums, but he's never serious about it. He plays the drums because the systematic rhythm helps him think of strategies for shoji.
Has been asked multiple times to join the jazz band in Spring. He refuses everytime because it cuts his time in shoji, but once he gets his own cubie in the band hall he sets up his shoji board and plays it when he has free time.
Hinata has played the violin but hates the way her fingers hurt after being forced to play for long hours.
So she seeks asylum in the band hall, and has secretly taken lessons how to play the saxophone. It's her favorite of all the wind instruments.
She has been asked to join the spring jazz band, despite not being an actual member. She easily took the first chair when they were evaluating their skills.
Choji has been following a senior that's been teaching him the guitar, he's in the brass section playing the tuba. Has been asked to replace the senior when he gets older and wants to.
Naruto is in the brass section with Kiba but only Kiba is the trumpet player. Naruto is a trombone player and tells dad jokes. He didn’t fit the mold of a trumpet player but he still loves it regardless.
But his energy is definitely on par, if not greater than the rest. He will always cheer up everyone around him and is a part of the cheerleading squad.
Hates that there aren't anyone other guys. He just wants to flip off someone's shoulders. Damnit!
He's flipped off Sasuke's and Shikamaru's shoulders before. In Sasuke's case, it was during elementary/primary. They were on the playground and this was Naruto’s second ever attempt to land a backflip. They couldn’t do it because the teacher caught them when a group started forming and they started betting their snacks from lunch to see if Naruto failed or not.
They continued their promise after school and Naruto broke his arm, but he did do it right after. He ate like a King the next day. It was great for him.
The first time Naruto did it was completely by accident and because he was so excited that he got a trampoline.
He’s never taken gymnasium classes before and has not seen a backflip before. But he somehow did it. It still shocks his parent’s to this day. Sasuke and him are neighbors and he came over to see what Naruto was so happy about.
Sasuke came just in time to see him do it. It was the greatest moment of his life because then Naruto tried to do it again and fell flat on his face.
In shikamaru’s case it was during middle school and they were next to the pool. They were at Sasuke’s house for the day because he had a cool deck and pool.
Naruto wanted to jump off his shoulders into the pool. Shikamaru agreed because he didn’t think Naruto could actually do it. He realized his mistake when Naruto beamed in total confidence and Sasuke moved away from the pair.
Naruto didn’t do his back flip because Shikamaru moved the second Naruto decided to jump, without warning.
Needless to say, Shikamaru didn’t support his legs enough and Naruto accidently kicked him in the chin. Naruto ended up on the pool, back first, and Shikamaru fell on his ass.
Naruto swims up to the edge of the pool and looks at Sasuke, trying so hard not to laugh.
Naruto: Did I do it?!
Sasuke, trying to reclaim his composer: No, not at all.
Shikamaru, on the ground rubbing his chin: How did you even hit me!?
Naruto: Again!
Shikamaru: No!
Sasuke, running inside to get a camera or phone to record it: Yes!
Naruto is sometimes very confused as to why he is going to a house, when he has an apartment and his milk is about to expire! Also, his stash of untouched ramen!
Kushina: Naruto, sweetie. Where are you going?
Naruto: My apartment!
Minato: Naruto, we have a house.
Naruto: What’s that? Is it edible?
Kushina: Sometimes. During winter.
Naruto: Why winter?
Kushina: There are houses made of cookies.
Naruto: Really?!
Kushina, nodding along: Yup!
Anyway after High school they sometimes played together. Naruto had to buy a new entire trumpet because he rented from the school. Hinata bought her saxophone and has kept it under maintenance.
Shikamaru’s parents bought him his drum set and he learned how to play on his own. Choji does keep up with his guitar lessons but he did save up alot to get his electric guitar and a bass.
Card games
Hinata, Sasuke, and Shikamaru cannot play competitive and strategic card/board games. Scrabble, poker, 21, War, Bullshit is off the list. A Lot of decks, mostly up to 3 at a time and they are very distinguished between all of them.
Sakura refuses to play but does rude commentary to any group she is overseeing. Usually magic, because of Sasuke.
Choji doesn’t play anything but he does place bets on who would win with his snacks.
Magic the gathering.
Sasuke, Itachi played. Black Commander Deck
Sai, again his older brother. Green and Black Commander Deck.
Tenten; She found it and didn’t want something that Lee and Neji enjoy. Standard White and Blue Deck.
Yu-gi-oh.
Hinata; only because Neji played. Silent Magician Deck
Neji; because Lee played. He didn’t want to seem stupid. Hero elemental deck
Lee, he just likes the anime. But does have Yusei’s deck
Ino, she likes the pictures on Toon town and they let her do whatever but to some extent.
