Third time seeing Joe Hisaishi, but I still get chills like it's my first.

sometimes you just gotta sit in your room and watch ghibli movies as you feel your heart overflowing with love for the little but overwhelmingly beautiful things this life can give us

Something I haven't seen people mention when talking about The Boy and the Heron, but is something I'm very obsessed with is the score. All of it is beautiful, but I just love how they used the Herons motif. It grows from a single note into a full song over the first chapter of the movie and its just so good.

Honestly the soundtrack is a beautiful story in its own right.
