i hate when people call marcille a girlfailure btw like SHE ISNT. and shes not a ”girlboss” either. this is a neurotic and Permanently On The Edge of a Breakdown overachiever late 20s virgin just out of her phd program with permanently shaky hands from an addiction to overly sugary coffee and a deep desire to be crushed to death under falins giant jugs no matter the cost. the only thing shes ever ”failed” at is going to theraphy

#dungeon meshi#she is my favorite#i took one look at her gifted kid complex and was like OH yes you're mine now#she's gonna get it done but there will be no sense of moderation or proportional response involved#her two modes are On and Off. there is NO dimmer switch#there will however be some extremely bizarre results while she tries to fake having a dimmer switch

The Birds And The Bees ~ MYG [Request]

WORD COUNT: 2.3K
GENRE: Non Idol Au, Family Au, fluffy,
PAIRING: Min Yoongi x Fem!Reader
A/N: I hope this is okay for you! I know we spoke about putting the two of your requests together so I hope I did this some justice for you sweetie!
Jae shook his head at his best friend as they walked up the long paved driveway to their house. Jae and his twin sister had been out all day at their friend's house, having lunch together while their parents were out. They were supposed to go straight home to bed but the twins decided to have a sleepover instead, inviting their best friends Kayla and Derek over.
"I told you, my parents aren't even home," Jae laughed as he looked to his twin sister who was telling her best friend the same thing. Their friends were worrying that their parents would find out and get them all in trouble. The twins weren't normally the ones to have a small get together when their parents weren't home but with you and Yoongi gone they had free roam of the huge house you all lived in. They figured it would be no harm in having a small sleepover, they normally have them under your supervision anyway so it didn't seem like a big deal.
"Where are they anyway?" Kayla asked as she threw her long blonde hair up into a ponytail, shifting her bag from one shoulder to the other. Ara rolled her eyes as she thought back and on what you and Yoongi had told her that morning.
"A romantic getaway, they haven't been spending enough time together." Jae couldn't help but fake a gag as his sister told them where they were and at the thought of his parents still being romantic together. You were always all over one another as if you were still two young teenagers in love, which is cute for the both of you but embarrassing and cringeworthy for both of your kids.
"You want to be careful you don't get another younger brother or sister," Derek joked as he shook his head at the thought. The twins stopped walking when they reached the front porch of their house and stared at their friends who were both laughing uncontrollably.
"What? What's so funny?" Ara questioned, raising her eyebrow as she looked at her best friend who was starting to turn red in the face from laughing so hard. Kayla covered her mouth to try and silence her giggles but it was hard when Ara seemed so innocent in comparison to everyone else in their academic year.
"Do you have any idea where babies come from?" Kayla questioned this time, looking between them both as they thought it over. The twins were 13, almost 14, of course, they knew where babies come from. They'd spoken to their parents about it plenty of times but never the full birds and the bee's talk.
"Our mum? When they spend a lot of time together...Then mum-" Jae stopped him from continuing on when he saw their friends laughing even harder at them, he could sense that what he thought happened was wrong. There was a pit growing in his stomach as he felt embarrassed in front of them Kayla could see how it was upsetting them so she stopped laughing.
"You guys should really ask about that sometime," Kayla told them as they all walked into the house, taking off their shoes and coats as they stared around the place in Awe. It didn't matter how many times they came here they would still be in shock as they saw how different it was from normal homes. It helped that Yoongi, the twins' father and your husband, worked as a huge music producer. He wasn't famous but he worked alongside a lot of famous influences which paid well. Then there was you, the twins' mother, you worked as a bridal fashion designer which meant you got to work from home most of the time and get paid to draw, model and design gowns for people.
The house wasn't huge but it was bigger than most family homes, the small porch area they were now standing in had high ceilings with a fake crystal chandelier hanging down above them. The whole of the house was painted white and had marble counters in the kitchens and bathrooms. All the floor lined with different coloured flooring panels, Ara always made the same joke that it looked as though her mum had created the place in a Sims game and their father paid to have it recreated.
"Do you want another sibling?" Derek asked as they began to walk through to the living room, the lights were dimmed lower which made Ara frown as she searched around for the dimmer switch. As soon as the lights turned onto the full mode a scream came from the sofa and Yoongi rushed to cover you. The two of you weren't indecent but you were making out on the sofa,
"MUM!" Ara screamed covering her eyes as she turned around to face away from the scene before her,
"DAD!" Jae yelled out following his sisters' actions, their friends both laughing as they turned around and covered their eyes.
