Navratri Colours 2022: Navratri is a Hindu festival that is celebrated twice a year in the country – during the month of Chaitra (March-April) and Sharada (October-November). The word Navratri means nine nights in Sanskrit and is a festival that spans nine days in both these months. For these nine days, nine Navratri colours are designated, each with its own Navratri colour significance.
Navratri is celebrated in different ways in different parts of the country. However, the triumph of the Hindu goddess Kali or Durga is the basic idea behind the Navratri celebration. Navratri is loved and cherished by countless women across the country, who fast, prepare special foods and beverages during Navratri at home. They dress up and visit friends and family all through these 9 days of Navratri celebration at home.
Here are the 9 colours of Navratri that you should know about:
Day 1 – WHITE
Day 2 –  RED
Day 3 –  ROYAL BLUE
Day 4 – YELLOW
Day 5 –  GREEN
Day 6 –  GREY
Day 7 –  ORANGE
Day 8 –  PEACOCK GREEN
Day 9 –  PINK
Significance of the colours
WHITE is synonymous with purity & innocence.
RED symbolises passion & love.
