CARL GRIMES
maggie, bob, and sasha picked you up on the road after the fall of the prison
you'd been surviving off the land all alone, any family and friends you had died long ago
kind of like an enid moment but you didn't eat a fuckin turtle
everyone reunites, and you're introduced to the others like how tara was after the (first) battle with the cannibal kidnappers
of course, being close in age really secured your friendship
you liked the same things, talked similarly, and even in the new world, shared similar goals and prioritized others over yourselves
your friendship lasted a long, long time
from confiding in each other to fighting together
doing everything together
whether the relationship is romantic or platonic, affection is always shared
both of you don't receive hugs, hand holding, skin to skin contact basically, all too much so yk
when you can, you guys just try and chill out together and whatnot
cuties
ENID RHEE
you were on the road with rosita, (your aunt) eugene, and abraham
when coming into alexandria, ron was showing you and carl around and introduced you two to enid and mikey
instantly made a connection with the girl
she was quiet but you understood her
you respected her silence and built a friendship upon it
she started coming out of her shell soon enough and you started to understand her more
fav hobbies would be staring out at nature and appreciating it together and reading comics
RON ANDERSON
you came in with Rick's group
at first you didn't like him because he and the rest of the community were so sheltered and oblivious
even though he started getting a little iffy w carl, you started to grow on him & stopped the little shit between them
it was mostly enid not deciding whether or not her and Ron were a thing and whatnot
but finally 🙏🙏🙏
even if the relationship is /p or /r, you guys are tight as fuck
you and Carl kinda drift away from each other cause new friends and whatever
plus everything w s6 drama and whatnot, talking to each other and shit was kinda rare
you and Ron mostly read comics together and walk around the neighborhood and talk
sometimes play video games
but it's so weird to you at this point where you start tweaking after a while
like, remembering you can play video games in the apocalypse fucks w you after a while
but besties frfr
HENRY PELETIER
you were with the saviours
but after their downfall and after Rick's disappearance, you become friends with him
he trusted you because you were close in age and he could tell you obviously never had a choice to go with them
but close to like beginning of after time skip in s9, you guys get close
lots of talking over walkie talkies and going on walks together
he tries to show you some moves with the staff
you teach him how to properly use knives and machetes
Daryl doesn't trust you for some reason but who doesnt he not trust???
anytime people bring up your ex-saviour reputation, he's there to defend you

Let me know if you see any mistakes, please!
Tumblr media
You were Alphas daughter, not long ago you were in her pack. You wanted to help, truly, you wished nothing more than to do so but of course, Daryl Dixon simply wouldn't allow it.
You remembered being shoved into a room, and a small one at that. He locked the door and told you to keep quiet, you wondered if he had told Connie and Henry before he did so, or it was just an irrational option. You remembered banging on the door as soon as he closed it, pleading with him to let you out. Ever since you were a child, you hated tight spaces, and now, you were locked in one alone with only a flashlight for he had shoved you in too soon, not even allowing you to pick up the stick in which Henry had sharpened for you.
You stopped banging on the door when you heard them. The groans were low, seemingly far away, You guessed they were at the bottom of the building. You knew not to attract any sound to where you were, it would only end in death so all you could so was stand worriedly, your teeth chomping on your already bitten nail as you worried for the three others and what your old pack would do to them, especially a certain blonde who became what you assumed a boyfriend was.
You couldn't remember how long you stood there for, and while trying to think of how long it may have been, your heart dropped. The sound, a whisperer. You knew the steps were much too heavy to be a walker and no groans were yet coming out of the being, they were in the very same room as you. You held your breath, you tried shuffling to the back of the room though you didn't wish to make noise.
The heavy steps got louder, you shoved a hand to your mouth to silence yourself. Your eyes glanced around the room, no weapon, no anything but a switched off flashlight, the last thing you needed was to be found out by an accidental flash of a light. Then your eyes flickered down, you could see the steps coming closer to the bottom of the door, the light slowly being consumed as the whisperer stepped closer and closer to the wood. And then came the small wrap of their fingers, tapping on the old wood, you swore the tears in your eyes would not leak, you were finding it hard to keep up with it. "Oh, Y/n?" The whisper so low, but you knew it didn't belong to your friend. It belonged to one of them. They knew you were here. You tried to stop the sob at the back of your throat. You were scared. Oh so desperately scared. "Can you open the door, y/n?" You remained silent. This didn't go well for you, unfortunately. "I said open the door!"
You couldn't remember if you screamed or not, as the door came to slam down on the ground, next to your feet. They had pushed it down. What you did remember was leaving out a slight whimper as they stepped into the room. You were already done for.
They didn't hesitate to raise their knife. You pushed the hand away but they stormed closer, placing a hand on your chest as they shoved you back. You felt a pang in your back as it was shoved against the desk behind you, whimpering once more as their knife came in contact with your neck, though not enough to draw blood. "Please..." You begged, tears in your eyes that you pushed down. "Please don't do this." You could see the familliar look in their eyes. It was nothing. Cold, empty, they had no emotion.
And so you took your chance, swinging. You had found a crowbar sitting behind you, you wondered how you hadn't seen it before. It came in contact with their head, their mask, just enough for them to stumble backwards. You ran. Your feet lifted before your thoughts could think, before you could even regain your composure your boots were slapping against the ground. And then they did the exact same thing you had before, they swung.
It was your turn to stumble as a slash came to your calf, you felt the blood begin to ooze out, coating your jeans. The whisperer took the opportunity to launch forward, taking you to the ground. You fell to your back, the whisperer on top of you, pinning your arms down, you had lost.
You felt a cold sticky and mrtalic blade on your neck, gently graseing it, you're own blood coating it. "Alpha told us to take you alive." The person on top of you whispered, head lowered to your ear. Another shaky whimper left you, you knew you fucked up, you were done for, this was he end. "But I think you'd make a great mask." It was when the blood slowly began to leak that you realised their knife was already cutting through your skin.
Suddenly, something was plunged right into their head, lifeless corpse instantly falling onto your body. You let out a soft and small cry as their blade slipped from their unmoving hand, scratching you across the shoulder. Your eyes instantly flickered up and there he stood, a sweaty Henry with his long stick in his hand as he pulled it from the whisperers head. You instantly shook the body off of you as you sat up.
Henry was already bent down beside you when your back emerged from the ground. You suddenly didn't care for the scratch on your neck or the not so serious wound on your shoulder, you threw your body forward. You didn't know why you were crying really, it was a zombie apocalypse for heaven's sake, you had experienced much worse things than this though this time, you really did think that it was the end. Maybe you were still crying of fear, that it hadn't left your body yet or maybe it was relief that the blonde boy in front of you had saved your life, that he was here and safe right next to you.
"Hey, hey it's okay." Just the sound of his voice wracked a whimper from your weak body. Your arms thrown around his neck while one of his hands was holding the back of your head which you had skinned off the ground in front of you, little blood leaving it while his other hand was holding your torso close to his. "You're okay, you're safe."
His words registered in your mind as you pulled him closer. Henry was always protective of you, whether you had known so or not, he always came back for you, he saved you in more ways than one. "Henry-" you simply couldn't get the words out but he knew by the way you squeezed his body further.
"I know, I know." The boy whispered back, his hand slightly moving to stroke your hair. He was still bent down by the ground, your body practically leaning completely on him, but he didn't mind. "It's over now, alright? We're safe, you're safe."
You sniffled as you backed away slightly, your body was still weak and feeble but your mind was screaming at you to keep it together. "Are you okay?" Your voice still shaky, the under of your eyes had gone red as the tears had visibly made their way down your cheeks. "Did you get hurt?" Your eyes scanning all over his face, glancing down to his arms in worry that someone had gotten to him before he had gotten to you although he didn't appear to be in much pain.
"No, no I'm fine." He assured you. Suddenly he stopped your eyes from roaming. His hands fell on either side of your head, not bothering to move your hair as his chocolate eyes found home in your own. See the thing about Henry was that his mother was a survivor of abuse so he did whatever it took to protect people, he did whatever it took to protect you. "I'm okay, I promise." His words settled in your head, squeezing it's way through your mind to make you understand that no, he wasn't in any physical type of pain, nothing to worry about, not yet at least. You nodded your head, hands on his wrists, gently holding him your touch was always so soft, it was something that Henry had grown to love about you. He pulled you in once more, his embrace warm, so unlike anything you had ever experienced your entire life. Your head was in the crook of his neck, your nose against his shoulder as you thanked whatever god there was for saving not only you but him, the sweet boy that always protected you, no matter the cost. "Come on, let's get you home."
You never did understand what Henry meant by getting you home for as far as you were concerned you already were home. Sure the abandoned building your in meant less than nothing to you but that didn't mean that your home was necessarily four walls and a roof, you had spent too long trying to understand that but now you did. You spent most your life without a home, actually, but now, as you held onto the blonde boy who had risked his life for you many times too many you knew you were finally, finally home.
For home was whenever you were with him. Henry peletier. Your protector.
A/n: Hey guys, hope you enjoyed! If you want to request any and I mean ANY imagine you can, about anyone and anything, I'll do any fandom you'd like, lmk if there's anything wrong with this and I'll redo it. Bye lovelies!

