Sometimes I fast travel to a place, and when the screen fades in I'm struck by the beauty of the light and get all snap happy. This was one of those times.

Decided to take another look at Tenakth settlements again tonight, this time focusing more on the different colors you’ll see throughout. A lot of tribes often have a handful of colors seen throughout all of their settlements. This is not quite true for the Tenakth. Here I’ve gotten photos of the main gates that lead into The Memorial Grove, Thornmarsh, and Scalding Spear. Just these are able to show off the main color scheme for each settlement. I believe this choice to have different colors has to do with the fact that the Tenakth are split into separate clans, which are all in different locations. While the different colors are a good way to tell the different clans apart, it also probably has to do with the fact that they have access to different plants to make dyes from due to the different environments

MUSIC HZD VS HFW

Ok having played them back to back and then back again I have to say as much as I love the music in HFW, the music for HZD was SO MUCH more haunting and at times more energy inducing.

I really wish they'd carried over more of the Leitmotifs developed for HZD.

Imagine hunting those stalkers that were attacking the Oseram camp near Thornmarsh or the Tremourtusk in the Bulwark mission with "To the Hunt!" ringing in your ears (because honestly that piece would SO suit the Tenakth), or a faint reprise of "Motherland" when Varl mentions the Sacred Lands (or when Zo mentions his grave facing east towards his home.

When it comes to "To the Hunt" I also don't know why that didn't feature in the Hunting Trials for HFW either. I REALLY missed it.

I don’t know if anyone will know what this means BUT I got the enduring trophy on hfw tonight even got through the touchy challenges in thornmarsh and narrowly avoided getting my ass handed to me by tenakth grandma

I meandered down towards my meeting with Talanah near the Lowland Clan capital of Thornmarsh, for her quest Need to Know.

I kept passing these sculptures that looked like versions of scarecrows or effigies of machines... They were intimidating and kind of creepy!

As i neared the settlement i saw machines hanging from traps. Also creepy lol

Aloy, enjoying Tenakth hospitality in Fall's Edge and Thornmarsh, yawning in the morning on a spiky balcony, enjoying the last rays of the sun on the platform of a high dwelling… How do the Tenakths access those anyway ? They can't fly as far as I know. I wanna visit the high-perch condos ! (she says when she obviously actually did it) (but like, i want easy access, not having to calibrate sunwing-shieldwing-jumps combos to get there)