"We're clothed kids, I just wasn't expecting you here," You told them disapprovingly as you moved away from Yoongi and looked at your daughter, she was avoiding all means of eye contact with you. That meant she knew she wasn't supposed to have friends over and was trying to avoid getting into trouble with you.
"You were supposed to come home-" You checked the time realising that both you and Yoongi should have called them before now but you'd both been so lost in one another to have noticed.
"Hours ago, I thought we said no sleepovers," Yoongi said as he was doing his best to stay mad at them but he knew that he did the same thing at their age so he couldn't be mad forever. Neither could you since you knew what it was like to be their age and have the house all to yourself,
"You were supposed to be on your 'romantic getaway'," Your daughter grumbled as they all walked further into the living room and sat down on each of their seats in the living room. They already knew they were in trouble but if they could keep their friends there for long enough you and Yoongi would cool down. You'd never shout or tell them off in front of company. Kayla sat down beside Ara on one of the two-seater sofa's and Ara was still turning a bright red at the thought of their friend's seeing all of this. Her parents acting as though they were kids,
"The hotel cancelled on us last minute. Double booked us," Yoongi mumbled as he looked at Jae who was sitting with Derek on the beanbags in the corner of the room. Derek was turning away whenever they meet their eyes, feeling slightly shy in front of you both now.
"Mr and Mrs Min..." Kayla said slowly as she looked at the both of you, ignoring the look she was getting from Ara. Ara knew what was going to get asked and she wasn't looking forward to it.
"Yes, darling?" You questioned, raising your eyebrow as she stared at you trying to gather the nerve to question you.
"How did you and Mr Min meet? We've always wondered but the twins won't tell us," It was the talk of the school, or rather their school year on how the two richest parents meet and what their story was.
"Well...We met in college, I hated him actually. He was so stuck up and cocky." You giggled at the thought of it and Yoongi wrapped his arm around your shoulder, drawing your body closer to him as he kissed your cheek.
It wasn't a huge deal now as it seemed back then, The twins' groaned at the sudden display of affection coming from you both, they hated whenever you would get like this around them. Poor Jae still believed that girls had cooties and that if he kissed one his teeth would fall out, they were so young and innocent that it made it hard for both you and Yoongi to tell them the truth.
"He was a player in college, never went out with the same person twice...Then one day he asked me out, I told him no and I guess-"
"The chase was fun," Yoongi cut you off as he looked at you. Love filled in his eyes as he looked at you, the same love he felt for you back then still there in his heart. There wasn't a day that went by when he didn't think about how much he adored every part of you, he would go through it all over again. Every second of college if it meant he could start your story all over again, back to that moment his eyes first landed on you. The first time his heart skipped a beat which it still did to this day.
"You had the twins right after getting married...Was there a reason you wanted them so early?" Derek asked this time, he seemed to be just as engrossed in this story as much as Kayla was which made Jae and Ara groan. They'd heard all of the stories so many times that they could recite them if they felt the need to but they didn't want to. The thought of their parents still acting as though they were young and in love was enough of a cringe experience for them.
"Well we discussed having a large family, we had to start early." You laughed softly as Yoongi lifted your hand to his lips and gave you a small gentle kiss,
"Do you want more?" The room fell into a deadly silence, all five pairs of eyes were on you as you thought about it.
"We do want more," You answered softly, looking at the twins' who had discussed the thought of having siblings but they'd never given it a real thought before.
"In the future maybe, depending on the twins and how they feel about it all," Yoongi answered as he rose to his feet.
"I'll drive you both home, you two go and do your homework," Yoongi told the twins as they nodded at him, walking their friends out of the house to say goodbye.
Later that night the twins were getting ready for bed while you and Yoongi cleaned up after the late dinner you'd had together,
"Mum?" You glanced over your shoulder at Jae who was looking at you shyly,
"We have questions." You stared from him to Yoongi as you could already sense where the conversation was going. You'd walked past the study when you heard the twins debating on who was going to ask where babies really came from,
"Sure, s-sit down." You stuttered out hoping that Yoongi would take over the conversation since he was supposed to have the talk with Jae while you were supposed to have the dreaded talk with Ara who was now walking into the room in her PJ's. Sitting beside her brother and waiting for him to pluck up the courage and question you both on it,
"What's on your-"
"Where do babies come from?!" It came out as a yell from Jae who was now sinking into his seat as you both looked at him and then to one another. Debating if you were ready to ruin their childhood and tell them the truth.
