We need more chavs, is there a factory to make them?

2028: The use of artificial intelligence has eliminated vast numbers of well-paid jobs. Tax consultants, defense lawyers, radiologists… All of them were suddenly out on the street, completely unprepared for this new situation. Thanks to the gushing tax revenues of the tech giants that are increasingly dominating the planet, the government had the financial means and the technical possibilities to better familiarize the new mass of unemployed with their situation. In large institutions, the men were better prepared for their future as street cleaners, supermarket assistants or welfare recipients in order to better meet the new requirements.

The results of the morning shift leave the factory floor. Instead of thinking about their lost future, they are constantly horny and edging, their hands almost permanently in the pockets of their training pants.

Now they are on their way to delivery, where they are supplied with fake Gucci hipbags and an initial supply of fags and lighters. When they go back to their council apartments or the dormitories of the homeless shelters tonight, they will wank themselves to sleep with satisfaction.

Dienstag: Auf nach Nikko!

Nach dem Auschecken machen wir uns auf den Weg nach Shinjuku Station, dem Bahnhof mit dem höchsten Passagierumsatz der Welt - 3,5 Millionen Menschen gehen hier jeden Tag ein und aus. Wir wollen uns einen JR Rail Pass kaufen, mit dem wir zwei Wochen lang quasi zum Flatrate-Preis die meisten Bahnlinien durchs ganze Land fahren können. Zwar müssen wir für den Pass etwa 350€ hinblättern, allerdings kostet bereits eine Reise von Tokio nach Kyoto mit dem Schnellzug etwa die Hälfte, und da wir die nächsten zwei Wochen viel rumreisen möchten, lohnt sich das für uns allemal. Der Weg zum Ticket ist anstrengend, denn es herrschen die gewohnte Hitze und Luftfeuchtigkeit, dazu sind wir mit großem Backpack, kleinem Rucksack und Hipbag für Wertsachen voll ausgerüstet. Außerdem haben wir zwei Regenschirme dabei. *

Nach etlichen Metern innerhalb der riesigen Station und einer Hilfestellung aus dem Tourist Information Center (der einzige Anlaufpunkt, wo hier mit 95%iger Wahrscheinlichkeit jemand Englisch spricht) finden wir den Ticketschalter und bekommen das begehrte Ticket - interessanterweise trotz seines hohen Wertes nur ein kleiner Fetzen Papier. Egal. Auf geht's nach Nikko, zwei Stunden nordwestlich von Tokio, es warten Natur, Nationalparks und Tempelanlagen!

Wir fahren zunächst Shinkansen, einen Schnellzug. Hier sind alle Sitzplätze fest zugewiesen und es ist sehr komfortabel mit super viel Beinfreiheit. Hier packen selbst die in der Öffentlichkeit sonst so reservierten und geordneten Japaner ein Bier und ihre Bento-Boxen aus. Leider müssen wir nach 45 Minuten schon wieder umsteigen. Was folgt sind drei Mal Milchkannenexpress (alle super ausgeschildert, super sauber und minutiös pünktlich!), bis wir schließlich an unserer Endhaltestelle ankommen. Dort regnet es in Strömen, aber die Umgebung ist wunderschön - hohe nebelverhangene Berge, nur wenig Häuser, Reisfelder. Wir laufen, als der Regen nachlässt, 800m zu unserem Hostel. Dies entpuppt sich als Glücksgriff. Schon am Eingang muss man die Schuhe in einem Schrank verstauen und gegen bereitgestellte und desinfizierte Slipper tauschen. Dadurch ist das ganze Haus super sauber und auch ruhig. Unser Zimmer hat luxuriöse 19qm und ist sehr gemütlich. Außerdem gibt es eine neue, blitzsaubere und großzügige Küche mit mehreren Kochstellen und Spülbecken, und einen großen Aufenthaltsraum mit Tischen, Sofas und Hängematte.

Da der ganze Tag zum Reisen draufgegangen ist, schaffen wir es nur noch zum Supermarkt. Dort gibt es so spät am Abend stark reduzierte Nudeln und Obst, und wir decken uns für Abendessen und Frühstück ein.

*die Story mit dem Regenschirm... Am Sonntag, auf dem Weg vom Mittagessen nach Akihabara, wurden wir von einem heftigen Regenguss überrascht. Wir stellten uns vor einem Laden, der geschlossen hatte und dessen Rolladen zu 3/4 zu war, unter und warteten. Plötzlich schoben sich von unten die Spitzen zweier Regenschirme unter dem Rolladen hervor in meine Richtung. Torben und ich dachten beide, da will uns jemand verjagen und es gibt Ärger, weil wir vor dem Laden standen. Aber dann kam unter dem Rollladen eine kleine Japanerin zum Vorschein, gestikulierte wild und lachte. Sie bedeutete uns, dass sie die Regenschirme nicht wiederhaben wollte. Seit dieser süßen Spontanbegegnung haben wir nun zwei Regenschirme. :))

The lecture was boring. Boring as hell. Linear algebra. Who came up with that shit. You need a cigarette first. But there's none in your Barbour jacket. And there's none in your college folder either. Fucking stuffy outfit. At least you found some coins and you can get a pack of cigarettes. Shit, you forgot a lighter or matches. But next to the math faculty, some construction workers are taking a smoke break, so you can ask them for a light.

You strike up a conversation with one of the construction workers. Whether you are also one of the snobs who study economics here. You want to say that business students are not real scientists and that only mathematics is the real true science. But somehow you are ashamed of your IQ of 140 and that you always have good grades. And that's why you answer "no, mate! i'm doin' an apprenticeship in the cafeteria kitchen." "thank god, i thought ya were a fuckin' genius or somethin'. I mean, ha old are ya, mate? nineteen?" "hell, i just turned eighteen. Ya want anutha smoke, mate?"

You take the pack of cigarettes out of your hipbag. You smoke another one, then you have to rush off to your shift. The damn students are going to storm the cafeteria in two hours, until then you have a lot of potatoes to peel and cutlets to fry.

Finally, it's quitting time. The stoves are cleaned, the pots are scrubbed. Now for a cigarette. Shit, it's snowed again. You hate the winter. If you only had a cool Moncler jacket… But they are damn expensive. So you have to shiver while waiting for the bus. But tomorrow evening you meet with your mates, maybe one of them can organize a jacket that fell off the truck.