Both.
Kiba; Rarely, Magic first. Green and Red Commander. Gear deck
Naruto; Rarely, yugioh first Odd-eyes deck and Black and White Standard Deck.
Kiba, dissing on Yugioh.
Naruto: Shut up, your mother buys you mega blocks instead of legos.
Hinata and Sasuke are both petty about each other’s card games. They each have respective sleeves and taunt each other, constantly.
Neji and Lee look at Tenten on the magic side and hate that she betrayed them. She’s just glad that they don't harp on her in her card game.
Pokemon.
Shikamaru, because no one knows how to fucking play.
Shino only collects the cards.
Shino showing Shikamaru his deck.
Hinata: Oh, are you playing?
Shino: You can play it?
Shikamaru has tried to teach Shino. Shino doesn’t sleeve his cards and when they take damage, he puts some non wet, non greasy food on his card.
Once the pokemon dies, Shino eats the snack. There are crumbs everywhere and Shikamaru’s pet peeve is being messy. Shikamaru appreciates Hinata’s and Sasuke’s sleeves.
Shows
Ino loves Reality TV and other things. But hates the Kardasians. Loves Rupaul drag race.
Sai is often encouraged by Ino to watch anime around her and he also finds anime that she thinks he hasn’t seen.
Sai has brought up Keeping up with the Kardasians and it was a mistake, he thought she would like it.
Ino: The Kardaisians are garbage and Kyle Jenner is a fake as hoe!
Sakura, from another room, hearing Ino rant: Did someone bring up the Kardasians?
Sai: Yeah.
Ino: Never do that again dear.
Sai: Got it sweetheart.
Ino has never actually called any other of her partners by a pet name but she does with Sai and they act like a married couple sometimes. They never talked about it. I mean they have shared stuff about each other that no one else knows. Coming out to each other, learning together because they both feel safe and comfortable with each other. Trust each other a lot.
Elementary bus crew.
Morning
Konoha 12 except Hinata
Naruto was so used to being independent that he has left his house on his own for school. It has freaked his parents more than once but they just watch over him as he goes to school.
Naruto always spots a red haired kid on the opposite of his bus stop with two older people that he holds their hands. Naruto always waves at him and waits until the day he waves back.
Gaara is very affected by his past life, like he was carving the kanji for love when his mom walked in because Temari tried to stop it but couldn’t take the blade away from him. She got slashed on her arm as a result.
Karura walks in and gasps softly.
Karura: Gaara sweetie.
Gaara: Mama, you're alive?
Karura: Of course. Please put the knife down.
Gaara: Knife?
Gaara completes carving in perfect kanji and stops once he completes it. Then the pain registrator for him
Choji is allergic to mustard, he found out in elementary and by accident. Shikamaru went to the teacher and Hinata stayed with Choji because he was rubbing his face and making his hives worse.
Afternoon
Rest of the Konoha 12 except (Hinata Neji and Shikamaru) No Sai yet.
Middle school. Bus Crew
Morning
Konoha 12 except Hinata, Ino, and Sakura
Afternoon
Konoha 12 Except Hinata, Tenten, Neji and Sasuke
High school bus crew.
Morning
Hinata was too scared to do it on her own in elementary, she tried in middle school and failed, but she succeeded in high school. She has to wake up an extra hour and walk to her stop but she doesn’t after freshman year. She got used to it
Afternoon
Everyone unless they have clubs, even then there is an after after school bus.
Hinata and Neji are on the richer side of town and everyone in middle school often joked about how they are on the west side while everyone else is on the east side.
They all meet on sports day. The other schools were pitted against each other east versus west.
Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto were in a group together and were mocking Neji from a distance.
Naruto: Ew, is that a West sider?!
Sakura: Is that a boy or girl?
Naruto: It doesn’t matter! It’s a west sider!
Hinata from behind them, joins in.
Hinata: Ew a west sider.
Naruto, turning around: You got that r-
Hinata a carbon copy of the guy they were mocking.
Naruto: AH!!! They got us from behind!
Hinata blushes: Naruto-kun
Naruto: Oh, it’s just you Hinata.
They don’t know each other at this point, Sasuke and Sakura look bamboozled at their interaction.
Hinata is going to therapy for this because her parents are worried and she just wants a break from the whole past life stuff.
Hinata sighs to herself: Not again
Hinata walks off towards where Neji is and leaves Naruto in her wake.
Naruto’s motto: We are here to cause some ruckus, then DIP!!!