"They're going to find out soon, school teachers them a lot..." You whispered slowly as you held back the tears, the thought of your kids growing up so fast was bothering you. Taking in a deep breath you turned to look at your husband, his ears were burning a bright red and he nodded at you.
The twins had different reactions, your son was staring at his father with a disgusted look on his face, his mouth hanging open at the thought of it all. Your daughter was staring at the table as she tried to erase the image from her mind, neither of you had gone into detail about it because they were your kids and it would be wrong but you told them the basics of how babies were made.
"I think I'm going to need therapy." Your daughter whined as she shook her head as if it was somehow going to get the image of her parents together out of her head.
"I second that," Jae mumbled as he stared at his father who was finding the whole thing quite funny,
"Well there was no other way and it was a lot of fun doing it," Even you groaned at the crude way he was speaking in front of your kids, you playfully smacked his arm and got up from the table. Going to make a cup of hot chocolate for each of you as you got ready for bed that night. The twins grumbled as they got up from the chairs and agreed to one another that they would never look at you and Yoongi the same way again for as long as they would leave.
"So do you want siblings?" Yoongi chuckled as both of the twins rushed off to their rooms, ignoring Yoongi as he kept yelling the question out to them.
"They're no longer our babies," You whined out as you wrapped your arms around the back of Yoongi's neck and brought him down into a kiss, whining as he tried to pull away from you.
"We can make new babies," He smirked, reaching around and grabbing your ass but you slapped his chest with the teatowel.
"When we get a hotel room, I don't want to while the kids are home." You laughed softly, laying your head on Yoongi's chest as you both stood in silence together, swaying to no music but just enjoying being together with one another.

Little Kestrel (Part 10)[Birds of Different Feathers Series]
Fandom: Sanders Sides
Relationships: Logan & Patton & Virgil (future Virgil/Patton but not in this story)
Characters:
Main: Logan, Patton, Virgil
Appear: Thomas
Mentioned: Janus
Summary:
It was supposed to be a quick job either way. Either Virgil would assassinate King Thomas of Prijaznia or he’d be caught and get executed. Yet, when Virgil gets the wrong bedroom and gets caught by Prince Logan and his future royal advisor, Patton, the job ends up getting way more complicated for the 14-year-old. He also ends up sleeping in a (actually pretty comfortable) closet for a few weeks…
Notes: Implied/referenced child abuse, assassination attempt, knives, torture mentioned, captivity, teenagers being really dumb
This is a prequel to Kill Dear. I wrote it 100 words at a time on my blog, but this is the edited version. If you want to see how it was crafted, look at the tag proofread stories.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9
Patton spent most of his day setting up the closet into a makeshift bedroom. Logan helped him move the clothing that had been in that closet to a storage area in the potion’s lab, and Patton fussed over the arrangement of the pillows and blankets for far longer than necessary. Now he was putting up little decorations on the walls. He continuously asked for Virgil’s opinion, and Virgil continuously seemed startled by that fact. Logan observed their interactions from across the room as they sat halfway into the closet. He was currently fiddling with the star shaped lights Patton had wanted him to make.
He figured Virgil would appreciate having multiple light setting options for the lights since they’d be above his head all night. Logan had only ever made them with on and off settings before, so he’d grabbed a few of his books; he currently had one in his lap. While he’d already figured out how to make preset settings and had programmed four: off, 100%, 50% and 25%, now he was working on the possibility of making a sliding dimmer and options that affected different groups of lights differently. It was a bit more complex of a task, but it should be doable.
“There!” Patton said. “Nice and comfy!” Logan glanced up to see the way Virgil’s head tilted like he was trying to puzzle Patton out. Patton just smiled at him. “Go ahead and test it out!” he suggested. “We can switch things around if you want.”
Virgil obediently crawled into the closet and onto the makeshift bed Patton had made.
“Lay down and make sure it’s okay,” Patton coaxed.
Virgil did, laying down on the pile of pillows and blankets and laying his head on the pillow that had been reserved for that purpose.
“Is it okay?” Patton asked.
Virgil blinked long and slow like he was very much contemplating going to sleep right then and there. Logan wondered if the potion was still affecting him or if he was just still exhausted from before. Perhaps it was both. “Yeah,” the boy answered softly.
Patton turned to look at Logan. “Are the lights done?” he asked.
“Not quite yet,” Logan said. “They will be ready before it is time to sleep.”
“Sounds good!” Patton said. “We should probably think about dinner soon.”
