It’s been a long time in between posts, but I needed someone to talk to!

If you’re like me, you can spot a lie a mile away. I think, for me, it comes with my profession. Right or wrong, I am naturally suspect of people because as an Auditor, I see/hear people lying every day. Not being cynical, but it’s true! People lie when they get in a tough spot. People lie when they think they will get in trouble. People lie when they believe the worst of others and try to make themselves look good. The problem with lying is that it becomes increasingly difficult to keep your stories straight whilst you try desperately to cover your tracks. Throw them a bone, something to cling to, they’ll be none the wiser…..or so they think! But more importantly than trying to fool each other, you CANT FOOL GOD! HE KNOWS everything you do and can SEE what you TRY so hard to cover up! Let’s try something life changing! Let our yes be yes and our no be no! Let us KEEP our word so it can be depended on instead of questioned at every turn! Let’s suppose the good in someone instead of believing the worst. Let’s give everything over to the ONLY ONE who can change your situation and ALLOW HIM to change us from the inside out! Do you need deliverance from lying? Are you in over your head in a certain situation and you can’t remember whom you told what to?

I try to be loving even when they are unloveable. I try not to take offense. I try not to think the worst, knowing they are not the enemy! There IS an enemy and his name is Satan! He’s the evil one. He’s the schemer…..he’s the one who is deceiving my loved one into believing lies and in turn, they have become someone I don’t know. BUT GOD! HE has a plan and HE loves us more than we can imagine. I cling to HIM with every part of my being. I knew someone who used to do the same. I miss them.

Travelogue sketchbook page of the flight leaving our little airport. I'm not a huge fan of flying especially on small planes. It was early morning when we took off in the dark and I was white knuckled and saying plenty of prayers for this trip would be wonderful with no issues and that my girls back home would be safe. I opened the shade a little bit and caught the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen.
