My dismissal of holopro's management and marketing of Holostars isn't without proof btw. All you need to do is look at how popular Kuzuha or Kanae - PARTICULARLY Kanae considering he's most popular amongst men - are and then compare how long they've been streaming / subcount to see that somehow, despite the more hands-off nature of Nijisanji management, their male talents are far more supported and far more popular. Hell, Lauren Iroas, who hasn't streamed in a month, has more subs that Roberu, the most subscribed to Holostars member, who has been streaming for 2 years and 4 months-ish.

Let's take a moment and compare across companies and languages.

Currently, the least subscribed to member of the latest Nijisanji gen is Fulgur Ovid at 120k. He has half of the subscribers that Roberu has, gained within a month, and that's with several controversies and a very blase attitude to actually gaining more subscribers.

Let's compare within company.

Currently, in Hololive JP (not counting EN or ID, basically), the least subscribed to talent is Lui. Her sub count is sitting around 483K at the time of writing. She'll probably grow more, seeing as she's relatively new, debuting on the 27th of the 11th 2021.

Holostars's most subscribed to talent is Roberu. Roberu has 243k subs, debuted on the 24th of the 12th, 2019. It's night and day, to the point it feels unfair comparing them.

And now within company but across languages!

Kaela Kovalskia is the ONLY member of Indonesia Gen 3 who does not have over Roberu's count. She debuted a week ago.

UPROAR debuted a week ago as well, only a day or two after in fact (much to their detriment as Hololive ID 3 being announced after but debuting before took much of the hype that the general community would have). Their most subscribed to member is Fuma, with 42.3K.

Hololive has a problem and their problem is their management and marketing of their male talent. The numbers do not lie. The stories those within Holostars tell do not lie - lest we forget the horrendous treatment the first gen of Holostars got, particularly Miyabi, which was done with no pushback, no opinion, no support from Holopro.

Holostars deserves better.

seeing kobo's stream title with "happy eid mubarak too!" warms my heart bc shes the most traditional talent of all holopro, but im worried about her fans... no, kobo's fans (and other hololive fans) who are queer because who knows if kobos viewers are sending them hate for their identity. its not even a "phase" or a "choice" as how they call it, its... what they are since birth, and people should note that they cant change that.
