tbh im not nearly as much of a murray gold stan as i thought i was. like i really thought i was a murray gold only stan but i think it was just that i didnt love 13's era (not to say i hated it! it just wasnt my favorite) and bc, like, something about the music from it meant it wasn't as interesting to me. hmm. if i had to guess, its just that there wasn't as much consistency in the leitmotifs. obviously there are some that i would recognize but segun akinola DID state that he wanted to refresh the music of dw, iirc. so those two things mean that that era (which i've only watched the one time, for the most part) didn't stand out to me as much as the music from a) the TV movie which ive seen about a billion times, b) DW redacted which ive listened to twice or thrice now and has a couple of really consistent themes, c) the bad wolf theme at some point having popped up in all three of the (main) spinoffs, d) torchwood's music also having been composed by murray gold meaning that any of the music is basically free to have shown up in dw, and e) the really very very consistent major themes of torchwood (the torchwood theme, captain jack's theme) and sja (the tragedy theme, mr smith's music) etc.

also, it's become pretty clear to me that i am very very very familiar with the music of 12 era and 9/10 era, but NOT 11 era, which i am probably the least interested in of all the time murray gold spent composing for the show, so there IS precedent for me not knowing the music as well of a part of the show that im not really invested in

ahh i havent sent anything in a while but i just wanted to let you know that im very much present on your blog and reading every single ask you answer !! i also read the last star lost update and in all honesty among all the aus and books ive read in my life (and ive read a lot) this is my absolute favourite!!

i’ll try to comment on the chapter a bit more detailed once my semester is over and im on a break but !! as always the way you write hyunjin and yn is amazing 🥺 actually while im at it lemme comment on the chapter as a whole lmao

despite the whole situation and general (hyunjin and hana, hyunjin and yn, felix and yn etc etc) i just wanted to say that the whole friendship dynamic is really cute and fun to read 🥺 i love it a lot (despite the whole hana situation) also hyunjin and yn are just sooo cute together and i love their convos a lot but i feel so bad for felix 😭 (also him interrupting every time theres a ‘moment’ 👀 pretty sure hes doing that for his own sake hehe) guess we’ll have to see how that plays out… but also excited for more yn and felix interaction especially on his bday party but also the whole chocolate making thing…

also yeonjun 😳 you mentioned he’d appear in the au but i didnt expect it so soon (and the convo him hyune and yn had was very insightful to say the least; poor yeonjun, hes such a nice guy 🥺) omg im really excited for when yn and hana actually get to have a real talk about the whole situation especially after her and hyunjin called things off for now (which im not too excited about even though i wanted it to happen, but i cant help but feel like this is just the calm before the storm (and its not like hyune and yn will just suddenly be able to date each other 😭))

hmm what else… if i could i would comment on every single dialogue but i have to get back to studying 😭 but also yn sleeping on hyune in the train reminded me of only fools 😭 and all the tiny things like the streusel bread shjdjdjd youre such a great writer 🥺 and just the whole scene at the end was just adorable i love star lost so much 🥺 but as previously mentioned, i cant help but think of this as the calm before the storm but that depends on your plans for the future chapters 😵‍💫

Oh, I see we're talking about tv shows/dramas. I can recommend you "hello my twenties" also known as "age of youth". It's not gay (i mean there is a lesbian kiss at one point and a lot of potential gone to waste) but it's about female friendship and I'M A SUCKER FOR FEMALE FRIENDSHIPS so i really enjoyed it. The actress from minari, han yeri, acts in it and her character was probably my favourite (as well as jiwon). It's a very fun and fresh show, i really liked it and it's on netflix.

As for lesbian kdramas, i haven't watched any cause there really isn't much that goes beyond subtext :( but i do remember watching a japanese show that's on netflix called "re:mind". It's about high school girls, but the plot is quite interesting tho it can be kind of boring maybe seeing them always in the same place. Later, I found out they are all part of a girlgroup haha imagine if twice did something like that! (I would love to see them acting apart from ttt)

Also!! Twice comeback!! I still don't understand why there are two release dates👀 but i'm so excited (even if the teaser pictures look as if they were made with picsart haha, division 3 back at it again i guess)

Do you watch the episodes when they air? usually not being a brit who doesnt have hbo  i watch like a day or two later when it airs on sky Atlantic  or on now  tv the first three i watched on dvd from a friend who had the boxset it was when we were sharing a house walked in  the logue one  Morning and she watching it and its that bit where the mountain cuts off the horses head and im like what the hell are you watching ?? i just woke up i wasnt expecting violence this early in the morning ? and then sat down and watched it with her and im like and watched the whole rest of season   one and im like what the hell is this show  ??  ....is there more ?? btw my brother said he got half way through season one and said it  was boring im like season ones the best ?? and hes like oh i dont enjoy  historical drama im not interested in medieval history and im like face palm he thinks this is historical and he also doesnt like history wtf i mean  how am  i related to this fool but yeah thats tangent  and i told him get to ep nine so he could see ned stark beheading he said maybe but if i agreed to watch stranger things with him lol :/

Do you rewatch it from season one? ive re watched all the way  it through a few times but usually would only watch my fav episodes ive seen the red wedding so many times though because wed always watch it with some friend whos just getting into and hasnt seen that one yet so we can see their reaction

Omg please post more stories with you and your fiancé! Since I'm chubby and have my own problems, these stories are really giving me some hope that I will find that special guy when I never thought I could...