Love Conquers Amnesia [Amnesiac!Eijiro/Takara(OC)]
Hiya! I saw This video and couldn’t help thinking about KiriKara (my name for the ship. I can’t think of a better one, so if you can, leave it in a comment below!), and this is the result!  Anyway, in writing it and trying to think of a realistic way for Kiri to lose his memory, I kinda veered from the video when I meant to practically quote it, but I also like this version, so here we are! Also, if you want more domestic KiriKara, send an Ask or message me and I’ll totally write it (as long as it’s not smut. Sorry!)!!
Real quick before I begin, @dailyojiromashirao is pretty much on my permanent MHA writing taglist, cus they’re always so sweet and supportive! Love you! And maybe @elite-guard-hardygal would enjoy this, too?? IDK. Feel free to ignore, lovey!
Now that that’s done, I will only this before we begin; I hope you all enjoy!
God Bless and Good Day!
~The Lupine Sojourner
Tumblr media
(P.S: This guy is my headcanon/faceclaim for Adult!Eijiro, btw. I haven’t seen Bleach, but I know he’s a character in that show. This is the face Kiri makes when he sees his waifu but doesn’t remember her yet. She startles him with her beauty! XD)
Statistically, it was probably more shocking that it took so long for this to happen, given our profession.
But, it was still very shocking to get a call in the middle of a daytime patrol. “Are you Mrs. Takara Kirishima?” The person on the other end asks. I gulp.
“Yes, this is she. Who’s calling?” I ask as politely as I can.
“The receptionist at Sanno Hospital. I’m calling to report your husband’s admittance.” Instantly, my heart plummets into my toes, and the temperature seems to drop below freezing.
“O-oh...I...Is he..?”
“He’s in surgery. We’re still unsure precisely what happened, but more details are emerging the longer we have him. The doctors are very hopeful, however.” I can’t help but not feel comforted by those words. Something could always happen. It only took one wrong move, one instant, for everything to change.
“O-okay. I’ll be there in around thirty minutes. Thank you.” I say, then hang up. I race back to my agency. The one Kiri and I shared, like everything else. I rip off my headgear and toss it into the locker along with my belt, all while calling out the situation, before sprinting for my- -our- -car. We were supposed to drive home together and have a family movie night with our five-year-old son, Senshi.
This wasn’t supposed to happen! Kiri had an amazingly defensive Quirk. How could someone have hospitalized him?!
=#=#=#=#=
“The story we’ve pieced together from the data we’ve collected is this;” the doctor explains when I arrive. “your husband was fighting an unknown villain, and somehow suffered trauma to the head, resulting in the loss of the fight, and…”
“What?” I press urgently. I needed to know!
“Well, with brain injuries...memories are the easiest to lose, we’ve found. It appears your body automatically purges memories first instead of the knowledge of how to breathe, for example. I’m sorry, Mrs. Kirishima, but there is a strong possibility that your husband won’t remember much when he wakes up.” I thank him for telling me absently, eyes peeking into the room, to Kiri laying still on the bed. “And we’re not sure when he’ll wake up. We hardly had to use anesthesia on him for the surgery; he was unconscious when he was admitted, but without any real indication that we could find as to why. I’m sorry.” I nod.
“Thanks for doing what you could, doc.” I murmur, walking slowly into the room. The man smiles sadly at me and leaves me to sit beside Kiri. His hair had to be combed down and messed around so they could run tests to see why he was still out cold, and the black hospital gown looked incredibly odd on him. His chest rose and fell rhythmically. It seemed to lull me into a doze, one I tried to fight without much luck.
=#=#=#=#=
It’s only a few hours later that I wake up, and Kiri still isn’t awake. I hold in a groan and stand, stretching out my back and arms that were sore from sleeping in the chair.
I wasn’t planning on leaving til Kiri woke up and I could ascertain for myself his condition, so I watch him. His chest goes up and down and the heart rate monitor beeps incessantly as time creeps by. It was unknown how long I sat there before I started to fall asleep again. I shook myself. I wouldn’t fall asleep again until I saw Kiri awake.
So I stood again, deciding to leave briefly to get a cup of coffee and call people. Mainly Ma, Pa (what I call Mr. and Mrs. Kirishima) and Katsuki. They deserved to know what had happened.
It went about as well as expected. They were upset (Katsuki vowing to roast Kiri for being so sloppy as to let that villain get a hit on him), but promised to get here soon.
I then got my coffee and headed back to Kiri’s room, only to find him standing and gazing at the sunrise out of his window, his IV pole clutched beside him.