Ight so you mentioned about getting high with Enid, and it got me thinking...
Imagine Sophia didn't die. Lydia and Henry are there. And ofc, Carl.
Cept' they're all the same age right. And it's just all TWD teens getting to experience (sorta) typical teenage shit, ykwim?
Just playing silly games together, getting high, getting drunk, teasing Enid and reader, telling eachother some of their secrets, telling ghost stories, etc.
I hope this makes sense lol :)
i’m so in love with this request. Sophia held such a place in my heart :’)) i hope you enjoy! i’m definitely gonna try and do this request justice bc i have a vision in my head that i really wanna adapt into this story. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
warnings: weed & alcohol. one sexual joke. (please smoke and drink responsibly !!!)
A/N: hope you all enjoy! and as always, requests are open! just read pinned to see all rules if you want to request 🫶🏻🫶🏻
“alright!” you shouted, the biggest smile on your face. you held up a case of beer, “guess who managed to sneak into Daryl’s stash?”
everyone cheered, making you laugh. Lydia ran up to you, “how did you manage to do that?!” she asked, looking at you with disbelief. “i have my ways,” you smirked.
you brought the case over to your small circle of friends. Carl, Enid, Sophia, Lydia and Henry. they were all here with you.
you sat next to Enid, pressing a kiss to her cheek as you handed her a bottle. “you practically risked your life for us,” she joked lightly. you shrugged, “i’ll find a new one for him.”
Lydia sat back down next to Henry. you watched with a soft smile as he wrapped his arms over her, kissing her head.
it was rare to have a night like this. so rare in fact that this is the first night you guys were able to finally all be together, acting like nothing bad was just right outside the gates of your home.
Enid tapped your shoulder, when you turned around she held out a handful of joints. your smile grew wider. “you’re the best girlfriend ever, do you know that?”
“i do.” she smiled cheekily. you pushed her shoulder. “guys! Enid brought some joints as well, we all get one each.” you announced. everyone gasped and reached to grab their own.
“this is seriously like, the best night ever.” Carl said, taking a sip of the beer. “i mean, we’ve never gotten to hang out like this together. if you think about it, it’s really the first time we’ve been able to act like… what we actually are. just teens.”
that’s all you guys were. teens who were forced into this broken world at such an early age. none of you got to grow up the way you were supposed to.
everyone was silent for a moment, taking in Carl’s words. “then let’s make the best of tonight.” Henry smiled, holding up his bottle of beer. you all agreed, clinking your bottles together. it felt like a cliche, but that’s what made it even better.
after everyone’s third beer, Carl sighed. “god, i remember the day this shit started.” he sighed. “my… mom rushing to pack my clothes, all of our pictures. before i really knew it, we have a camp by the quarry.”
“that’s where the three of us met.” Sophia said, pointing between you, her and Carl. “you guys met that long ago?” Lydia asked.
you all nodded, “yeah uh, Sophia was with her mom, Carl had his, i uh… lost mine already at that point, but Glenn found me in the woods. brought me back with him to their camp.”
“wow. so you guys have been through like… everything together.” Lydia said. “pretty much. yeah.” Carl chuckled.
at this point, everyone had started to feel the effects of the beer kick in. “okay, let’s play a game.” Enid said, clapping her hands. “if we want to get a true teen experience, we need to play something. like Never Have I Ever.” she said.
“that sounds fun.” you told her, “yeah! lets do it.”
“okay, rules, if you’ve done what someone asks you have to drink. for example, if i asked everyone if you ever fell into a pile of dead walkers and proceeded to stay there for five minutes because you were… comfortable… Y/N would take a drink.”
you stared at her, biting the inside of your cheek to hold back your laugh as everyone roared in laughter around you. “now why would you say that.”
“because you quite literally did that.” she responded. you pushed her shoulder again and took a sip of the beer. “okay, i have one.” you spoke up.
“uh oh.” Carl mumbled.
“never have i ever had a sex dream in front of half our group and proceeded to moan my name for three minutes straight.” Enid’s eyes widened as her face flushed red. “you did what?!” Sophia laughed.
“you are evil.” Enid told you. you smirked and shrugged, “take a sip, sweetheart.”
“okay, okay.” Carl said. you lit your joint, gesturing the lighter towards Enid to silently ask if she wanted hers lit too. she nodded and held out her joint for you to light it.
Carl’s mouth formed into a smirk, “never have i ever been late to a community meeting because i was too busy having sex with my girlfriend at eight in the morning.”
it was silent between the six of you, and then you and Enid slowly took a sip of your beers. “there’s no way.” Lydia said, staring at both of you with shock.
“i’m not appreciating the fact that we’re being targeted.” you said. “you guys started it.” Carl said. “okay, we need to think of something else before they expose everything about us.” Enid laughed, taking a hit from her joint.
“oh, i know what we could do.” Sophia said almost mischievously. “classic sleepover activity. ghost stories.” she proposed.
“oh yes. lets do it!” Lydia said. “i have one. i have literally never stopped thinking about it since it happened. you were there, Henry.” she started.
“remember the abandoned asylum we found?” she asked him. he thought for a moment before his mouth dropped open slightly. “oh yeah! that was so scary.”
everyone had started to light their joints as well, getting prepared for the stories. “it was a few months ago. me and Henry snuck out of Hilltop to just walk around. like how you and Enid do. we ended up at this really scary looking building that turned out to be an asylum.”
“where was it?” you questioned before she continued the story. “i think it was by the Target we used to go to for runs.” she answered.
“but anyways- we walked inside and this place instantly had a vibe to it that clearly was not welcoming. but we went further in anyways. there was this one room that we walked into, and Henry decided he wanted to try and summon something,”
Lydia gave Henry a look as she said that, and he put his hands up in defense, making you all laugh. “tell them what you did.” she told him.
“i uh,” he laughed. “i started to throw insults in the air. like ‘dumbass ghost’ and shit like that. and to be fair, i was pissing it off a lot. but um, after around five minutes i said something along the lines of ‘you’re too scared to face us” or some shit, and precisely two seconds after that, there was a vase that was behind us, it fell over and shattered completely.”
“famous last words.” you joked. “you forgot the other part.” Lydia told him. “the other..? OH!” Henry pulled his sleeve up, showcasing two scratch marks. “that also happened.”
all of your eyes widened, “what?!” Sophia yelled. “it scratched you?!” he nodded, laughing. “yeah, we got the hell out of there after that obviously. but yeah. do not go into that asylum. i can already see Y/N and Enid planning it.”
“oh fuck no. we are not going there.” Enid said, despite your whine. “but it sounds cool!” Enid shook her head, “you’re actually insane.”
everyone started talking amongst themselves, but you couldn’t help but take in all of your surroundings. your best friends sitting in yours and Enid’s house. the one that you owned together, which was something you never thought would ever be possible again.
you’d never thought you’d make it this far, and if you did, you figured you’d be miserable. but you’re not. everything was coming into place so perfectly. having a girlfriend you knew you couldn’t wait to marry, still having Carl and Sophia by your side throughout all of those years in the apocalypse, taking in Henry and saving Lydia. you finally had what you lost so many years ago.
there was no better feeling than the one you felt right now. maybe it was because you were drunk or high, but you wished this sense of euphoria would stay forever. you hoped you could all still be together like this years from now.
“hey,” Enid said softly, nudging your shoulder. “you’re out of it. what’s wrong?” she asked.
you smiled and shook your head. “nothings wrong. i’m just… really happy.” you admitted. “and god i love you. so fucking much.”
Enid giggled, leaning in to kiss your lips. “i love you too, pretty. so, so much.” you hummed against her lips, “wish we can stay like this with everyone forever.”
“then let’s do it.” she said. “it will always be us. forever.”
“forever.” you repeated. “yeah. that sounds good.” you smiled, leaning in to kiss her once more, ignoring everyone’s fake gags and groans.