Logan hummed in acknowledgment and waved his hand over the light he’d been working on. It lit up dim and then slowly increased in power as he moved his hand. Perfect! Now that he’d figured it out, it would not take long to get the rest of the lights working properly. Then he’d just have to make the control panel to control which light turned on when and install them.
He was just about to shut off that first light when there was a soft knock at the door.
“Patton,” Patton’s mom’s voice called.
Logan shared a panicked glance with Patton. “Just a second,” Patton called back. “I told her you were sick,” he whispered just loud enough for Logan to hear him.
Logan jumped into action. He shoved the unlit lights under his desk along with his books and lobbed the lit one towards the closet. It missed and bounced on the ground, but Patton seemed to get the idea and picked it up, handing it to Virgil. “Sorry, sorry,” Patton said to the boy. “Just be quiet please.”
Logan hurried over to his bed and pulled the covers up over himself. Patton was there in the next second tossing a cloth over his forehead; hopefully she wouldn’t notice that it was not wet. Then, Patton was zipping to the door. He glanced back at Logan when he got there who nodded, laying back. He pulled open the door. “Hi Mama!” Patton said cheerfully.
“I brought you boys up some dinner,” she said.
“Oh, you didn’t have to do that,” Patton said sweetly; for someone who always preached the virtues of truthfulness, he was an awfully good fibber. “I could have come down and gotten us something. I was actually thinking about it right before you knocked.”
“It was no trouble,” Patton’s mom said. “I brought chicken and noodle soup for Logan since he wasn’t feeling well.” She looked over at Logan and smiled softly. “How are you feeling, sweetie?”
“I’m doing better. Ms. Heart, thank you,” Logan said.
She pushed a small cart past Patton loaded with food then and brought it to his bedside. “I brought chicken and noodle soup, some bread and butter, and a few apples from the garden for you two. Do you want anything else?”
“No thank you, ma’am,” Logan said.
“This is great, Mama,” Patton said. “Thank you.” He seemed to be subtly angling to hurry her out of the door, but she did not leave right away.
“What did you two do today?” she asked.
“I mostly slept,” Logan lied. “And I read a bit.”
“I mostly just read too and helped Logan out.”
She continued to talk to them for a few more agonizing minutes before standing to leave. “Are you staying with Logan again tonight, sweetie?” she asked.
“Uh huh,” Patton said. “If that’s okay.”
“Of course,” she said. “I’ll come check on you both in the morning.”
They both smiled and nodded as she left the room. Patton slumped against the bed when she was gone. “Hiding an assassin in your closet is stressful,” he said.
“Indeed,” Logan agreed, sitting up in bed.
Patton got off the bed and went back over to the closet. “Sorry about that,” he said. Virgil was still sitting in the closet with the light in his lap. “But we have dinner! Want to come eat?”
He nodded immediately and crawled out of the closet. His bracelets vibrated slightly when he crossed the threshold and they shifted from the mode that let him move freely to the one that made him move slowly.
They split the dinner. Luckily, Patton’s mom always provided more than enough food so there was plenty for each of them. Virgil seemed content with all the food but seemed particularly fond of the apples. Between that and his reactions to the honey and pancakes, Logan wondered if he had a secret sweet tooth. After eating, Logan quickly finished up the other lights and worked on installing them as Patton went poking around in Logan’s other closet and drawers for something Virgil could wear for sleeping and possibly a change of clothing or two for future days.
“I’m going to go get some stuff from my room really quick,” Patton said once they’d found suitable clothing. He set the clothes in the closet next to the bed so Virgil could change in privacy later. “Will you two be okay?”
Logan hummed his assent, continuing to work on getting the lights in the exact right place.
Once he was satisfied, he motioned Virgil over. “These are your lights,” he explained. “You can control them with this panel I set up.” He pointed to it and then flicked through the four preset light settings. “You can also customize how much brightness you wish to have by waving your hand over the panel slowly.” He demonstrated. “You should be able to reach it fairly easily with your right hand when you are laying down.”
Virgil nodded and then tilted his head up so he could look at the lights on the ceiling. Logan had set them to 25% intensity. “It’s the sky,” Virgil said awed.
Logan smiled, please that he’d noticed. “It isn’t completely accurate, but I did my best, at least with the brighter ones.” Virgil looked over at him and for the first time, Logan thought he didn’t see any fear in his eyes. “Is it adequate?”
“It’s great,” he breathed. After that brief moment of calm, he seemed to remember himself, growing wary once again. The contrast between his usual countenance and the one from the moment before inexplicably saddened Logan.