Okay! I love all of these, dont get me wrong, but some of these are sad ones. BUT FEAR NOT! I have a story that made me realize he didnt care about my chubbiness, and that he actually kinda liked it. You WILL find the guy of your dreams, dont you worry! He may not come in on a white horse but he is out there, trust me! THIS IS A TWO PART STORY

Part one:

April 29th, 2014 - 

It was my birthday, i turned 19, we had been together for about a year and a few months. He now was on a break type thing from school, and had no games coming up. THIS MEANT A DATE AWAY FROM HOME! I was expecting him to take me to a park, or too go to a restaurant. Nope. He pulls out this jar, and i didnt understand what it was for at first. He hands it to me, and asks me to open it. What i found inside was literally that it had been stuffed with 20$ bills. TO THE RIM. 

“What is this?” I asked, a little taken aback by the amount of cash i have never seen all in one place before. “Its a Wish Granters Jar.” He smiled, and proceeded to tell me what they were. His family has a tradition for birthdays and for loved ones, that we kinda have too, but its lets elaborate. To explain it simply, you every time you have a wish, or a thought of doing something for someone, you write it down and stick it in another jar. When you complete it, or are looking for something to do, you pull one out and do it. BUT, every time you complete a paper wish, you put 20$ in the original jar. Most people will throw change or bills in a jar to save for vacations, but its not as special. 

I laughed a little, “What am i supposed to do with this?” He could tell that i didnt quite get what it was for at the time “Its your present from me! You can do whatever you want with it. Shopping, pay bills, go to disney world, the options are endless!” “You… are giving me a jar of money for my birthday?! I cant accept this! there is at least a thousand dollars in here Matthew.” I tried to give it back, but he was stone faced, Looking back at me with very direct eyes “You are going to take it. Ive been saving up slowly for you all year and i want to treat you out. I dont care if you give it all to a homeless person, im just NOT going to accept it back.” his words were firm, and i knew that he was only trying to get me to not feel guilty about taking all of it.

“Okay, what do you..” “Its your birthday, thats the point. I thought we could go somewhere where you normally wouldn’t be able to afford to shop there. Like the mall, or somewhere fancy?” I could see on his face that he was slightly irritated. i didnt blame him, i was basicly attempting to refuse something he pours heart and time into conjuring up for me and just really didnt want to me to feel bad about it. This was nearly like a Engagement ring, or a profound act of love in his family. My teen stupid ass just didnt understand this. Its was okay, all things get learned with time. 

“Okay!” I tried to lighten the mood but just picking something, and going with it. “Do you know how much is in here? So i know what kind of budget i have to work with?” He shook his head, calming down a bit. 

(Im going to cut in here to ask Matthew about why he was mad because its better from him, im my opinion. “Can i ask you about the wish granting jars?” “oh, those jars i made for you every year for your birthday?”“Yeah, i wanted to know why they were special. You got a bit salty the first time.”“I was more mad at myself for not clearly stating what it was, and my pride for just making you accept it without knowing as a gift was clouding my mind. I was just like ‘Accept it, accept it, Please just take it come on now. dont be like this, dont be to shy to do this, this isent even the beginning’ Because i knew once you learned how much was in there, you would have flipped the fuck out.” *he points to the 3 he has going at the moment on the shelf* “They are a gift of love. Completing the wishes in them is so satisfying. its like a thought of “Would i pay to be this happy again?” if yes, put the money in. If not, then why are you doing this. So you slip the money in every time you make them happy, so you can make thing happy more when you present it to them every year.” “Thats really thoughtful!”“I know right? And my salty ass had to be mad because i didnt want to tell you it was a sign of familial love.”“Familial love?”“Yeah, it was something you only do for people you want to join your family, or are already apart of it. So, it would have been akward for me to tell you on your 19th birthday that i was giving you a gift that basicly says “MARRY ME NOW” in big ass letters. It was a common gift to give to your future wife.” “Awwww….. Wow…. So the babies jars are also under the Familial love clause. i get it hahaha thats actually really awkward for back then so im kinda glad you didnt.” )

“No, because its more tempting to spend if you know, so i never counted. Where do you want to go?” He took my hand and started walking to the car. “Hmm i think the mall, we could afford a new tv and some game systems with this!” “Dont spend the money on me.” “Fine, i will buy all of this just for my room!” I had my separate room in our house until i was 20. Mainly because no matter how much i love him, i needed a place to recharge. hes very outgoing and im introverted and in order for me to keep up i gotta go read in a quiet place or just play video games with my headphones on. The rule was that i could go in his room whenever (we slept together a lot, but it provided me with a bed if i didnt want to, or was to sick) but he had to ask or knock for permission to enter mine. 

It wasent a thing where i wanted to be away from his, i just got overwhelmed really easy back then and it provided me with a comfy area to just sprawl out and.. well recharge. “I could always use a awesome set up in there, i would never leave!” I laughed, and got a scrunched face in return. “Maybe not, i want to be able to see you and thats a sure fire way to never have contact with you again.” We reached the mall in a little under 20 min, and spent the whole day moving around each store, him handsomely carting anything i wasent fully already attached too. (my stuff from hot topic never touched his hands i love that store.)