How did you know?
Tumblr media
✿ characters: carl grimes x peletier!reader (6 years after his death)
✿ A/N: haven’t been there in a while !
✿summary: you’re carol’s daughter, sophia’s twin sister, you grew up with carl and got together before he died. now your adoptive little brother doesn’t know what his feelings are towards the whisperer girl and you usually give good advice soooooo
✿warnings: mention of death
english is not my first language, i make mistakes <3
————————————————————————————
✿ ✿ ✿
You were both at the Hilltop, this is where you lived. You had just hit 21 and had already been through 6 years without Carl.
Your mom and your step father that was just like the father you never had brought you guys here for a while, especially Henry, you were kinda just there to look after him.
“Hey (Y/N), you got a second?” “Hi, yeah what’s going on?” your adoptive brother walks to you all nervous.
You knew about the whisperer girl that Daryl interrogated, you didn’t know the whole story about her but you knew Henry got close to her and to be honest, you felt like this was none of your business, still worried about your little brother.
Then her mother went to get her back and she left, you knew it hurt Henry but you couldn’t really do anything about it.
You step out of the nursery you were reorganizing and you guys sit down together,
“Are you okay? You look pale Hen” you said worried he’d be sick. You kinda developed a phobia of sick people, seeing Carl after the bite kinda stayed in your mind.
“I’m alright don’t worry. I just- you know the girl that just left, i really think we, i don’t know.” he tried to find the words desperately.
“Did you fall for her?” you said smiling. “I don’t know that’s why I’m here. Do you think she’s worth it?”
“Worth what? Risking your life for her? I don’t think a lot of people are worth your life Henry.” he was exactly the age Carl was when he died. You’re very overprotective of your little brother.
“If i love her then she is, yeah?” he stared into your eyes agitating his hands. “Do you love her?” you suddenly lost your smile.
“How did you know you were in love?” that one hit you right in the face. Your brother knew about the boy you loved, he also knew you never found love again afterwards, at least you didn’t allow yourself to.
But you didn’t talk about it much, you immediately shut yourself up when someone tried to talk about it. I think the only one you allowed to ask about Carl was Henry, cause he reminded you of him sometimes, he had a kind heart like Carl did.
When he asked you this, you gulped and you thought about it, you slowly fell in love with Carl while you were growing up together, the real day you realized was the day you arrived to Alexandria.
You had big trust issues because of the terminus and all the crazy shit that happened to you in the past years.
You and everyone else were sleeping in the living room of one of the houses Deana gave y’all. You were laying in a sleeping bag on the floor right next to Carl.
Everyone was settling their “bed” in the room and you guys were already laying next to each other, “Do you think you’ll manage to sleep tonight?” he asked you nervously playing with the bag’s zipper.
“I think so, i feel safe with everyone here and i know my mom or Daryl are certainly not gonna sleep so we’re alright i guess.” he nodded but didn’t seem convinced.
You wanted him to relax and finally get to sleep under a roof, sort of safe. Your instinct told you to put your hand on his and you immediately did, he stopped fidgeting the zipper and looked at you.
“You finally get a real night sleep, at least tonight, it’s been so long. Look at this house, we talked about this remember? How we missed our old houses? This one kinda looks like mine, maybe it’s not safe here but at least this one night, people are doing the job for us.“ you looked at the adults of the room saying this, Carl followed your look.
He seemed more relaxed at that moment, when you guys stared at each other and when he started soothing your hand with his thumb, it was just the two of you and you finally put words on your feelings, you were very much in love.
✿ ✿
“I don’t think i could’ve done this without you, (Y/N), i couldn’t have been the only kid. Without anyone to talk to, someone who understands.” he looked so tired.
“I’m glad i’ve got you too.” you smile turning to look at him while he was facing the ceiling. You looked at him closely, he was like, the most beautiful boy you had ever seen.
You kept looking at him for a while, everyone treated you like adults and you had to behave like ones but when it was just the two of you you could finally be your age.
You could laugh and talk like actual 14 then 15 year olds.
✿ ✿
When everyone headed to sleep, at least for some of you, Carl decided to get his sleeping bag closer to yours when the lights were down so he could hold you in his arms the whole night.
At first you thought he did this to reassure you but rethinking about this, Carl did this to reassure himself. To know someone was there.
When you fell asleep that night, you knew you were going to love him for the rest of your life. And you’re convinced he realized he was in love with you right at the same moment.
✿ ✿
When you get back to Henry after this split second of reflection, he’s desperately waiting for an answer.
“Well, when i realized i felt safe around him, i could lay my head on his shoulder to fall asleep as if i was in the safest home in the world. That he was the one who understood me and that i understood too. When i realized i could calm him down with my words because he truly cared about what i had to say. Because he cared and i cared. Because he looked after me and i looked after him.”
Henry was paying so much attention to your words.
“He wrote me on his death letter, you quote him, “I knew that wherever i would go, i would find my way back to your arms, back to the house we built for each other. I know that someday, i’ll walk in our little house again and i’ll find you waiting in a sleeping bag.” if she feels like a safe home to you. You’re in love.” your eyes were watering of course.
“I don’t know if she loves me as much as you love Carl but, i think i love her. And if i’m right, i’m losing her right now.” he had glowing eyes, you had a feeling he was in love with her.
You pulled him into a comforting hug; “Please, Henry, do what you gotta do but i beg you to stay safe and think before you do something sweetheart.”
You held him so tight into your arms “Promise me, Hen.” you told him a tear rolling down your cheek. “Promise me.” you said again.
“I promise you, (Y/N)” you let go of your strong hold and kiss his forehead, hands holding his face.
“I love you, and i have a feeling you’ll really see him again one day.” he smiles down at you.
“I love you too, i love you so much.” you let go of his face and watch him walking away, not knowing what he would do.
✿ ✿

Truth or Dare - “Prince”Henry Peletier
Summary: The teens at hilltop decide to play a game of truth or dare.
Word Count: 384
Warnings: none
Requested: yes
A/N: so im finally getting over a year long writers block and trying to finish up old requests. enjoy to anyone who stuck around and still reads henry fics. also its been over a year but rip to my boy henry he aint deserve that.
Tumblr media
Henry had only been staying at Hilltop for a few days and you found you already had a small crush on the boy. Your best friend, Addy, quickly caught on and decided to invite him to hang out with your group of friends and he happily accepted the invitation. Little did you know that Henry also had a crush on you and he would have used any excuse to hang out with you.
Once everyone arrived at the hangout, Henry being the last to get there, it was settled that you would all play a game of truth or dare to kick off the night. You all sat down in a circle, spinning an old beer bottle to see who’s turn it was first. As players dished out dare and spilled truths that would have been better left unsaid, you couldn’t help but be nervous for when your turn came.
Fortunately, you didn’t have to wait long because it was just your luck that when Addy spun the bottle next it pointed straight at you. ‘Shit’ you thought, trying to think of what would be the best option. You knew Addy would somehow trick you into exposing your crush on Henry so you wanted to play this carefully. “Dare,” You said after a moment of silence.
Addy smirked deviously at you and you inwardly groaned when she said, “Y/N, I dare you to kiss Henry.”
“Seriously?” You cried in disbelief.
“Rules are rules. You gotta do it.”
You knew you would have to do it eventually if not now on a later turn so you nodded and crawled across the circle to where Henry sat.
“Hi,” You smiled, your cheeks heating up. “Can I kiss you?”
Henry nodded, leaning his head up to capture your lips in his. Your lips moved softly against his and you could hear whistling and hollering coming from your friends. You pulled away for air, pecking him on his lips once more before whispering in his ear, “I know I chose dare but the truth is I like you.”
“I like you, too,” Henry said, pulling you in for another kiss. “Truth or dare?” He asked.
“Truth.”
“Is it true that you’d be my girlfriend if i asked you to?” He questioned.
“Yes, it does.” You responded smiling.

