On teachers teaching me beyond the time I knew them:

A new realization, I love that my city is in constant evolution.

Yesterday, we were a different people,

and tomorrow we will be new too.

This is something characteristic of us Austinites. We have this desire to continue evolving, to embrace change, even when unwelcome. There is a consciousness among those who have watched the last few decades, no matter how far back, witnessing rapid change and still finding a way to love life, even when the hillcountry gets swallowed by the ravenous hum of the city. It's heartbreaking, and yet the ones who come change the city's music and colors, morphing and stirring, we cannot deny that it shapes us all. And the choice to dance is something we share, even when we leave.

The results are in and I'm stoked. The L-110 did a great job. Next roll will be FP4 Plus 125 through a camera with a little more control, exposure-wise.

Mixing small batches of developer will definitely make me feel less guilty about not shooting film on a regular basis!

Building community is my jam (one of them), and in talking to people at the @gtx_photofest I realized that our local area could benefit from a group specifically for film folks ( by film I include alt & historical processes, anything light sensitive in that way). I’ve had two people say they’re interested, and where two or more are gathered in silver gelatin’s name, there the spirits of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston are also - so this is enough for me to throw it out there.