“You must have watched the night sky many times if you can recognize it in a glance,” Logan said.
“Yeah,” Virgil said. “I did every night at the orphanage in the summer. There was a book on constellations that I found. The matron used to be willing to read me up to three of the names every night. I don’t remember them all, but I remember a few.”
“Which is your favorite?” Logan asked.
“I really liked the one of the Girl Who Sowed the Forest.”
“I made that one,” Logan said. He leaned over and fiddle with the panel a bit, causing most of the stars to dim except for a dozen.
Virgil smiled at it, and even held up a finger to trace the design of the girl with her basket.
“Do you know the myth behind that constellation?” Logan asked.
Virgil shook his head.
“It’s about a young girl,” Logan began, “who lived in a town at the edge of a forest. Her exact age varies in the retellings, but usually she is somewhere between 10 and 12 years old. She loved the surrounding forest and would spend hours in it some days picking berries, watching animals, and just exploring. One day, there was a fire. In some stories, a group of soldiers came through and set it; in other’s it was a god who was angry at them. Yet, in most it was a member of the village who was careless and accidently set their village on fire during the night. The village burned down, and the fire spread to the forest. It killed most of the people in the village and burned for weeks. Eventually, it was put out by a rainstorm. The girl was taken by the surviving members of her village somewhere else to finish growing in a less baren place. Years passed until she hit adulthood. Her people sent young men and women on soul searching trips when they came of age. She did not mean to return to her old village and the still destroyed forest, but she stumbled upon it anyway. She looked upon the landscape that had once been her home. The land had not healed since she had left. It was still all ruined and it made her heart ache. She decided then and there that she would take it upon herself to heal what had been broken. She remembered from her childhood what plants and trees used to grow there and went and found seeds from other places and people and brought them back to her home. She spent the rest of her life living in a house she built in her old village, planting seeds, and helping the forest grow once again. By the time her life came to an end, the forest was returning. They say when the trees of that forest finally grew tall enough, years after her passing, they themselves placed her image in the sky.”
“Wow,” Virgil said. “I didn’t know the myths were that complex.”
“I also enjoy watching the stars,” Logan said, “and constellations are good for navigation. I’ve found the stories people have made up about them more often than not are meant to help one navigate life.”
“Do you know others?” he asked tentatively.
“I do,” Logan confirmed. “Would you like to hear another?” He nodded, and Logan reached over to turn all of the stars back to 25%. “Which one would you like to hear about next?”
When Patton returned, he didn’t disturb their conversation. Instead, he just sat down silently next to Logan and listened to the stories.
Virgil started to droop part way through the third story, and Patton suggested he lay down. He tucked the boy in as Logan continued the story. Eventually he fell asleep, face lit lightly by the hanging stars.
“Okay,” Patton said when Logan ended the story and Virgil still didn’t stir.” I think it’s probably time for us to go to bed too. Logan nodded and they both stood. Logan quietly shut the closet door and checked the binding spell around the closet’s exit to make sure it would hold. Then, he and Patton got ready to go to sleep themselves.

7/11/20: reaches
For a while she was more likely than now to reach out going thru doorways. Many daily house moves take us through two. This seems a “wait a minute, where are we going” thing. I try to make sure she knows where we’re headed and why (sometimes she cares, sometimes not) to avoid sudden trip interruptions. I remind her that if I don’t expect the sudden move I might keep going and her arm would not. That would hurt.
Most frustrating is when we’re headed out the front door for the ramp (backwards going down) and she’ll reach and exclaim wait-a-minute, no --- or stop!. She often (not always) has a good reason or question at the moment, but it sure would have been easier to get the request/complain/observation before the screen was fixed open, coat/hat/gloves (in season) on and my mind already focused on keeping the chair going straight down the ramp. I have to work, did before this too, at listening more patiently and not judging the situation too quickly. Her thinking is such an unpredictable mix of wise and weird that snap judgments are always imprudent.
I had to learn, too, to watch out for the light switch reach. When I’m pushing her in her chair out of the kitchen, she often darts out a hand, often at the last minute, to turn off the light. It took a while for her to remember again that the kitchen ceiling light strip with LED bulbs has two switches, a dimmer and on off switch. She first reached only for the dimmer. If I consider asking her to get the light, I have to instinctively calculate now, given her limited turning/reaching radius, if she can reach it from wherever she’s sitting. Don’t want to ask her to do something that’s too frustrating. Note: she often reaches slowly for an intentional move, but her reflexes are mighty fast if we’re rolling a ball across a table to play catch and she has to stretch suddenly to keep it from going off the edge.
