The Love Sea special episode said Blue = 💙Love💙!

I already knew that Tongrak and Mahasamut were color and fabric coded boys in love and the special really hammered it in. It also pointed something out that's been in front of my face this whole time!

We begin the episode with Mut waking up in blue patterned sheets.

He's looking at his calendar (on which the date is highlighted in blue) because Tongrak is set to return soon and there's blue decor on the walls and Rak's textures are in the wall hanging beside the bed.

In fact, the blue and patterns and textures are all over their house! The patterned rugs offer texture by nature, there's some decorative wood that adds texture to the walls and blue photos, there's blue in the pattern Mut is wearing, a blue patterned pillow on Rak's desk chair. Even my favorite chismoso Palm is sporting a blue patterned shirt as he helps Mut clean before Rak's return home.

Even on Vivi and Mook! One of them is in a blue pattern and the other in a textured dress and there's blue in their matching necklaces!

But that's not even the best part because LOOK at what Tongrak is wearing!

A SOLID COLORED SHIRT WITH A BLUE PATTERN ON THE POCKET OVER HIS HEART! THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF THIS SHIRT:

Before, it was plainly obvious to literally everyone that Rak was in love with Mahasamut but Rak couldn't admit it to himself. He was still afraid and guarding his heart so there was a solid pocket on his blue striped shirt. But look at him now!

He's got his husband's patterns over his heart and he's kissing him hello after a month apart in front of Viviana and Mook and god and the ocean with zero hesitation.

AND THAT'S BARELY THE FIRST 15 MINUTES OF THE EPISODE! The blue and the patterns and textures just keep going!

Blue in the tag Rak gives Mut.

Blue patterns on their clothes and again on Palm.

Blue patterns in the pillows and texture in the blanket they rest on while they go to their romantic dinner.

Tongrak sleeping so peacefully absolutely surrounded by all the blue in their home.

Mut in his blue patterned shirt getting sent off to work with breakfast and a forehead kiss from his husband.

Blue patterns in the tablecloth and seat cushions at the dinner Mook forced them to attend after interrupting their pre-dinner appetizer.

A dinner which they promptly skip out on because they'd much rather eat each other instead, UNDER THE BLINDING BLUE JELLYFISH LIGHT OF LOVE!

And I've just gotta talk about this shirt.

Because Tongrak isn't just wearing a blue patterned shirt.

He's wearing the same blue patterned shirt Mahasamut was wearing when he left Tongrak's house and symbolically took the love that he'd confessed and that had been rejected with him.

There's no longer sad memories attached to that shirt! Only happy memories of Rak and Mut planning their future together and being so excited about it that neither of them can sleep!

And it's not only them who are bundled safely in the patterned blue of love!

Blue = 💙Love💙 and they've been telling us that since the finale aired!

I can certainly try answering that for you. I think your future husband will be someone who is very intelligent, but a bit of a daydreamer and perhaps someone who worries a lot or is often trapped in his own thoughts (8 of Swords, the Star). He may have Taurus/Scorpio influence, like those could be some of his placements or he embodies a lot of the qualities of those signs (Tower, Hierophant). So, for example, he may value stability but at the same time be very adaptable to change, or go through lots of transformations in his personal life. He may be a bit melancholy and again I'm feeling very intelligent, like he doesn't realize a lot of his own skills or good traits (4 of Cups, 9 of Cups). Finally, he may be someone who comes from a wealthy family with the 10 of Pentacles.

so obviously older ian and mickey have their talk about not telling their younger selves too much for butterfly effect purposes. and they both think it's gonna be pretty easy until they look just a little too hard and think just a little too long because... holy fuck, these kids. they have no fucking idea. they've got so much trauma and hurt and irreparable damage coming and they don't even know it.

ian sits and watches his younger self ramble about ROTC shit and his heart is fucking breaking. is that even possible? can your heart break for your own self? he wants to tell him. he wants to warn him. because it's about to get so much fucking worse before it gets better but he can't. he can't. because as fucked as it is, all those experiences are what made him who he is now. little ian's gotta get through it. he's gotta get out of it all alive. so ian just sits and nods and tries very hard to smile when his younger self keeps asking about the army because if he smiles, he doesn't have to focus on the whir of chopper blades or the thunk of club music or the smell of his hand palm-down against a hot griddle or-

"i wanna tell him." it's night time. they're home and safe and brushing their teeth but ian's about five years away.

mickey doesn't sound surprised next to him. in fact it sounds like he's years away too. back on the southside. back in that ratty green scarf, already scarred in every way but nowhere near the worst it's gonna get. but... "bout what." specifically. because there's a horrifying amount to pick from.

they don't tell them. their younger selves. they want to so fucking bad - even just a vague little warning - anything to blunt the pain for when it finally does happen, but...

the mickeys are out on the balcony smoking and it's dead silent. heavy. anticipatory.

"just ask," older mickey says. because he knows he wants to. he knows his own thinking face. "whatever you're chewin' on over there, just fuckin' ask it."

his younger self doesn't look at him, but his shoulders slump a little, his eyes taking in everything around them like he still can't believe what he's seeing. and when he asks it, it's quiet. restless in this uncomfortable, existential way. "...when's it start to get better...?"

mickey watches it all happen and wonders if it's possible for your heart to break for your own self and how the fuck is he supposed to tell him that the worst is yet to come? that he ain't seen nothin' yet?

from inside, a burst of laughter pulls his attention, the ians going on about something on the couch. and jesus...if mickey had seen this when shit was spiraling out of control... if he knew, through all the pain, that this is what was waiting for him on the other side... something to hold onto. something like his younger self is seeing now...

