Lucas made it out of his 2nd open heart surgery at just 23 days old! He’s recovery well so far. Mommy’s little Lionheart is such a fighter! Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect in the world! 1 in 100 babies are born with some form of CHD. Lucas has a critical CHD, Double-Outlet Right Ventricle, Mitral Atresia, Coarctation of the Aortic Arch & Sub-Aortic crowding. The last two defects have been corrected during his 2 open heart surgery procedures. This morning, I asked the cards “What do I need to know today?” While I was shuffling, the 3 of Cups from the Sawyer’s Path Tarot jumped out of the deck. 💖 I love the reminder that this card brings. HAPPY FATHERS DAY

This morning I went to attend a conference. I was inside the hall when my phone vibrated. It was a call from my dad.( We both live in different cities.)

I got a little worried as he rarely called me(I'm having a fixed time at which my parents call me.) Nevertheless, I received the call.

Me - “Papa, Is everything fine ?”

Papa - “Yes everything is okay. But why ?”

Me - “No, actually you called at this time so I asked.”

Papa - “Can't I call my daughter at this time or what ?”

Though he said that line jokingly but it hit me hard and made me realize that in the event of growing up we never realized when our parents started depending on us. He called me because he just wanted to talk to me and here I'm standing and asking him about his health. Isn't it weird ?

I was unable to remember a day when I called him to talk about him. It was always about me. My pocket money, my college fees and so on.

Now they need us more than we can ever imagine. It's just that they don't say and neither they expect their children to know that they have started being emotionally dependent on them.

Keep aside your ego and just ignore that hesitation which stops you every time. Take out some time from your busy and hectic schedule to just call them and to say that you love them before its too late. A simple call to your parents can make them happy. Won't you this time?
