i think itd be funny if soldier starts falling in love with heavy and noticing silly little things he does and deciding his infatuation with him must be a result of COMMUNIST MIND TRICKS trying to permeate the IMPENETRABLE FORTRESS OF HIS MIND

little things like the way heavy handles his guns like theyre his daughters. the way his face lights up whenever his teammates do something nice or funny or annoying. the way they sit alone in the mess hall at night sometimes over shitty beer trading war stories andeven though soldier's pretty sure he's told this one a bunch of times before, and even though he keeps forgetting names and changing details around and forgetting to make things make sense heavy still laughs and cheers like it's the best story he's ever heard...

every so often heavy's ujst cooking dinner or something and soldier stomps in and goes YOU WITH YOUR RIPPLING MUSCULATURE AND CHISELED FEATURES AND INVITING AURA AND CAPTIVATING PRESENCE... He had never been one for counting sheep to fall asleep, and it only kept his brain awake, which made his mind full. Full of memories following each lighting strike, anticipating the loud boom of thunder. Those few seconds between allowed memories that spanned years to be crudely condensed into just a few blinks. He couldn't stand the loneliness of fear and… waiting, waiting for the storm to pass, waiting for the memories to fade. He needed to get out of the room before the walls started to close in on him… but where Would he go?

HeavySoldier is so good, y'know? They're both misunderstood in similar ways, but they react to it differently. Soldier is loud and overly enthusiastic, but his most serious and thoughtful moments are those of quiet consideration. Heavy is quiet and patient, but full voice and wordy conversations are where he's at his most sincere. They fit like puzzle pieces, I know it's an unpopular relationship to consider, even in a platonic context, but I can imagine them getting along so easily and having incredible quality time together. "IT IS HIS GOD-GIVEN AMERICAN RIGHT TO ASK FOR NO PICKLES" and all that. I can see it so clearly in my mind.

oh my god, so i was playing medic in a TF2 payload server and then i was healing a heavy closest to the spawn point so i can uber him once the round starts,, but then this soldier with a golfing stick (i think??) crouched and started to hit the same heavy's ass that i was healing.

So i went to the chat and commented

"That's gay,"

And then the soldier just stopped hitting the heavy's ass and then slowly turned to me and said

"yes it is,"

and then he quickly continued to hit the heavy's ass until the round started and i lost my shit.
