100. Zorba the Greek by Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass debuted Dec 65 and peaked at number 11, scoring 793 points.

The Lonely Bull was their first chart entry, and the number 61 hit of 1962, peaking at number six. A Taste of Honey was the number 21 hit of 1965, peaking at number seven.

21. A Taste of Honey by Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass debuted Sep 65 and peaked at number seven, scoring 1177 points.

Herb was born in Los Angeles where he formed his group. He has 40 chart entries 1962-87. Five made the top 10, including two number ones - This Guy's in Love with You (his only vocal, 1968) and Rise (1979).

The song won the Grammy for Record of the Year.

Martin Denny, The Victor Feldman Quartet, and Tony Bennett charted the movie theme 1962-64, but none made the top 40. The Beatles also recorded it in 1964, as an album track, with Paul McCartney on lead vocal.
