Honestly I feel like more people need to know about Chicken Little.

And I don't mean the 2005 film I mean the actual fucking fairytale/fable

It's pretty cool and underrated.

The story's that a leaf falls on Chicken Little's tail and he becomes convinced the sky's falling. He convinces a bunch of animals to go with him to tell the King and they get tricked by Foxy Loxy and eaten (though in some versions Chicken Little escapes).

It's moral to think critically for yourself and not just blindly follow what others say is one that needs to be told more, especially in today's age.

Penelope (Barbie as Rapunzel)

• For the people who’ve never watched Barbie as Rapunzel, it takes a LOT of liberties with the fairytale. Basically forget everything you know about the story, the movie is its own thing. Ok now that we’re all on the same page: Penelope is Rapunzel’s friend, and she’s a dragon. She’s actually the daughter of the dragon guarding Rapunzel’s tower, Hugo, who works for Gothel. She’s very sweet, which is a problem for her father, who wants her to be a “real” dragon, eg fearless and terrifying. At the start of the story, she can’t fly and can barely breathe fire. Her arc involves learning these skills without giving up her idiosyncrasies. Her father eventually acknowledges she’s always been brave in her own way, and their joint arc culminates in him calling her “a mighty dragon.” Hugo is a great morally gray character, but this isn’t about him, this is about Penelope. She’s funny! She’s silly! She’s clever! She’s such a supportive friend to Rapunzel. I know I already called her funny but I’ll say it again: she’s funny!! She’s a badass! She’s one of the highlights of the movie IMO. The scene towards the end in which [SPOILERS] Rapunzel flies on Penelope’s back out of the tower and over the wall is so emotional to me. She’s overall one of my favorite Barbie sidekicks. #PENELOPESWEEP.

• She’s a dragon it doesn’t get cooler than that. She’s funny and cute and silly and a fearsome dragon as I mentioned. She has an interesting dynamic w her father in my opinion and a very heartwarming storyline. One of the best and best-written animal sidekicks in the BCU if not THE best one.

Some henny penny got online and made a whole list of the SCANDALOUS AWFUL things that were discussed on Stern, and out of context, yeah, it sounded pretty yikes, and YET, if and when you listened, it literally wasn't. I'm getting major henny penny vibes off odeonanon because I'm 1000% convinced he *will* say a lot of what they're catastrophizing, because newsflash, he already has said all of it, in some fashion, multiple times, people might want to stop reading edited/cropped shit, lol, if they want to actually see and hear what their fave's talking about

I don't watch Henny Penny that often but it's just because other episodes are my comfort episodes, I had no idea people didn't actually like it?! When the creeptastic Mr Terrific is right there too.... HennyPenny is cute! At worst it's a weird season finale but all the Golden Girls finales are weird like that for some reason (like none of them feel like season closers just random episodes, but it's nice too, there's never anything too major going on).

I know, anon, right?? It’s such a good episode!! I saw somebody on Instagram quote it as one of the worst in the series and I was *shocked*!! Mr Terrific is definitely more worthy of the title, by virtue of its male lead alone 😅 Although I have to say — the only episode I find bad is Empty Nests. That one is just unsalvageable. There’s others I’m not fond of, for one reason or another, but that’s the only one that I really couldn’t stomach rewatching.

Henny Penny is a bit strange as a season finale, even by Golden Girls standards! With the notable exception of the S7 finale, season finales tend to have a simple underlying plot and lots of flashbacks (either newly acted or cut from previous episodes), which is a fun way to end a season of a sitcom, I think. If you disregard Empty Nests, then Henny Penny is the only other exception to this rule, and that makes it just a pinch more special to me :)