Henry Peletier x Reader
Words: 1319
Warnings: some swearing but no f-bombs.
•••
Days at Hilltop we're beginning to feel long. Long and boring and repetitive. I would wake up, help Enid in her office, work in the fields, eat, and go to my trailer and read. Every day. The same damn things... over and over again. But anything in the comfort of these walls was far better then what happened out there.
But as it were, I had no friends either. The other teenagers or kids at Hilltop didn't talk to me much. Not that I tried to talk with them either. I didn't really have an interest in hanging out with them and getting drunk in the woods, so that was that. There were better and more important things to do. Especially when there was a zombie apocalypse going on.
Life went on like that for years and years, until Henry came along. When he first came to Hilltop with Carol I could feel in my bones that we were gonna become friends. I just knew it. And we did. The moment I walked over to his wagon and greeted him... I knew.
...
"You don't have to hit me that hard y/n!" Henry shouted, after I had hit him particularly swift in the shin with my stick.
"Why don't you block it then?" I shouted, while trying to stifle back laughter.
Henry just shook his head with a smile, but then he looked up with a slightly more serious look in his eyes. "Okay look, I don't wanna hurt you."
I rolled my eyes, but my cheeks felt a little warm. "When I asked you to train me, that didn't mean go super easy on me because I can't defend myself at all. I meant go hard on me... I want to learn." I crossed my arms, hoping that he would understand I was a little pissed now.
He nodded with a small smile. "Okay, okay. Sure. Let's go again then."
I uncrossed my arms. "Is your leg okay?" I finally asked. I had forgotten before and I kinda felt like a dick.
He laughed. "It's fine. It's gonna bruise, but it's fine."
I just nodded and grabbed my stick. Bringing it into the right position. Henry did the same. We locked eyes for second before he swung first. I dodged it and went to hit him while he was off balance, but he blocked the hit with his own stick.
He was stronger then me naturally, so it was easier for him to bring my stick down. He had knocked my stick out of my hands, but it was just a step away from me.
"Give up?" He asked with a stupid smirk on his face. He was holding his stick up by my neck.
I nodded. But instead of giving up, I kicked my foot under my stick and brought it up, quick enough that Henry couldn't defend himself, and I walked him on the head. A little harder then I had intended to.
He stumbled back, holding his head. "Shit y/n."
I ran towards him and I caught his hands before he could fall over. "Henry I'm so so sorry."
I guided him to a bench and sat him down. He was just clutching onto his head and groaning a little. I felt like a complete ass.
"Just wait here. I'll go grab Enid." I turned around to leave, but Henry was holding onto my wrist.
"No... I mean... can you just do it? I just need a few bandages probably."
I nodded and gave a small smile. "Yeah. I'll be right back with some supplies." He let go of my wrist and I went to the infirmary to grab some cloth and alcohols for his cut, along with some butterfly bandages.
I was leaving the room before Enid stopped me on the way out. A very confused look upon her face.
"What are you doing?" She asked in a calm tone.
"I was training with Henry and I hit him hard in the head. I think he might be concussed." My voice was shaky.
Her eyes widened and I could see her doing some medical calculations in her head. "Then we need to get him up here right now."
I shook my head. "He wouldn't get up. He said he wanted me to do it."
Enid just nodded. "Oh... well you better get down there then." She pushed me out the door. "Good luck!"
When I made my way back down I saw Henry give a thumbs and a big smile up to the sky from afar. I was confused, but I still rushed over there to help him.
When I got there, he immediately grabbed his head again and groaned. "This shit hurts y/n."
I took a look at his head and dabbed some alcohol on the cloth. "I know... I'm sorry. This is going to hurt a lot more though."
When I was bringing up the cloth to clean the wound, Henry brought his hands up to stop me.
"Wait wait wait. I don't need alcohol on it. It's not that deep, really." He kept looking up at the same spot where he gave the thumbs up.
I was confused, and I finally turned around to look where he was and I saw Enid and Alden standing in a window... watching. They immediately hid behind the wall when they noticed I saw them.
I turned my attention back to Henry. "What's going on?"
He gave a sigh of defeat. "Okay look, you  didn't even hit me that hard. I mean- you did hit me, but I'm not concussed or anything. I'm fine."
"What? What do you mean you're fine? You made me worry for no reason at all?" I was mad now, and I had began to walk away from the bench.
Henry grabbed my hand and pulled me back. "I'm sorry! I just wanted an excuse to get closer to you. I thought you checking my battle wound would be as close as I could get."
I was mad and confused now. "What is that supposed to mean, Henry?"
He breathed out really loud like he was nervous. "I like you... okay? And I just wanted to spend more time with you that didn't involve you kicking my ass."
I smiled and sat down beside him on the bench. "You could've just asked. You're my best friend, we usually tell each other whenever we have a problem."
"That is the problem. I don't just wanna be best friends. I like you. Like I want to kiss you right now."
My heart rate sped up and my cheeks were red... I could feel it. In my 17 years of existing I had never ever felt like this before. Well, there were a few instances that also involved spending time with Henry, but none of them made me feel this anxious and happy at the same time.
"I-I..." I couldn't get any words out.
Henry looked to the ground and nodded. "I feel so dumb. Just forget I said anything...okay? I don't want to ruin what we have." He stood up.
I grabbed his hand and pulled him back down, a look of confusion on his face.
"I like you too Henry. I may even love you. I've just never done anything like this before. I've never liked anyone this way." I felt embarrassed.
A bright smile lit his face up. "Me either."
I couldn't help but smile too. "Then let's figure this out together then..."
He grabbed his hand in mine and intertwined our hands. "Yeah."
We sat in silence for a little before something popped in my head. "Was Enid in on this?"
He laughed. "Kinda. I've been telling her about my crush for months and she said she would help me. But she figured today out on her own."
I just smiled. "Of course she did."

Henry Peletier - Horns
This is a Henry Peletier (from Walking Dead) fanfiction. This is Henry Peletier x Reader. The lyrics I use do not belong to me It is the song “Horns” by Bryce Fox. I do not own the music nor the characters in this story. Enjoy! - Zoe
She got blood, cold as ice, and a heart made of stone.
Y/n. In all four communities, she was known as a badass. She was known as the girl with a stone heart. She never showed feelings and was always ruthless.
But to the people that really know her, that was with her since the start, like Daryl or Michonne, new she could break easily. That she was a softy and the most caring person out there.
Henry Peletier, son of King Ezekiel and Queen Carol, could see that. See, the young warrior liked the girl. For her sense of survival. For her mixed personalities.
But she keeps me alive, she's the beast in my bones.
Y/n acted like she didn't want Henry around like she didn’t care about him. But truth be said, she did want Henry around. She did care about him. He was her definition of the fact that she could still have a future.
Henry could feel that. He could feel the kindness in her harsh tone. He could feel the caring tone in her snarky attitude.
She gets everything she wants when she gets me all alone.
That's when one day, he was tired of her acting like the person she wasn’t.
That’s when he found her in her room, sharpening her ax weapon.
Henry knocked on her door but didn’t wait for an answer. He walked right in and stood in the middle of her room, waiting for Y/n to notice him.
“What are you doing here?” Y/n asked, not even looking up.
“I want you to stop,” Henry said, observing Y/n, her soft and careful gestures.
“What do you mean?” Y/n looked up confused and stopped cleaning her weapon.
Like it’s nothing.
“I want you to stop,” Henry repeated, clutching his stick in his arm. “I want to stop pretending to be this ruthless person when you are not. To stop pretending that you don’t care, when you do. To stop pretending that you don’t have feelings when you do.” Saying those words were harder than when he practiced them in his head.
Y/n stayed silent, looking down. She shook her head. “I-i’m not pretending.” Y/n said, but it was obvious by the crack of her voice that she was.
Henry sat next to her on her bed. “Yes, you are. You know that. I know that.” Henry placed his hand under Y/n’s chin and lifted her face up, to look at him.
“I want people to know that that's not who you are. Because it’s not. You should stop hiding how you feel. Bottling up your emotions won’t help them fade away.”
Y/n stood up from her bed and wiped her eyes. She grabbed her ax and put it in her holster, along with her two guns. She then faced me and looked me in the eyes.
“Then why do people never notice? Why don’t they ever notice that I’m about to crack under pressure?” She insisted.
She got two little horns and they get me a little bit.
“Becuase, you never let them show. It’s like you’re a statue.” Henry said loudly and stood up. He was now face to face with Y/n, only she was shorter than him so she had to look up a bit.
There was silence. Y/n looked at Henry. Henry looked at Y/n. Finally, Henry couldn’t handle it anymore. How else was he supposed to make a girl show emotion when she never did before?
Henry leaned in closer, their noses touching, their lips centimeters apart. Y/n’s hot breath gave Henry a warm, tingling sensation.
Henry cupped Y/n’s face in his hands and connected his lips with Y/n’s. It took Y/n a moment, probably from surprise, but she kissed back. Their mouths moved in perfect sync. Y/n’s hands wrapped around Henry’s neck, and Henry’s hands wrapped around Y/n’s waist. Seconds later, when the two love-struck teenagers were out of breath, they pulled apart. Y/n rested her forehead on Henry’s chest.
“Finally. Some sensation that you are still human.” Henry chuckled, earning a smile from Y/n.

