Alistar. Holding Emily. For the first time. Therefore giving her the nickname "mini dove".

Don't mind me, just gonna cry.

Everyone was anxious. Eli and Ella were having a baby RIGHT NOW and the doctors only let Elias and Mia in with Ella.

Alistar paced outside the door, they could all hear Ella's cries through the thin walls.

But that meant they could also hear the new baby.

Everyone looked up, and alistar stopped walking.

He was so nervous. He had held babies before... mostly his failed siblings. His mother would have them, and he'd get to hold them, but a few days later they died of health issues.

Alistars father always blamed Alistar. "You held it, and ut became corrupted. That's why it died," he would tell alistar almost every time.

Alistar was old enough now to know it wasn't true, but he couldn't help but be incredibly scared for the outcome.

The door opened, the handmaids and doctors stood to the side to let the group in.

Alistar was the first by Ella's side, across from Eli.

"Is she okay?" Alisyar asked Elias.

"The doctors say she is, I'm hoping they're right," Elias replied.

"Yes yes. And she is sitting right in between you two," Ella remarked.

Alistar chuckled, "sorry,"

"Alright. Alistar, we've decided that we all want you to be the first one after Mia to hold her," Ella stated.

"'Her'? It's a girl? What's her name?" Alistar asked. Ella chuckled.

"Her name is Emily," Eli replied.

Mia tapped alistar on the shoulder. He turned around to see a beautiful little girl. She had dark curly hair on the top of her head, her skin was that of Eli's, and she was beautiful.

Alistar could've broken down and cried right there.

Mia placed Emily in his hands, he held her incredibly gently.

"Hello Emily. You seem to look just like your mother," Alistar stated with a chuckle, tears I his eyes. "Your just like her, mini dove," Alistar stated.

When he had to give up holding Emily to eve, he walked back to ella and gave her a big, gentle hug.

"You guys are going to be amazing parents," Alistar stated as he and Eli shared a hug, patting each other on the back.

Mini dove was as perfect as her mother.