In a more benign mode, She has an instinctive chip reach. If I have a sandwich with some chips on my plate, I’ll expect to see a hand snaking across the table. No words, just the hand. There are things I want her to try to articulate, but this doesn’t have to be one of them. The move activated more consistently with tortilla than potato varieties.
This one’s a bit more complex --- the after dinner (main but not only time) sock discard. So far, it’s just the left. Sounds odd, but it’s harder for left shoulder and right leg reasons for her to get to the right as easily At times recently she’s gone just for the right one and settled for getting a tighter style sock just over and off the heel. And seemed satisfied with that. Hey, the movement/coordination is good therapy. And I can only ask her what-cha-doing-or-want so many times a day.

Rosa’s Most-Basic-of-Basic Gpose Tutorial
Hello, I’m Rosa! And I’m here to attempt to help those out there who are either new to using gpose, are confused/intimidated by it, or simply don’t know what gpose is.
To put it simply: gpose is short for Group Pose, a feature in FFXIV mainly used to change how your in-game screenshots look in various ways.
I’ve lost count how many times I’ve seen people either struggle with learning how to utilize gpose for nice screenshots, or even just straight-up never realize it’s a thing that exists in FFXIV to begin with. And it results in so much ‘I suck at this’, ‘I can’t take pretty pictures like you guys’, etc.
And I’m here like, ‘YES. Yes you can!’
I know there are bigger and better tutorials out there, but I want to offer what I can in the easiest-to-understand way possible, since gpose is incredibly fun to tinker and experiment with once you get the basics down.
For the record, I will not be using any Reshade filters or mods for this. This is all 100% FFXIV gpose.
This tutorial also only contains PC keybinds, since I’m a PC player. If you’re a PS4 player, I recommend searching up the appropriate binds for your needs!
So without further ado, let’s start at the beginning! Pretty pictures abound!
1. Open gpose.
Simply go to your chatbox, and type /gpose in there. Like so:
When you hit Enter, you’re now in what’s known as Camera Mode. This gives you more freedom to move the position of your camera than in regular game mode, and lets you access a handy-dandy control panel to fiddle with various settings. We’ll get to that in a moment.
(You can also access gpose in your Actions & Traits menu, found under Extras.)
If you used an emote, expression, or combat action before opening gpose, it will now be cycling over and over. The easiest way to reset this is to exit gpose, have your character /sit and then hop back up, and re-enter gpose.
If there is a certain emote/expression you want your character to be doing for your screenshot, you can do it before entering gpose OR access the list of emotes from the gpose control panel. Note that combat actions can only be performed before entering gpose.
2. Move the camera!
As mentioned, you can access a lot more camera angles now! Try using your W and S keys, for instance, and pull the camera way up..
Or down low!
Your A and D keys can also move the camera horizontally (left/right)!
First person also works in gpose, so hit your Home key to try it out!
3. The control panel, also known as Group Pose Settings.
It’s not visible when you open gpose, but it’s the key to using the feature to its fullest. Usually the default keybind to bring it up is R, but if that does nothing, hit the key/button that your Auto-Run is bound to. It’s bound to the same key.
There’s a lot of stuff here, I know. But it’s really not as scary and convoluted as it looks, and all the settings are labeled to give you an idea of what they do. I won’t go into every single setting; experimenting is half the fun, so don’t be afraid to press buttons and try things out! But I will point out the ones that will solve a lot of the ‘I don’t know how to do this’.
4. The Face Camera button.
This utilizes your character’s head-tracking; meaning that wherever you position your camera and toggle the button on (you’ll know it’s on by the border around the button), they will look at you!
You can also turn this on/off easily with the spacebar.
This toggle can be used in many ways to make your character look in a certain direction. Depending on what you have them doing, their whole body may turn during an emote/ability, or sometimes it’s just their eyes that move. It varies between emotes/actions.
5. Camera Position and Color Filter make a ton of difference alone.
The first slider for Camera Position allows you to zoom in and out a lot further than you normally can. (Try using your scroll function after adjusting the slider too!) This is how people get those nice close-ups!
The second slider is used to turn your view clockwise or counter-clockwise. This can also be done with the Q and E keys on your keyboard.
This slider is largely useful for artistic angles, and makes taking full-body shots a breeze!
Color Filter is just what it says! It’s a drop-down list, and there are many to choose from, so try ‘em out and see what you like! One I tend to favor is Bright 4, since it makes the colors far more vibrant.