Carol x Ezekiel
Tumblr media
Carzekiel drabble (Carol pov) set just after their scene in 8x06…
Carol walked out of the throne room dry eyed. She didn’t stop to acknowledge Jerry or Henry; she couldn’t. If she let them stop her, if she let them ask her how the King was, their King, her King; then she would break. And that could not happen. There couldn’t be another broken person in the Kingdom, not when so much was at stake.
So she strode past them, not even making eye contact, not breaking her stride. Her face was determined, calm and collected, even as her emotions whirled inside her – as confusing and as strong as they’d always been.
Rick needed her. Maggie needed her. Daryl…
She felt her lip twitch, betraying the emotions inside her and she hurried around a corner entering the building that contained the armoury. She disappeared from the sight of curious eyes and allowed herself to breathe, leaning against the cool surface of the indoor wall.
She breathed in then out, then in and out again. She reached up to dry her eyes even though the tears she had shed in the throne room were long gone. A skill she had perhaps learnt long before, when she was still Ed Peletier’s abused wife: to hide the pain, hide the tears and let no one know the weakness she felt.
She was better at that now of course.
She allowed herself one more second of leaning against the wall then straightened her back and headed to the armoury. She would need to take stock of the weapons they had left after the attack at the outpost. After all they had lost.
“Carol.” It was Jerry. He had forsaken his duty at the King’s door to see her.
She turned around to face him, her face as unreadable as ever. Or at least she hoped so. Her heart was breaking interminably and every one of the faces of her friends, her family, was rushing through her mind.
Rick. Carl. Maggie. Judith. Michonne. Tara. Rosita. Daryl…
No, she thought to herself, and stopped her train of thought from consuming her. She looked over to Jerry who was standing in the doorway looking sombre. She hated that he looked like that. She hated it. She hated that the King had made Jerry look so sombre. She hated it.
“What.” She said. It was not a question. She did not want to have to talk to him, to look out for him. She would dissolve from the sadness she felt for him, standing there, so forlorn.
“Did…” Jerry started. He paused before looking right at her, “Did he say anything?”
Even now, even when the King had broken Jerry’s faith in him as much as he could, Jerry still wanted, still hoped for his King to return.
Carol swallowed then turned around, distracting herself with checking the number of bullets left in a carton. She could sense Jerry standing behind her. She could almost feel his desperation, his hopelessness and his unquenchable desperation for something to be hopeful about.
“Give him time,” Carol said, “And go back to standing guard – we don’t need anyone else seeing him in this state.”
“Ok then,” Jerry said. He didn’t leave. Frustrated, Carol turned around to face him.
“What else?” She demanded: the sooner he spoke, the sooner he’d leave her alone.
“Go talk to him again,” Jerry said. He was standing a little taller, his hands on his hips. Despite the quiver in his voice Carol could tell he was determined.
“I already have,” she said, turning back around, “He just needs time.”
“No,” Jerry said, “He needs you Carol.”
Her heart tightened painfully at his words. She tried to focus on the bullets in front of her but it was no use. She turned back around but Jerry had left. It was probably a good thing too – her hands were shaking and her mouth had tightened.
He needs you Carol.
She raised her hands to her eyes, this time to wipe away one real tear. It was too much. She felt herself shaking.
I can’t.
Those had been the last words he had said to her before she had had to walk away. Seeing him, holding Shiva’s loose chain and sitting by the throne he had used to command on was too much. To see any man broken in that way – especially one who had been so full of optimism and hope – was too much.
And he was more than just any man. Carol let herself lean against the wall and slowly slip down to crouch on the floor. He had been showing her a way to be hopeful. He had been showing her that there was hope in this dark world. And even though she knew his optimism was foolish, a part of her had needed it.
A part of her had needed it more than anything. She had needed King Ezekiel as much as anyone else in the Kingdom, probably more than the rest of them, hardened as much as she was by suffering and survival.
She had needed hope and Ezekiel had given it to her.
And now he needed her. He needed her cynicism, her strength and her willpower.
She clenched her jaw and stood up, not even bothering to wipe away anymore non-existent tears. She adjusted her gun at her side and strode out of the armoury.
Ezekiel needed her.
A/N: This is my first ever TWD fanfiction. I’ve always been slightly terrified of writing for it but I had to: we need more Carzekiel fics guys! This ended up being more Carol centric in the end because I love her, but I might write a part two. It really depends if I can find the time and motivation.
Also - I write Harry Potter reader inserts on my main blog: thesortinghatssunglasses. You’ll have to scroll down a bit because I haven’t written in awhile. This was the first time I’ve written in AGES but when inspiration hits you just have to go with it!
Thanks for reading - I hope you liked it :D

Ok I saw you asking for twd requests so here's one maybe like teens are having a camping or smth and they are just hanging out telling storys frim There own lives before it all went to shit
oooo okay!! I see the vision I see the vision I'm just not great at storytelling LMAOOO
TWD TEENS ; campfire stories
includes ; carl, ron, enid & henry
warnings ; language, death, talk of eating animals
masterlist
Tumblr media
CARL
you guys were out for a couple day long run and set up camp at dawn
you guys were out with Aaron and Jesus but lost them a while back and your radios died so L
you just hoped the campfire would serve as a marker if they were near, they'd see the light or smoke and come to it thinking it was you guys
you eventually strayed into the topic of life before the apocalypse since you'd met Carl and his group on the road to Alexandria
you talked for hours how life was before and the struggles of life now
he talked about the hardships with trying to get over his mom's death, how he mostly taught himself how to care for Judith, the found family he'd lost along the way, how he couldn't convey emotions like a normal person and how he bottled them up until he exploded
you honestly felt the same way about it
lots of sharing stories about how you were just kids and how it really fucked you up in the developmental stages of your lives
it was probably 2am until you guys fell asleep
lots of bonding came out of that and learning more about each other
honestly one of the big moments in your relationship/friendship where you both open up and rant about stuff and just have the other back them up and shit
RON
the people of alexandria were hosting a little bonfire one night for a meeting
the adults were all talking and all the teens (kids were asleep by 11 or so) had their own separate bonfire
one by one some of them went back home to rest but you and ron were the last
he started it with the questions of how it was outside the walls and what it was like and shit
you obviously opened up, feeling heard by someone since you felt like the others who weren't exactly your age understood you
it was nice to talk to someone your age though, he didn't talk over you or try to downplay anything, he just listened
every once in a while he added a comment but his presence was really comforting and it just helped you spill everything out
everything you'd been feeling and holding in just kinda spilled out
and he was there to reassure you that nothing was wrong with you and that you have emotions that you're allowed to express and don't have to hold back
for a while he talks about his sheltered life behind the walls, but he does also have that sense of that "we were both kids and maybe I may have been more privileged than you, I still respect you and I feel for you" vibe
ENID
you were both out in the woods, having snuck out
you made a little campfire and everything
you were both feeling claustrophobic trapped behind walls and stuff so you did the only reasonable thing
she was the first to open up, trying to find a sense of reassurance in you
of course you gave her that because why not
she talks about the turtle thing while you relate, having to do the same with an already dead deer
bonding over trauma ✅️
you talk about memories of elementary school like field trips and recess and shit
and how the world ended at a perfect time to mentally and physically stunt your growth
you get into the psychology of it as well which is really cool
you also theorize what could've happened differently and stuff
HENRY
you were with Daryl, he was with Carol
after the little dinner and the adults having gone asleep, you started some small talk to try and get to know him better
he talks about his life before the apocalypse and how he lost his dad and his brother, stuff like that
he asks basically the same questions that you answer fairly similarly
I mean you guys would've been in kindergarten /1st grade so you talk about the little memories you had before the world ended
and how you looked up to 5th graders like they were gods and shit
reminiscing about trampoline parks

Warnings: none

A/N: The summary sucks and I have no excuse for not writing for a whole month, sorry y’all. I’m gonna try and finish all my requests before the s9 finale so wish me luck. Enjoy
Tumblr media
It was an ordinary day in Hilltop. The community was up and active, busy completing their daily chores. You made your way around the lively community, scoping out the locals of Hilltop in search of an unfamiliar face.
Yesterday, it had been brought to your attention that there was a new member joining the community. You briefly recalled his name to be Henry and that he was the son of Carol, an old friend of your brother Jesus and Tara, the leaders of Hilltop.
Scanning your eyes over the crowd of people at work, you spotted a boy you didn’t recognize. He had a head full of blond hair and freckles littered across his cheeks. He looked like no boy you had ever seen before and he took your breath away. There was no doubt that this was Henry. You froze in place as his gaze locked onto yours. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips and he sent a small wave in your direction.
Snapping out of your trance like state, your feet begin to move on their own accord. As the distance between you and Henry decreased, you grew more nervous. Your heart was beating erratically and you had no idea why seeing him caused such a reaction out of you.
“Hi, Henry right?” You greeted him, only a couple feet separating you both.
“Y-yeah, thats me,” He stumbled over his words. “What’s your name?”
“My names Y/N.”
“Nice to meet you,” Henry told you, the smile on his face from earlier much brighter now.
“Likewise,” You agreed. “So wha-”
Before you could say anything else you were cut off by a voice calling your name.
You spun around to see Jesus steadily approaching you and Henry.
He acknowledged Henry with a nod and then turned his attention back to you.
“Is something wrong?” You questioned Jesus.
“I need your help with something. Meet me at Barrington House,” Was all he said in response and walked off.
You hated how vague he was at times but decided not to pry as he was already too far away.
Henry stood next to you in confusion, ”Who is that?”
“That’s my brother, Jesus,” You sighed, disappointed that he cut your conversation with Henry short. “Anyway, I better get going. Catch you around.”
“Yeah, ok,” Henry mumbled. You sent him a small smile and left to go find Jesus.
At Barrington House you found Jesus sitting on the steps waiting for you. He scrambled to his feet when he saw you coming and entered the massive place you called home. You followed him up the stairs into his office, taking a seat in one of the armchairs.
“What are we doing? I thought you needed help.” You asked, glaring at your big brother for wasting your time for nothing.
Jesus looked at you in curiosity, “Do you like him? Henry?”
Your eyes widened the size of saucers. Why was he asking you this? You didn’t believe in that ‘love at first sight’ bull that you read about in fairy tales when you were younger but you couldn’t deny that you felt something for him the moment he caught your eyes. Of course you would never tell Jesus that.
“What?” You screeched. “I don’t know...Maybe. I just met him.”
“Good,” Jesus stood. “He’s a good kid, I can tell. And I like him much more than that Rodney kid you used to hang around.”
You shuddered, “Don’t remind me.”
“If he hurts you, I’ll hurt him,” Jesus threatened.
“Sure,” You laughed at him, resulting in a scowl.
“I’m serious, Y/N!”
The next day you ran into Henry training with his stick. Your presence went unnoticed as he moved swiftly, slicing the dangerous weapon through the air. His breathing was heavy and small grunts released from his lips. He swung around, pointing his stick in your direction and froze in place as he became aware of your presence.
You waved at him and he brought his stick to his side, combing back his hair with his other hand. Henry smiled at you and nodded, too out of breath to speak just yet.
Once his racing heart calmed down and he could breathe normally again he spoke, “Hey, Y/N.”
“Hi, Henry. Sorry about yesterday, we didn’t really get the chance to talk much.”
“It’s fine, we can talk now if you wan’t,” Henry took a seat on the ground and motioned for you to do the same.
You threw yourself down next to him, lying back on the grass. It was quiet out, still early in the morning so not everybody was up and about. You liked the silence, it gave you a clear head space to think about what to say next. After thinking hard, you finally knew what to say but what came out was completely different.
“My brother said he’d hurt you if you hurt me,” You blurted, sitting up and giving Henry a concerned look.
“What?” He laughed. “Why would I hurt you? I’m not gonna hurt you.”
“I know. Jesus thinks I like you and has got it in his head that your gonna break my heart somehow,” You told Henry honestly, stifling a giggle. “I mean, we barely even know each other. How could you break my heart?”
Henry shakes his head, “We could. Get to know each other, I mean.”
“Oh yeah? So you can actually break my heart?” You joked.
“Of course not. I really want to know you,” Henry grabbed your hand, scooting closer to you.
Blood rushed to your face, heating your cheeks. Henry’s free hand brushed over your face, sending a jolt of electricity throughout your entire body.
“Me too,” You confessed, watching as his brown eyes and smile brighten at your words.
“Good.”
Henry closed the space between you, brushing his lips against yours. You kissed him back gently, hands combing through his messy hair.
Henry pulled away and softly whispered in your ear, “Promise not to break my heart either.”
“I promise.”

