Despite Ash having no affinity with parties, the Wexley however loves them. Having avoided as many as he could in his years here, as many as his friends would let him anyways, guess it's much harder to avoid them once you're actually stuck in the building with literally nowhere to go. And it felt rude to not be here when it's a celebration for someone's birthday, especially Mr Wexley's. He knows he's not fun at parties and didn't want to bring it down for anyone. So instead, he found himself offering Charlie his help, not wanting her working any harder than she already is with not many people knowing of her situation, now standing behind the bar serving people drinks and watching the party go by from the sidelines.

Perhaps there was something about seeing families, friends, lovers, reunited since Spring hit, now altogether in one place here with a heartfelt warmth that filled the room, that an unfounded weight sank in his chest. Or perhaps it's the barrier of a bar counter and physical separation that made it more apparent of what he avoided feeling, but damn, he didn't like admitting that he felt lonely for the first time in a long time, and there was a guilt in feeling that, considering how lucky he's been. Ash was leaning back against the wall behind the bar, lost in his thoughts with a beer in his hand (knowing he's not in the right headspace for anything stronger) as his eyes glazed over the scenes passing by him at the bar and atrium until he realized someone had come up to him while he was spacing out, "-sorry, what can I get you?"

It had been a long break over the holidays for Enzo, and he was pretty disappointed he'd missed Christmas and New Year festivities at Krovs -- and also his birthday on Christmas Eve -- but there had been some shit back home he needed to take care of. He was back now though, refreshed and ready to do his job again, but had decided to take a couple of days to get back into the swing of things.

Having just woke up, Lorenzo looked at whoever was in bed next to him and smirked a little -- he didn't usually spend the night with whoever he had sex with, but apparently they had worn each other out. Getting out of bed, Enzo got himself sorted in the ensuite bathroom before heading back through to see if his guest was conscious. "Morning, sunshine."

His break from the castle with Gareth had been much needed after so long in the same place -- years, in fact. Stir crazy had been an understatement. Their holiday had gone far too quickly and now it was back to somewhat normality. Bradley felt refreshed, but he had no idea how long that would last for considering he was now leaning against a wall and just staring into space while he got lost in his own thoughts. The faerie hadn't really realised he'd been staring at someone until it had been long enough to come across as a bit creepy. "Fuck, sorry, didn't mean to stare-- I swear I'm not some weirdo," he apologised quickly.

After graduating from Jingliu’s tutelage, Jing Yuan has become a bit… lazy. And much, much more mischievous. That’s why the man sneaks into Baiheng’s place, certain that the other members of the Quintet aren’t nearby anymore. Dan Feng has a meeting with Teng Xiao, Yingxing is forging something (he checked the forge, and it was on), and Jingliu is training more soldiers. Even then, being cautious is necessary, because who knows if someone seeing him won’t end up breaking his plans?

Alas, the lieutenant brings with himself a small bag, and with that he slips inside Baiheng’s place much like a criminal. “Heng-jie,” calls the young man when he’s safe behind the door, and as soon he sees the foxian, Jing Yuan grins. “Say, Heng-jie, would you like to go swimming?” Now, where they are going to swim is another story… one that Dan Feng won’t like any bit when he learns about it.

“I’d get my hands off of those if I were you.” Marcus leaned against the door frame to the large bedroom, effectively blocking her exit. The bedroom was on the second floor, and there were guards prowling the gardens just as he kept an eye on the inside of the party, so crawling out the window wouldn’t be the smartest plan either. His eyes travelled her slowly before making their way to her face, a brow arching slightly in challenge. “The lady of the house is somewhat fond of her jewellery, you see,” he pointed out, nodding towards the box the greedy little thief had already dug her hand into. Now, Marcus could commend a job well done, but she’d literally gotten caught with her hand in the cookie jar, so he had very little in the way of sympathies. Not that he ever did, but at least if she hadn’t gotten caught, she wouldn’t have had to deal with it.

FUCK, that was fast. she stared up at him with a risen brow, half-annoyed, half-amused. this should be good.