I gulp. Time to see what was what with him. I grin and walk over. “Beautiful, huh?” I ask, sipping the coffee. He flinches, jerking his head to look at me.
“Yea- -uh...did...did the doctors send you?” He asks, stunned, cheeks red. I blanch. Of course. Memory loss was a high probability, the doctor had said.
“N-no.” I murmur, gulping the coffee to avoid talking. How was I supposed to deal with this?! How long would this last?!
“Wow…” He breathes, taking me in and smiling. “You must be the prettiest woman in the whole world.” It’s almost like he wasn’t aware he was talking out loud. I blush. Even without memories of our marriage, he was attracted to me.
“Thanks.” I reply, chuckling. It then drops. “...Do you know my name?” I ask tentatively. Eijiro frowns, scanning me again.
“...I’m sorry, but no...should I?” I sigh. Of course he wouldn’t remember...
“Takara.” I reply. “It’s Takara Kirishima.” There. I’d kinda told him. He’d have to piece it together now. His eyes narrow in thought, then go wide.
“Are you my sister?” He asks. I snort.
“No. No, I’m not.”
“Cousin?” I smile.
“Not a cousin, either.”
“...Then...what?” He asks shyly. I roll my eyes.
“I’m your wife, dummy.” I chuckle, ruffling his hair. He blinks several times, then grabs my left hand. I slip the glove I hadn’t taken off and he stares at the simple sterling silver band around my ring finger.
“...We’re married?” He exclaims, staring at my face now. I grin proudly and nod.
“Yeah. For almost six years now.”
“Whoa, really?! How do I not remember that?! Man, I hit the jackpot!” I chuckle, scratching the back of my head, cheeks scarlet. Wow...
“The doctors aren’t really sure. You were admitted to the ER unconscious and had to go into a brief surgery to try and determine what happened. They still don’t know, but my guess is a Quirk’s to blame.” Kiri nods.
“I have one, too, right? A Quirk?” I nod.
“Yup. You can harden your body using your body’s carbon. Downside is you can’t do it forever.” He frowns, then grins happily.
“I think...I think I remember that!” He cries. “I use it to fight, don’t I?”
“Yup. You’re a hero. You help a lot of people at our agency.”
“Our agency?” Eijiro asks, head tilted. I grin.
“Yeah!” Just then, I hear the door open behind us. I glance over and see Katsuki glaring from the doorway, only halfway out of his costume, as well.
“Hey! Shitty Hair! Remember me?!” Kiri turns.
“...You know me?” He asks. Katsuki does a double-take, then scoffs.
“Right. Forgot. You let a villain hit you with some dumb memory loss Quirk. Your wife called me. I was closer than your parents are, but they’ll be here.”
“Oh. Thanks.” Kiri murmurs, looking at Katsuki’s outfit. “...Are you a hero, too?” Katsuki flinches in irritation, then deflates.
“Yeah. So’s your wife, dumbass.”
“Katsuki, thanks for coming, but don’t be mean.” I warn. I knew, however, that this was just Katsuki being Katsuki. He didn’t really mean it.
“Ground Zero, right? That’s...that’s your hero name?” Kiri suddenly asks, eyes lighting happily. Katsuki smirks.
“Finally, you remember something!” I roll my eyes.
“He remembered his Quirk and that he was a hero before you got here.” I point out.
“I don’t remember my hero name, though. Or yours, Takara. Sorry.” I wave that aside.
“No worries! You wanted to model your hero image after Crimson Riot, so you chose Red Riot as your hero name as an homage.” Eijiro’s eyes light up.
“Oh, right! He’s so manly and hardcore! What’s yours?” I chuckle and rub the back of my neck awkwardly. It always sounded weird when I explained it out loud.
“Well, I’ve always liked foxes and wolves, so I chose Kitsune as my hero name.”
“That’s awesome!” I laugh.
“You had that reaction the day we chose our hero names, too.” I reminisce fondly.
“Yeah, back when you two made dopey heart-eyes at each other in class and we all pretended we didn’t see and wanna puke.” Katsuki adds, scoffing and crossing his arms. His smirk betrays his happiness, though.
“Really?” Eijiro asks, eyeing me.
“We-well, it was more like I made the heart-eyes and then, ah- -do you recall something called the USJ incident? It happened almost nine years ago…” Eijiro frowns.
“I...I think so. We were in some huge building, right? Combat training?” I shake my head.
“No.” I grimace. Even now, the memory was painful, my ribs recalling that day easily. “We were supposed to be doing rescue training.” I murmur. “Then villains attacked. My mom nearly died. She was our teacher.” Eijiro frowns.