Surprise Visit - "Prince" Henry
Summary: A month after you and Henry begin dating, Carol and Ezekiel come to Hilltop for a surprise visit.

It had only been a month since Carol had dropped Henry off at Hilltop to be an apprentice. It was a tough decision for her and Ezekiel to make but they knew it was for the best. Without him around all the time it was quiet and carol and Ezekiel began to miss their son dearly.
Ezekiel thought it would be nice to surprise Henry with a visit. He and Carol would be leaving early the next day to Hilltop.
In the morning they loaded their cart with supplies and were off. The trip was short compared to Henry and Carol’s, especially since they had an unexpected setback with the saviors. Luckily, this time the trip went smoothly and they were now approaching the gates of Hilltop.
Meanwhile inside the walls of Hilltop, dinner has just started and everyone gathers around. You find an empty table and motion Henry over. His hand are full as he makes his way to you, carrying both yours and his dinner. He hands you a bowl of stew and takes a seat next to you.
Both of you begin to eat your food, hungry after a long day of working hard. In between bites, you tell him silly jokes that you once read in a book and make him laugh like crazy. In return he tickles you, sending you into a laughing fit.
Calming down, you lean your frame against Henry and he takes your hand in his under the table. Your meals are now forgotten as you and Henry get absorbed into conversation.
From afar, Carol and Ezekiel watch you two. They had been so excited and anxious to see their son after being welcomed into Hilltop that they didn’t even bother to unload their belongings as they hurried off in search of him. They watched the two of you now, whispering in each others ears and cuddling in each others arms.
Hand in hand and smiling, they begin moving towards you both.
“Henry, my son,” Ezekiel calls out to Henry as he and Carol approach your table. Henry looks up in surprise. A bright smile stretches across his face as he notices his parents standing in front of him.
Henry lets go of your hand and stands from his seat, springing to them and embracing them in a tight hug. “Mom, Dad, what are you doing here?” He asks, pulling away and releasing his hold on them.
“We can’t come visit our son?” Carol asks jokingly, smiling at Henry.
“No- I mean yes, of course you can. I just wasn’t expecting you is all,” Henry assured, flustered and face turning red.
You giggled at his state, finding it funny how he acted around his parents, that is until they turned to you. You immediately quieted down, feeling small under their stare.
Noticing your discomfort, Henry breaks the silence by introducing you,”This is Y/N, we’re dating.”
Ezekiel smiled, “That's wonderful! It's a pleasure to meet you, Y/N.”
“You too,” You spoke, lips curling up into a smile. Carol and Ezekiel smiled at you in return.
Henry returned to his seat next to you and motioned for his parents to sit down. They took a seat across from you and Henry.
You all began to talk about Henry’s first month at Hilltop you even got to hear some embarrassing stories about Henry from Carol that caused you to laugh like a lunatic. You got along great with Carol and Ezekiel, finding it easy to have a conversation with them.
From beside you Henry reached for your hand and took it in his own. The gesture didn’t go unnoticed by Carol and her heart warmed at the thought of her son finding love in the apocalypse. She wrapped her arm around Ezekiel, leaning into his side and Ezekiel pulled her close.
When it came time for Carol and Ezekiel to leave a few days later, you and Henry assisted them in loading up their cart and making sure they had everything they needed for their trip back to the Kingdom.
As Henry finished loading the cart, Carol and Ezekiel pulled you aside to say goodbye.
“Take care of our boy, please,” Carol whispered, wrapping her arms around you in a hug. You hug her back in response, pulling away only when she does.
“I will,” You promised, searching her face and seeing how truly worried she was to leave him. “I love him and I’ll take good care of him.”
On their journey back, Carol and Ezekiel talk about you and Henry. They’re faces are beaming with delight as they discuss how happy Henry looked sitting next to you and how comfortable he was with you around
“Y/N’s good for our boy,” Ezekiel announced. Carol hummed in agreement, happy for her son.

Walkers and Wolves - Henry Peletier (Teaser)
Summary: Y/N is half human and half wolf; a werecoyote. After the apocalypse started she was with her father and they eventually end up meeting henry and his group. soon its just them surviving together.
A/N: the summary is a little rough, i’ll fix it once I write more. This will be a series so expect more parts. I will post the complete part 1 sometime tomorrow. Let me know what you think please
Down the road I hear a shout. I turn to see walkers coming out of the woods, all of them headed towards my dad. He was defenseless with his injury, opting to run for his life instead of fighting back. He managed to get a good ten yards away from the dead when he fell, grasping his leg in pain. I run to him as fast as I can, lungs burning and gasping for air. I crouch down next to him, throwing his arm around my shoulder and help him up to his feet.
I start moving forward, trying to leave the dead behind and get to safety. Dad leans against me, shuffling along. We don’t get far before a bony hand grabs my arm and rips me away and causes my dad to fall to the pavement ones again. I pull out of the walkers grip and quickly stab it in the head with knife, watching as it crumples to the ground next to Dad.
“Dad, get away! I’ll be fine!” I scream above the groans of the dead. I doubt my own words as the walkers surround me. From the corner of my eye I see my dad jump to his feet and begin to limp away as the walkers hungry gazes focus on me.
I get into a fighting stance. I will not go down without a fight. One by one I take the walkers down, stabbing them in the heads. They keep coming and it seems like they will never stop. I bring my knife down into the skull of one and it gets stuck. The walkers start to close in and for a minute I think this is the end. I close my eyes and wait for the pain to come but it never does.
I hear a grunt next to me and my eyes open in shock. There’s a boy next me, killing the remaining walkers with a stick. He knocks them down in a swift fluid motions that tells me he’s had years of practice. He distracts the walkers and gives me enough time to free my knife from the corpses head and plunge it into another right before it almost sinks its teeth into the flesh of my arm. I pull the knife out, panting and confused as I look at the boy. All the walkers are dead and I exhale in relief. He saved my life.
The boy and I have a staring contest for a moment, both of us panting like a couple of deranged lunatics. It’s only now that the threat of danger is no longer looming over us that I realize my dad is nowhere to be seen. He must have got away.
I’m about to ask the mystery boy who he is before a group of people come running out of the woods yelling.

