Throw back to 1998 when I was playing Mayra. An ex prostitute in trouble w the mob, trying to find self-love, in a play called A Night At The Mandolin. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We performed at the Flamingo Library Theater in Las Vegas. It was such an epic experience. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ At the time it was also strangely appropriate to be playing such a dark character. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’m so grateful for the twists and turns that seem like coincidences, that in retrospect, were perfectly timed lessons. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’m sure on some level you too can relate to Mayra. Her pain. The many choices made to find love in all the wrong places, self abuse in the name of “love for others .” ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Over 20 years later I’m so deeply grateful for the opportunities I took to better myself.
