On Saturday, me and @naginarf completed one of the hardest challenges so far, to raise money for @pilgrimshospices . My last day sumitting Mt. Kilimanjaro wasn't easy but I managed to do it. (Willpower & positive mindset & lots of 🙏🙏🙏🙏). I was not feeling well even before the trip kicked off and as we climbed higher the altitude messed me up, I even had altitude sickness for the 1st time but thankfully this happened after kissing uhuru peak on my way back. I owe it to my guide who kept saying "Let's do it POLEPOLE😂😂" & for sure the pole pole walk paid off. This is one of the most difficult hikes we’ve encountered but if you are up to the challenge, it is absolutely worth it. We visited in the fall and it was on the dry side but with all the rain we’ve had lately all the waterfalls (12+) should be flowing fully. This place really does have waterfalls for day. Incredible experience!

Amazing trip. Jesus was the best guide, calm, encouraging through the tough bits. The organisation was amazing. I felt so lucky to be in such a small group, it was a really personal experience and made it a really good experience. Special mentions to Mario, our chef who not only walked (ran) everything we did, but then still cooked us 3 meals a day with a smile on his face, and tea delivered to bed every morning.

I had a problem with my foot, so my friend and I rode Walter's horses over the Salkantay pass which whilst definitely cheating was an incredible experience. Pancho and Chatto, Walter's horse and dog, were incredible, and Walter spent time chatting to me and trying to teach me about his culture and language. I actually felt pretty sad to see them leave us on the third day. These guys are incredible and work so hard.

We split from our group the third day as we only did a 4 day 3 night Salkantay trek, so went off with Dani who organized us and looked after us. Took him out for dinner and a few drinks in aguas calientes which was fun, despite our language barrier.

All in all, an absolutely amazing experience. Jesus' knowledge is second to none. He made it fun without being patronizing. It's something I will never forget and I can't recommend these guys enough. Feeling quite emotional on the train back to Cuzco writing this, so thanks guys, so much. Experience of a lifetime.