Badass - “Prince” Henry Peletier
Summary: After Henry watches you practice with your sword, he realizes just how much of a badass you really are
Word Count: 809
Warnings: swearing, a kiss
Request: Could you do a henry x reader imagine, where henry is at the hilltop and is watching with Addy, Gage and rodney the Reader practice her sword and she is like really really badass??? Please???
A/N: I’m sorry this took so long, I’m trying to catch up on requests. I really hope you like it, I tried to make it as long as I could without it being too short. Feedback is appreciated!
Tumblr media
You sliced your crisp, sharp blade through the air as Henry and the other Hilltop teens watched you practice with your sword. You paid no mind to them however, completely engrossed in what you were doing.
You took pride in your sword, you were one of the few at Hilltop and any of the other communities beside Michonne that had one and knew how to use it well. The teens were in awe at your agility as you moved, unfazed by the sweltering sun beating down on you.
Bringing your sword down to your side, you turned and faced them, smiling slightly. One by one they began to walk towards you, praising you and holding out their hands for high fives. It made you happy that you had such supportive friends.
“That was badass, Y/N,” Gage said as he high fived you. “You’re getting better!”
“Thanks, Gage.”
Your stomach grumbled loudly, causing him to laugh.
“Let’s go to something to eat,” He suggested, already starting to walk away with Addy and Rodney.
“You guys go on, we’ll catch up in a minute,” You responded to Gage, eyeing Henry who was still standing next to you. Gage nodded and continued on with the others.
Now that you and Henry were alone you motioned for him to follow you. You had no particular destination in mind but you needed an excuse to talk to him. Over the past couple of days you had developed a small crush on the freckled boy and hadn’t been able to get him off of your mind.
He walked along you in silence, neither of you speaking. Every so often you would glance at each other and your mouth would spread into a wide grin, just his presence enough to make you smile.
It had been well over a minute since you parted ways with the others but you didn’t care. You weren’t really hungry after all and Henry didn’t seem to be either.
Eventually, after walking around for a few more minutes he broke the silence, “That really was badass earlier. You’re really good, Y/N.”
“Thank you,” You whispered, heat rushing to your face at his compliment and butterflies swarming in your stomach.
You had no idea why he affected you this much. It was different when Gage complimented you, he was like your brother. With Henry is was like you had no control of your actions and your mind went blank trying to figure out what you should say next.
“You’re probably just as good with a stick, if not better,” He said, eyes scanning over the blush on your cheeks as one his own face reddened.
That made you laugh, “I bet I could kick your ass with your own stick.”
Henry took that as a challenge, “Oh yeah? Well let’s see then.” He handed you his stick.
You took the stick in your hands and positioned yourself into a fighting stance. Henry stepped back as you took your first swing at him. He dodged it easily, smirking at you when you huffed in disappointment. On your second swing you managed to make contact and knocked the wind out of him.
You made sure he was ok once he regained oxygen again. He held up a hand signaling that he was fine, urging you to have another go at him. Once again you swung the stick at Henry but this time he managed to get ahold of it and snatch it out of your grip, swinging it behind you and knocking you onto the ground with a thud.
“Hey!” You groaned, “That wasn’t very nice.”
Henry laughed but before he could say anything back you swiped your legs underneath him causing him to fall on top of you. You groaned again, his elbow digging into your side. He pushed himself up a bit, both his arms on either side of you.
“That wasn’t very nice either, Y/N,” Henry said smirking down at you.
“You’re right,” You agreed, grinning up at him. “It was badass.”
“It was,” He confessed, leaning down slowly. “Is it ok if I kiss you?”
You nodded. His lips connected to yours in a gentle kiss. You pulled him closer, running your hands through his hair as his mouth ghosted over yours. You found your shared inexperience in kissing endearing and smiled brightly as you both pulled away panting slightly.
Henry stood, pulling you up after him. “So what does this mean for us?” He asked sheepishly.
“It means I kicked your ass,” You laughed. “Kidding. It means we like each other or at least I would hope.”
“We do,” Henry confirmed, taking your hand in his. Both your stomach grumbled and you both laughed again. “Lets go get something to eat now.”
Hand in hand, you both went to eat, talking and laughing along the way.

Walkers and Wolves - Henry Peletier Pt.1
Summary: Y/N’s Werecoyote genes date back all the way to her grandmother and since the start of the apocalypse the only person she’s had is her dad. That was until she met Henry. Now Y/N and Henry are forced to survive on their own.
Word Count: 1.7k
Warnings: none
A/N: Hey everyone! This is part of a series I’m working it. This type of AU is really new to me so please excuse any inaccuracies that I may make. Please let me know what you think and tell me if you want to be tagged in future chapters.
My stomach grumbles in hunger. Dad and I hadn’t eaten anything in days and it was starting to get to us. I make a mental note to go out hunting later, remembering some animal tracks I had seen in the area earlier.
Right now my main focus was finding someplace to lay low for a few days. Dad wasn’t looking so good. Our camp had been overrun a week before and we barely made it out with our lives. He injured himself escaping, leaving his leg with a deep gash and a limp. For some reason he isn’t healing like he should be. I tried to treat the wound normally but he refused, telling me to save what little supplies we have left.
We shuffled our tired bodies along the road, determined to find shelter before nightfall. There were a few dead ones lurking near us. I pull out my knife and quickly take care of them. The walkers fell as I kicked them in the knees and finished them off with a knife to the skull. I was used to the sick crunching noise that was made when the metal connected with bone and pulled my weapon out unfazed.
I turned back to Dad only to see him struggle to keep up with me. I noticed a few buildings ahead where we could crash.
“Dad, look!” I pointed. He attempted to smile but it turned out more like a grimace. I frowned, worried. His wound must be infected badly.
“Good eye, Kiddo. Why don’t you run on ahead and check out one of the buildings. I’ll wait right here.”
“But-” I started but was cut off.
“I will be fine, Y/N. Now go.”
I nodded reluctantly, shifting into my werecoyote form and running as fast as I could.
As I neared the buildings I could see just how worn down they were. Unkempt vines covered the old brick stores and shattered glass once part of big windows littered the ground around my feet. I yelped as a stepped on a shard of glass. The lingering smell of walkers filled my senses and I scanned the area for any danger. I saw none and shifted back.
I bang my hand on one unbroken window of the building, hoping if there were any walkers inside they would come out and make my life a whole lot easier. After a minute of silence the coast seemed clear and I enter what appeared to be an old drug store, knife by my side. The inside was a mess. The shelves were knocked over and there was trash and empty boxes everywhere. Someone had clearly already raided this place sometime ago. Just my luck.
I search for anything that might still be useful as I move towards the back of the store. A loud pop sounded as I took a step deeper inside the rundown establishment and I pull my knife out in front of me. I look around, searching for the culprit of the noise but there was no sign of anyone, dead or alive.
Beneath my shoes, a shiny glint of foil caught my attention.  I stepped back and picked up what was now a crushed bag of chips, half of which was spilled on the grimy tiled floor. I had stepped on them while walking. My stomach howled painfully in reminder of how hungry I was. Without thinking twice I sweep up the crumbs off the floor and back into their bag. I couldn’t care less that it was gross, so close to starving I would eat anything at this point.
I shoved the bag in my backpack with crinkle and moved on to finish scavenging supplies. This time I mind my step, not wanting to risk ruining any other food or items that I might come across. After searching the whole store I find nothing but useless junk. I sigh, feeling defeated. I really hoped that I would find something to get us by for a few more days at least.
I make my way back outside and check on of the other store next to the one I was just in. Again, I come up empty handed. Today was not my lucky day.
Down the road I hear a shout. I turn to see walkers coming out of the woods, all of them headed towards my dad. He was defenseless with his injury, opting to run for his life instead of fighting back. He managed to get a good ten yards away from the dead when he fell, grasping his leg in pain.
“Henry! Stop running away from the group!” One of them yells. She eyes me suspiciously, glancing at the dead corpses piled in the road.
“I’m sorry,” The boy, Henry, says. “I heard screaming and I wanted to help.”
“Well next time don’t. You’ll get yourself killed.”
The rest of the group is huddled together, mumbling something that I can’t make out. Henry and the woman gather around them, leaving me by myself. My heart is racing dangerously, I feel overwhelmed by what happened only moments ago.
I pace back and forth, not caring if Henry and his group think I’m insane. I take deep breaths, trying to clear my head and focus on what I should do next. I need to find my dad. He’s hurt and all alone. He’s close though, I can feel it.
I stop pacing and try to approach the group but stop short as the same woman from before pulls a gun on me and points it straight at my head. I back up right away, hands up in surrender.
“Woah, woah, calm down.” My voice quivers and I look at Henry, noticing his eyes are already on me. “I just wanted to say thanks for saving me but I got to go now.”
With that I turn and walk the other way. As I reach the forest edge I felt a hand on my arm, stopping me. It reminds me of how the walker grabbed me earlier and I swing around, knife in hand, ready to stab whoever or whatever it was.
It was Henry. For the first time I finally noticed his features. Freckles dotted his his face and he had soft, sandy looking looks. We lock eyes and for a moment I forget how to breath.
I shook my head, tugging my arm free from his surprisingly strong grip. I didn’t have time for this. I needed to go.
“Just wait.”
The way he spoke makes me suspect he was related to that woman. They spoke the same and carried themselves the same way. I know that if I ever crossed either of them that I would be in big trouble, no matter how nice Henry seems.
“You can join us,” Henry offers. I can tell he means it but I dont know if I should accept his offer. “You’ll be safe. We can protect you.”
“Is your group ok with that?” I ask.
He nods. “Yes. So what do you say…?”
“Y/N. My name’s Y/N,” I introduce myself. “And yes, I’ll join your group. But first I need to find my dad, we got separated by the dead.”
Henry smiles, “Welcome to the group! I’ll get the others and we’ll help you find your dad.”
“Thank you.”
Henry waves a hand and beckons over his group. All 7 of them make their way over without question. I walk into the woods, followed by Henry and his people.
I had a feeling this was the beginning of something that would change me forever. Good or bad, that I didn’t know but it didn’t make me feel any better.

