Listen yeah okay. Alastair was mean at school. True enough, I don't care, I think he was funny, but it's true. I just wish that those who were mad at him cited "partially responsible for a prank that resulted in a student dying" rather than "called our friend Goatface" as the reason they didn't like him. Because that way they'd have, like, actual valid ground to stand on

another day another person on this website calling a PJO character toxic or saying they have a "red flag" for a trait that is largely normal to the human experience. i'll never understand when people have criticism of a character that boils down to "they aren't a perfect person and therefore I don't support them". And it's usually only female characters that people nitpick like that about?
I DUNNO maybe i'm just rubbed the wrong way by some people taking a totally normal teenager thing like gossiping, or arguing with your friends, or having nicknames, and saying that it's a red flag because the character is meant to be a hero/protagonist.

Continuing from my previous post, but I honestly thought that when Michael learned of Willow's leukemia diagnosis, he'd delay this plan to "take Sonny down" with Dex indefinitely to be there for his wife and family.
He doesn't even have to tell Dex that Willow is terminally ill, he can just claim that with her advancing to the later months of her pregnancy, he doesn't want to be away from her side too long. You know, show that Michael loves Willow more than he hates Sonny.
Maybe the more he focuses on his family, the more he realizes how much better it feels to not be obsessed with petty revenge and does what I've been advocating him to do since he started this whole mess--focus on his family and move on from his complicated and flawed father.
He could approach Dex and tell him that this whole thing is over, pay him like quadruple what he gets paid, sincerely apologize for the pain Dex went through because of him, and implore him to leave Sonny's mob and get out to find much better life. Only to be bewildered when he later discovers Dex is still doing Sonny's work because it isn't just Michael that Dex is working with to dismantle Sonny's organization.
Buuuuut no. He's still gonna act like a spoiled child and go for it when even Dex warned him "I dunno about the Pikeman angle, dude." and if he does get his dad arrested truly, I hope the Pikeman Service destroys him first.

i've been rewatching lil indigestion's outer wilds playthrough, and i still think it's my favorite out of the many i've watched. at the same time, though, i absolutely cannot recommend his playthrough of the dlc to others in good conscience. outer wilds is a game where the order you go in doesn't matter, EXCEPT for parts of the dlc. and lil indigestion plays the dlc soooo out of order. he still enjoys it overall (and there are some really satisfying moments of realization/understanding), but there's so many other parts of the dlc where he (unintentionally) skips entire sections that are meant to lead him to other sections, as well as other parts where he gets pretty needlessly frustrated by trying to brute force innocuous things as opposed to just following where the game's story leads.