“Oh. Right. I was the one who found you, right? Against a fountain with a nearly collapsed ribcage?” I nod.
“Yeah. That was a tough week.” He nods.
“Ah, you babies got over it.” Katsuki muses. “If you ask me, that’s when you two nerds started liking each other and making everyone around you nauseous with your mushy attitude.” Eijiro then blushes and tilts his head, scratching the back of his neck.
“Uh...Takara, I’ve been meaning to ask...do we have kids?” I smile, pulling my phone out. I pull up a picture of Senshi at his fifth birthday (just a few weeks ago), sharp teeth on display as he grins at the camera.
“Yeah; a son, Senshi.” My hand goes to my stomach subtly. I’d planned to tell him the revelation I’d had this morning, the one still waiting on our bathroom sink. But not now. I’d wait til he had more memories to tell him, though. Eijiro stares at the picture for a long minute or two, gently taking my phone.
“He’s just like me…” He murmurs. I nod.
“Yeah.” His black hair came from his father, but the large brown eyes were from my side. It was adorable, and an instant recipe for success on his end when he gave me the infamous ‘puppy eyes’. “He’s a good kid.”
“Yeah, that brat’s alright.” Katsuki admits, scoffing a little. Surprisingly, Katsuki handled Senshi well. He wasn’t usually too forceful and angry with the kid. He’d really come a long way since our high school days, when he’d terrified any child that dared look at him wrong.
“I can’t believe we’re married and have a kid..” Eijiro murmurs thickly, and I notice tears on his cheeks. “How could I have forgotten you? I’m sorry, Takara...I’m so sorry…” I hug him, tears forming in my eyes.
“Eiji, it’s okay.” I murmur, rubbing his back as he clutches me. “It’s not your fault.”
“If I’d just taken care of that villain, none of this would’ve happened.” Eijiro sobs. I blink.
“So...you remember?” I ask, drawing back just enough to look him in the eye.
“Bits and pieces. The more we talked, the more I remembered. The picture of Senshi was like the final key.” He says. “That guy’s Quirk wasn’t affected by my Hardening, and it only took a touch for it to work.”
“Great, you remember, now stop dancing around each other and kiss already.” Katsuki grumbles before I can react. I laugh and hug Eijiro again. He’s blushing as we part a few moments later.
“...Can we?” He asks. “Can we kiss?” It was exactly what he’d said, the morning he’d confessed. We’d gone sunrise hiking and he’d asked that as we watched the dawn unfold. I smile and play with his hair, just like I had that morning.
“Of course you can.” I reply, continuing the reenactment, and he all but tackles me in elation, kissing me so eagerly, I’m pretty sure my lips are swollen and bruised.
“Oi! I know i told you to kiss, but come on! Knock it off!” Katsuki growls. I smile into the kiss and deepen it, knowing it would piss Katsuki off. Sure enough, he growls and is stalking over when Eiji pulls back to stick his tongue at Katsuki.
“Oh, lay off!” He replies. “You’re just jealous cus you’re still single.” Katsuki growls and grabs the front of Eiji’s hospital gown.
“What did you say?!” Katsuki growls.
“Oh, good; I see we were worried for nothing.” Comes the voice of my mother-in-law. I look behind Katsuki and wave.
“Hi, Ma!” I call. I generally call Mrs. Kirishima ‘Ma’ or ‘Mama’, and Mom...well, ‘mom’. “Turns out, Eiji got hit by a Quirk that knocks you out and gives you amnesia, but it’s nullified by showing the victim photos or talking about the missing memories, evidently. He remembers.”
Ma nods. “Thank goodness.” Eijiro hugs his parents.
“Hey, guys.”
“Hello, Eijiro.” Ma replies. Pa smiles and ruffles his son’s hair.
“Gave us quite a scare there, son.” He says. “But, of course, you pulled through!” Eijiro nods.
“Cus Kirishima men always win!” He says proudly, fist-pumping his dad. I roll my eyes. That was part of the reason Kiri was so upset in Middle School; his father encouraged bravery and manliness in his son and when Eijiro failed to act in that attack, it whacked his self-esteem.
But, over time, he’d become every inch a brave, manly hero. And an even better man to be married to. I side-hug him and squeeze his side reassuringly. “And the Kirishima women will always support their man.” I add, chuckling as Ma nods.
“Agreed. Knew I liked you when I met you, Kara.” I grin.
This was what we’d always have; a family to fall back on, no matter how bad or weird things get. Family is priority. Always.
Crappy ending is crappy, but hope you liked the rest! XD