6. Emotes and Expressions time!
Note the little running man icon on the left side of the controls, and click on it.
This will bring you to the Motion Settings panel. Here, you can:
Toggle your character walking/running/sprinting in place.
Access your emote window.
Toggle whether gpose picks up combat actions, or makes your character face someone you’re currently targetting outside gpose when the Face Camera button is off.
When you apply an emote, you can:
Pause/unpause your character’s animations using the Disable/Enable All Motion button up top (bound to your 1 key). This also applies to the animations of others around you if they’re on your Friends List/in your FC or Party. This is HIGHLY useful for easy rapidfire pauses to get that pose just right.
You can also use the button beside it, Disable/Enable Target Motion (bound to your 2 key) to adjust ONLY your character, or whoever you are currently controlling. If you have a friend with you, you can click on their character (or use the Tab key) and switch to their perspective!
But keep in mind, you cannot change someone else’s emotes/expressions.
Note that emotes and expressions can be applied at the same time! Try mixing and matching different ones together and see what kinds of poses you can create!
7. Light ‘er up!
The last thing I will touch on is lighting, which can be accessed by clicking on the lamp icon on the left.
Here we have Lighting Settings. And wouldn’t you know it, it turned to night-time when I briefly left gpose!
Moonlight is nice and all, but using gpose, we can use a maximum of 3 extra light sources to brighten things up a bit.
These buttons toggle each light source, which can be adjusted with the sliders below.
(Note that Lighting 1 can also be toggled with the lamp icon up top.)
The Types under each Lighting simply determine how big/bright that light’s radius is.
Type 1 is the smallest/dimmest and Type 3 is the largest/brightest.
Type 1 is ideal for lighting up just a small area, like around your character, and the other two will cover more of your character’s surroundings.
Each set of 3 sliders are simply the Red-Green-Blue values.
You can also choose where to put down your light sources, as well as how close or far they are by zooming in/out. So if we place one down on one side of Rosa..
And a slightly dimmer one on the other side..
Now we can see her lovely face again!
You can do a lot of neat things with lighting, and the effect will differ depending on things like your selected filter, location, weather, and time of day/night as well. It can completely change the mood of your environment, so experiment!
Or you can just torment your victim subject like me.
The possibilities are endless.
And those are what I consider the basics of gpose knowledge! There are other things to play with as well, but the majority of them are simply extras for personal preference. There’s no such thing as a ‘perfect’ way to do it, just play with things and see what strikes your fancy!
As another beloved redheaded lady says: Take chances, get messy, make mistakes!
And most importantly..
I hope this tutorial helps some of you in your screenshotting endeavors! Thank you for taking the time to read it! ❤

AOSON R102 10-Inch Android Tablet
(Android 6.0 Marshmallow, MTK8163A-B Quad Core, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal Storage, 10.1″ 1280x800 IPS Touch Screen, Dual Camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, with micro SD card slot)
SCREEN: Sharp, nice contrast, great color. Came with a screenguard pre-applied. Viewing angle is fine for two people watching a movie together. Touch responds smoothly.
BRIGHTNESS: This can go really bright. I actually use it most often on the dimmest setting (kinda wish it went a bit dimmer actually - but there's likely an app for that).
SOUND: Okay. It's really what you'd expect for a tablet. You can hear alright on wifi calls, but using a bluetooth headset better. For movies, you'll likely want to use headphones or a speaker.
BATTERY LIFE: Better than expected. The listing says "Average Battery Life: 5 hours" (and the seller told me 4 to 6 hours), but I am getting significantly LONGER than this. I think I'm averaging over 7 hours (which the battery monitoring app I installed agrees with, putting my average at 7 hours and 41 minutes). You can play games and watch entire movies, no problem. This would make a great tablet for entertainment on trips. I originally thought it was draining a lot while idle, but that turned out to be entirely my weather app widget. When I removed it, the drain was only 1% for 20 hours idle (with wifi and bluetooth on, not in airplane mode).
Here are some battery usage stats, all with wifi and bluetooth on:
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, VLC player, brightness at half, headphones = used 30%
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Prime Video, lowest brightness, headphones = used 17%
playing misc games for 1 hour = used 14%
30 minutes browsing play store and installing apps = used 4%
1 hour reading, Alreader on autoscroll = used 9%
STORAGE: Of the 16gb internal, 11.04gb is available. There is a card slot (under a pop-off panel on the back) which can take a 32gb micro SD card. Also, if you have a micro usb to regular usb adapter, you can plug flashdrives into the tablet. I have played movies from a flashdrive with no lagging or issues.