"it's gonna suck," he says, "for a while. just..." the ian's laughter bubbles up again, this time pulling both the mickeys' attention. "just think about this." he motions inside. the future. what will be pulled out from all the trauma. "when shit's bad. eventually you get this."

it's gonna be okay.

that night mickey crawls into bed with his husband and it feels like he's the one who's been pulled through time and space. but ian's arms are snug around him. secure. his younger self's got a long way to go before he lets himself feel this good, but when he does it's gonna blow his mind.

The sun was slowly beginning to set on the woodlands just south of Rouen. You and Raymond had been travelling now for most of the day, having packed some essentials, such as food and thick clothing for the cold nights. But all of this was because of you; now that you were pregnant with Raymond's child, the Baron, his father, had demanded the two of you separate. A sizeable amount of money had been offered to you so you could leave Rouen, alone, and raise the child as a single parent, but forever be tarnished as a whore.

Raymond, your dearest, had remained true to his heart. And he vowed that day to always protect you. And once you had finally found a place to call your own, you were to be married.

You both stopped.

Raymond lay down the rabbit he had shot with his bow and arrow, and began to slowly skin it. You grabbed pieces of firewood, but kept your promise to not disappear from Raymond's sight.

Nausea washed over you for a couple of seconds as you bent down to pick up each piece of wood, a reminder of the strong child growing in your womb. It made you think on what they may look like; a boy with his father's eyes, steel blue. Or perhaps a girl with Raymond's resolve and temper, a woman intent on having her own way. The child always resembled Raymond in some way, as you disregarded the fact that you were part of the child also.

A while later and you both ate. The meat didn't taste as bad as you had first thought. In such a time, it was a necessity. You were on the road, on foot, with limited possessions so beggars could not be choosers.

Raymond remained silent; he was a man of few words, only speaking when he had something of importance to be known. But as he came to the end of his food, discarding the bones, his left hand ghosted your thigh. His thumb brushed your skin in a tender motion for a few seconds, until you spoke.

"You gave up everything for me," you whispered. Then you spat out a piece of hard gristle.

"Yes, and why does it bother you?" Raymond asked. His question was a simple one that really, in his mind, shouldn't have had an answer. He was happy to start a new life with you, to protect you and the baby.

You didn't quite know how to answer such a question. Expecting someone to give up their life for you and a future with you was something that had never crossed your mind. And the guilt still ran deep within you.

"I am to be a father and a husband; my future is with you both, not in Rouen where I am made to feel that it is a crime." Raymond's eyes were ablaze now with anger towards his father. He remembered the words that had been spoken against you. Harlot. Filth. Temptress. Those words were the furthest from Raymond's personal dictionary of words to describe you.

Raymond put more wood on the fire and pulled two blankets from his saddlebag. One of them he curled around your shoulders.

Noises behind you began to emerge on the air. Whistles. Cries. They made your heart beat faster, the uncertainty becoming a weight on your chest. What if a wolf attacked you both in your sleep?

Raymond noticed your face blanch and the way you would jump at the animal noises coming from the woodland. "I am here, my love. Nothing will harm you." Not even those words would calm you. Of course your lover was a fighter, able to take on the fiercest of creatures with his sword. But he was also infallible to exhaustion. Thus, an animal could come and attack in the dead of night if both of you were asleep.

Then a loud screech made you jump. "Please, Raymond. I can't stay here," you begged.

"We are deep in the woods; we must rest and then move at first light. It would be more dangerous to move now. Come..." He held out his arm, beckoning you to sit beside him.

You scampered over to him on your hands and knees, and shoved your face into his chest. "I don't think I've ever been this terrified," you said, your teeth chattering in fright and cold.

"You need to have faith in me," Raymond said, holding you tight. "I will always do everything in my power to make sure you are safe. Trust me, please."

aww! all of those are really sweet! 😄💙 I've never heard anyone ship harmony and melody but they would be adorable together!! I can see melody trying to teach harmony how to play the trumpet and being proud of him when he makes progress 🥺🎺 personally, aside from clumsy and brainy I kinda just find all different ships cute and there's also a lot of smurfs that I like together just as friends 😄💙

that being said here are some of my favourites:

greedy & lazy: I just think they're sweet!💤🥧 they have some cute moments in the cartoon and are seen together somewhat often

song: sophia by clario (no reason really other than that it's a really soft and pretty lighthearted song so I think it fits them :)

jokey & grouchy: I'm not sure if I ship it or not but I love to see them together and I think they're a really funny pair! 😂🎁

smurfette & smurflily: as you said I very rarely see anyone ship them but I feel like they would be really cute, I loved the scenes where they were looking in eachothers eyes and when smurflily was trying to teach smurfette archery in the lost village 🍃🦋🏹 (I also like smurfette and smurfblossom together :) 🌺

and ofcourse, brainy & clumsy: there's so much to say! the smufiest of friends, the darkness monster, them almost always being together, I don't know what to say 'cause there's too much to say! 😂📚🪨 I love them because they're so funny as well, anytime they're on screen together it's pretty much guaranteed that I'm going to laugh! :)