It was a hot day as you and a small group galloped on horseback towards the Kingdom, each of you carrying supplies to trade with the community. The sun beat down on you, shining in your eyes as you neared the gates of the Kingdom. With one hand gripping the horse lead tightly, you raised your free hand into the sky, waving to the guards on watch.
“Open the gates!” Jerry yelled to the guards as he saw you and your group on horseback approaching the kingdom.
Slowly the gates opened and you and the others entered the walls of the kingdom. Jerry nodded his head down to you in greeting as he climbed down from his post to meet you. Carefully, you climbed off of your horse, immediately being pulled into a bone crushing hug as Jerry embraced you. He pulled away, smiling at you.
“It’s been a while, kid. You’re all grown up.” He said, looking you over. He then began to help you unload the supplies you had brought.
“It sure has,” You agreed, passing Jerry a pack containing supplies. “Three years is a long time to be gone.”
It had been three years since you’d last stepped foot in the Kingdom, the place that was once your home. Your father had gotten sick and the Kingdom just didn’t have the medicine he needed to get better, but Hilltop, your current residency, did. They took you and your father in and did all they could to treat him. Their attempts at treatment were futile and he had passed away one night with you by his side. You had stabbed him in the head before he could turn.
After that you just decided it would be easier to just stay at Hilltop, abandoning the life you had built at the Kingdom and the friendships you had made. Your father’s death had left you in distress, not knowing how you could live without him as you mourned. He had always been there to protect you, even before the end of the world, and now he wasn’t. After awhile you had grown accustomed to his absence, your grief somehow making you stronger than before.
Over time you had become a productive member of the community at Hilltop, helping those who needed it and even learning a thing or two about the practice of medicine.
You had matured a great deal since living at Hilltop, now wiser and older, nearly an adult. When you heard that other members of the community would be making a trip to the Kingdom, you begged to come with. You knew it was time to go back to the Kingdom, having had time to heal properly after such a deep loss. Being away for so long, you longed to be with the people you once called family. You just hoped you could pick up where you left off, but it had been so long and things and people change, you had changed, so it was wishful thinking.
Jerry’s warm welcoming made you think that it wasn’t just wishful thinking after all and that maybe the others would feel the same.
Jerry and you continued to unload supplies from the rest of your groups horses as they went to pick up what they needed in exchange. As soon as you were both done, your group returned with a few crates and bags of supplies, beginning to load them on to their horses. They then climbed onto them, in a hurry to leave and make it back to Hilltop before nightfall. When you didn’t get back on your horse, Jerry looked at you in confusion.
“I want to stay,” You told him, smiling nervously. “If that’s ok.”Jerry smiled back gleefully.
“Of course it is. You’re always welcome here.”
You looked back at the group you had traveled with, grateful for them and everything they had done for you the past few years. They had been reluctant to let you leave Hilltop, worried for your safety, but knowing you would be in good hands they agreed. One of them, Timothy, smiled at you as he grabbed the reins of your horse, nodding farewell as his horse trotted forwards, yours following in step. The gates opened once again and then they were off.
You stared at the gate as it closed, shielding you from the outside world. Your stomach felt uneasy, your brain questioning whether or not you had made the right choice to say. Those thoughts quickly vanished as Jerry nudged your shoulder gently.
“Come on, everyone will be excited to see you again,” He said, motioning you to follow him as he walked off.
Jerry came to a stop outside what you remembered to be Carol and Ezekiel’s home. You stay frozen in your spot as he knocked on their door, feeling nervous.
The door slowly opened and the King popped his head out, looking at the man before him, “Jerry!” The King addressed the man excitedly, smiling the same smile you remembered. “What brings you here?”
“There’s someone here I thought you and Carol would like to see.”
Jerry stepped aside, revealing you to Ezekiel and Carol who now stood next to her husband. Upon seeing you, they both exited their house quickly and pulled you into their arms. You were a sight for sore eyes and they were glad to see you after your long absence.
Ezekiel pulled away first but Carol stayed, her arms wrapped around you tightly. The exchange brought tears to your eyes, realizing how much you had missed her. She had been like a mother to you, treating you as her own.
“Oh, sweety. Welcome back, we all missed you,” Carol whispered in your ear, releasing you from her hold.
”You let out a shaky breath and wiped your eyes, “I missed you, too. All of you.”
After you had reunited with Carol and Ezekiel, they welcomed you into their home, even inviting you to stay in one of the spear rooms. You gratefully accepted their offer, dropping off what little belongings you owned in you new room and then catching up with them.
You found that talking to Carol and Ezekiel was easy, and maybe it was because you had known them for years and they were familiar. You also realized that as you talked about your time at Hilltop a weight was lifted off of your shoulders. They had understood the reason you stayed, having lost people they loved before and experienced the same grief as you.
The more time you spent around Carol and Ezekiel, you began to notice someone was missing. A certain someone that meant a lot to you when you lived at the Kingdom. Henry, your once best friend and the son of Carol and Ezekiel was nowhere in sight. You hadn’t seen him at all in the short time since you’d arrived at the kingdom. Worry consumed you and your stomach felt as if it was in knots, afraid something had happened to him.
Carol must have noticed your wandering eyes, reading your mind, “Henry’s around here somewhere. Why don’t you go find him. We’ll be here when you get back, don’t worry.”
You sighed in relief, saying goodbye to the King and his wife as you went in search of Henry. Figuring he wasn’t in the house, you ventured outside. You didn’t get far before you ran into someone, causing you to fall with a thud.
“Shit, sorry!” You apologized quickly as a hand reached down to help you up. “I was trying to find someone and just wasn’t paying attention to where I was going.”
You gripped the hand before you, the person it belonged to pulling you up with minimal effort. You scanned the persons face, trying to figure out why they looked so familiar. Suddenly, it hit you.
“Henry!” You gasped. You barely recognized him anymore, he had changed so much. He was tall and broad shouldered, carrying himself with a confidence that you didn’t remember him having. One thing you did remember where his freckles, scattered all across his face like stars in the sky. You couldn’t deny that you found him attractive.
Henry’s eyes sparked with recognition as he pulled you into a hug. “Y/N? What are you doing here?”
He released you from his embrace, stepping back to get a good look at you. He thought it was strange to how much you had changed since you’d been away, looking completely different than what he remembered.
“I’m back. For good,” You told him, ecstatic.
It had now been a month since you’d arrived at the Kingdom and a lot had happened. You had been living with Carol and her family, quickly becoming an important part of it. You were happier than you had been in a long time. Your friendship with Henry had been rekindled and the two of you here inseparable. Everywhere Henry went you went and vice versa.
Often when Henry would train with his stick, you would sit in the gazebo and read a book. Lately, you hadn’t been able to focus, often having to reread a page once or twice more. You were distracted by the grunts Henry would make as he swung his stick around during practice, sweat dripping off his brow and his shirt soaked. You didn’t want to admit it but you were developing feelings for the freckle faced boy.
When Henry decided he had practiced enough, he would come and sit next to you, reading the book in your hands over your shoulder. It always annoyed you when he did that but you had grown used to it. Sometimes when he was really tired out he would just close his eyes and lay his head on your shoulder as you read.
One time he asked you to read aloud to him. It made you nervous for some reason, causing butterflies to erupt in your stomach but you read to him anyway. He lied his head down in your lap and closed his eyes as you spoke softly. While reading to Henry, you’d developed a habit of stroking his hair, brushing it away from his forehead. He didn’t seem to mind it much, opening his eyes every so often and smiling up at you as you continued to caress his head in a gentle manner.
Lately, there had been a build up of walkers outside the gates and it seemed that when one clustered of them had been cleared, another had formed. Henry had been one of the people to take the walkers down and though he took pride in protecting his home and his family, it only made you sick to your stomach with nerves and as it turned out you were right to be.
Up against one of the dead, Henry had fallen twisting his ankle. The walker lunged for him but Henry was quick to react and stabbed the walker in the head before it could bite him. The others that were out there with him finished the walkers off and carried him back to safety inside the Kingdom walls, and after a stern lecture from his mother to be careful it was your turn to have at him.
“God, Henry. Be careful!” You yelled at him. “You could have died!”
Henry had already heard this from his mother just moments before and he didn’t need to hear it again. He was fine, if you called being on bed rest with a sprained ankle fine.
“I know, Y/N. You don’t have to yell at me. I know,” Henry insisted.
A laugh bubbled up from your throat, tears springing from your eyes. Henry waited for you to say something.
“I can’t lose another person I love,” You cried. “Not again. Damnit, Henry, I love you. I’m in love with you, so you better not fucking die on me or else I’ll be pissed.”
Your revelation left Henry shocked for a moment, unable to find the right words to say so he spoke the first words that came to mind.
“I’m in love with you too, Y/N. Shit, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have gone out there,” Henry rasped. “I’m not gonna die on you, I promise.”
Henry sat up on his bed, pulling your crying form into his lap and wrapped his arms around you. He held you in his arms for a moment, waiting for your crying to subside.
“Hey, hey. Look at me, Y/N,” Henry said softly. “I’m right here.”
Henry lifted his hand to you face, turning you to face him. His heart ached at how scared you looked. You were absolutely terrified of losing him but he promised that you wouldn’t so you had to believe just that.
Slowly, Henry leaned in a kissed your lips gently. They were wet with tears but it didn’t bother Henry one bit as he kissed you again, your lips brushing against his in a fluid motion. You pulled away, laying your forehead against his. You smiled at each other, both afraid to let go of the other. Henry lied down on his bed, pulling you with him. Shortly after you both fell asleep, thinking about how it felt to be in love.