FILE TRANSFER: Just plug the tablet's usb cable into your computer, it will show up as aosonR102, and you'll see internal storage and your micro SD card. You can open these and drag and drop files. Super simple, same as transferring to/from a portable hard drive.

WIFI: Good. Setup was literally just selecting my wifi and putting in my password, and now it hops on automatically. It is very fast to connect. I can have the tablet on the complete opposite side of the house from my wifi router and it's still in range, going through a couple walls. The speed is able to stream movies. I've had no issues so far.
WIFI CALLS: Yep, just install something like Hangouts. You can call and text both ways using phone numbers. The tablet will ring just like a phone when somebody calls you.
BLUETOOTH: Good. Pairing devices is simple, and I can be in a different room down the hall with the door shut and my headset will still work perfectly. You can use things such as a keyboard and mouse with this. It's paired easily with everything I've tried so far.
CAMERAS: This is not the tablet for people who want to take serious photos with it. I know my sister takes all her baby photos with phones/tablets, and if you're wanting to do that, this is NOT the tablet for you. Photo quality is extremely poor (like ridiculously so). I don't mind this much myself because THIS IS A 10-INCH TABLET, and holding it up and using it as a camera is just plain awkward. You can use the camera for video chats, but it's certainly not ideal if that's your main reason for having the tablet. You'll be grainy and probably going off the edge of the screen unless you set the tablet on a stand and back up a fair amount due to the camera being in the corner.
HEAT: I'm mostly okay holding this in my hands or on my lap for hours. It can occasionally get somewhat uncomfortably warm in the upper, left corner, though. Just be sure to let that area of the back breathe. Don't prop it in a way that covers the entire back.
AMAZON PRIME VIDEO: Works fine with this. I installed the app with no issues and was playing a movie within minutes.
MOUSE: Yes, when you use a mouse with this, you do indeed get a functional pointer.
FIREWALL: Doesn't come with one installed, but I found a free one in the app store which works fine. Apps now only get access to the internet when I allow it.
CASES: Unfortunately, case selection seems to be limited to universal styles.
GOOD FOR:
watching videos (plenty of battery life for two or three full-length movies, although sound will likely need headphones or a bluetooth/wired speaker to be loud enough in quiet scenes)
looking at photos (nice, clear images - great for portfolios)
play store games (has worked fine with all the game apps I've tried so far, any lagging seems to be only in menus and not in actual game play - but I'm not a serious gamer, so I'll just remind you this tablet only has 1gb of ram and you should keep your expectations realistic)
wifi calls using Hangouts (I can have the tablet on the complete opposite side of the house from my wifi router, and then walk all over the house with a bluetooth headset without problems)
adult coloring books (the large screen makes this a lot more fun than on smaller tablets or phones)
reading
email
surfing internet (comes with Chrome browser installed)
calendar
BAD FOR:
taking photos (both cameras are unfortunately very poor)
video calls (you can do it, but again the camera is very poor and also positioned at the corner)
How to take a SCREENSHOT: Press Power and Volume Down together for about 2 seconds.
How to MAKE THE ONSCREEN KEYBOARD STOP VIBRATING AND MAKING A CLICKING NOISE WHENEVER YOU TYPE A LETTER: Settings/Personal/Language & input/keyboard & input methods/Android Keyboard (AOSP)/Preferences/uncheck Vibrate on keypress and Sound on keypress.
How to AUTO-ROTATE THE SCREEN ORIENTATION: Settings/System/Accessibility/check Auto-rotate screen. You can also find this in Settings/Display, and also by swiping down twice from the top of the screen to pull up that quick menu.
How to QUICKLY PUT THE PHONE ON SILENT OR AIRLINE MODE: Swipe down twice from the top of the screen. AUDIO PROFILES and AIRPLANE MODE are both here.
How to SCHEDULE SILENT HOURS: As far as I could find, there is no pre-installed app for this. I was able to easily find and download one, though. Then I used the app to set times for switching to silent mode (but keeping alarms enabled).
How to CHANGE THE WALLPAPER: Press and hold any blank spot on the Home page or other page. The Wallpapers and Widgets icons will appear.
How to add WIDGETS: Press and hold any blank spot on the Home page or other page. The Wallpapers and Widgets icons will appear.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: This is a good, low-cost tablet. I definitely like it. The quality (in regard to both feel and look) is satisfactory, plain but not cheap.
Since that was a long read, I’m going to put the Amazon product link and complete tablet specs again here at the bottom.
