Un-Barbie-dolls your Guardians-

I'm a big fan of the Four Guardians - I think they have honestly incredible character designs that have just enough detail in the right places to stand out without being too busy, and I wouldn't change a thing about them - but I thought it would be fun to try reshaping them as a bit of an exercise. It took a little while to decide what shape to go for with each, but this is the logic I landed on:

Leviathan: It's in the name. She's a leviathan, so she gets to be huge - I'm thinking 7 feet or taller. A little deep sea gigantism, if you will. If she and Fefnir were the ones tasked with keeping that big ol' Omega at bay at the beginning of Z3, I wanna see them both have the muscle to make it believable! (Plus big woman make brain go ook ook)

Harpuia: All that darting around during his boss fight in Z1 made me think of a hummingbird...so I decided to go for a shorter build. Maybe even a whole head shorter than Zero. Tiny target, high manuverability.

Phantom: Something unsettling and long and not quite right. Like Slenderman. Since he can teleport, it's not like he has to worry about his size making him easy to hit.

Fefnir: Well, he's got a strong dragon motif going, so let's give him some size...and some BEEF. He could lift all the other guardians at once and he probably lets them know it constantly.

Overall I wanted to give everyone a bit more of a distinct size and presence. The Guardians always seemed like such deadly foes, and I tried my best make them look like they'd be a deadly challenge. Maybe I'll take another stab at them soon!

thinking about how the four guardian's major colour themes all reflect their own character personalities well.

his primary colour is green. green is often associated with peace, nature, new beginnings, life, gentleness, renewal, and growth. this suits his character extensively; he is one of the biggest examples of growth in the series, by going from being intensely loyal to copy x to rebelling for proper justice. he even showed mercy to zero in the beginning of z2 instead of taking the opportunity to quickly and easily kill him, setting down the basis for his more peaceful ideals. not to mention his first name being sage, a shade of green.

fefnir

his primary colour is red. red is often associated with harshness, danger, passion, intensity, and courage. fefnir has repeatedly displayed a passion for fighting (zero specifically). he's not afraid to do the hard work, even if he doesn't want to (such as dropping the bomb at the resistance base). it shows he has strong courage and harshness.

levithan

her primary colour is blue. blue is associated with wisdom, sincerity, imagination, loyalty, enthusiasm, and sadness. much like the others, she is extremely loyal to copy x. she's also very sincere, with her blatant honestly with her desire to kill zero and how fighting him feels better than fighting others (specifically omega). i find her personality slightly contrasts her colour themes, but they fit with her preference to be aquatic.

phantom

his primary colour is black. this is often associated with death, power, restraint, grief, and elegance. phantom was very extreme when it came to his goals, with him even being the first to die for the sake of neo arcadia. he was merciless and powerful and fought zero with the quickest approach of the four. he initially held proper restraint as well, taking precaution before fighting zero, unlike fefnir and levithan.

overall

they all wear white under their main armour, the colour often associated with purity. it's a reminder that they were created for the aid of settling humans initially, despite where things evolved.

the four of their personalities as well as their elements mesh very well with the colour of their armours. it's a good example of the attention to detail that makes me love mmz so much.

A little family stroll through the Venetian in Las Vegas.

I actually got to visit Vegas for a few days. We did so much in that amount of time it felt longer.

Just gotta say: if you are able, check out the Arte Museum. It is amazing and totally worth it to pay extra for the refreshments. The tea is so good!

16 March 2023 is the day our next fanart animatic published in Youtube (link above). English dub version of "Ciel's Memory: The Big Four" drama track from Remastered Tracks Rockman Zero, "The Formidable Four".

After "What Comes Before" PreMMZX fanart animatic, I decided to make next animatic shorter than before due to fulltime job. For starters, I pick The Big Four not only I love The Four Guardians, but also this is an intro to them, hence an intro to new VAs for them, and intro to learning how to casting and working together in small group project. It's intimidating, but it comes to fruition.

Big thanks to Luna Love who helped me how the casting and voice acting world in general navigate; which she is the returning voice as Ciel in here!

And another big thanks to Percy Davis (Fefnir), Thea-Solone (Leviathan), and DangwooVA (Phantom)! They did tremendous job as the characters!
