Vacation time is here and I plan to get use some of that time to clean/reorganize/reset the craft room. The first step to that is moving my patterns. I saw in the background of someone’s TikTok where they had their patterns on pattern hangers on a curtain rod. I thought that was brilliant and I’m all for using every bit of vertical space I can so I grabbed a VIDGA rod from IKEA and mounted it to the ceiling. Now I’m slowly moving patterns over to it.

Happy Christmas Eve. I finished my @mccallpatterncompany 8318 dress! It is the perfect travel dress pattern. It has large pockets for all my things and it was super comfortable to wear on the plan. I did have a ruffle for the bottom but I couldn’t get it added on in time so we’ll have to do that addition for next year. Yeah, I was probably the brightest thing people have seen in awhile today. But I got my 2nd COVID shot and needed to celebrate! While I did get a few crazy looks from people I also made the nurse that gave me my shot happy. The @carriebloomston Color Theory fabric was the perfect fabric to celebrate with. Happy Monday! This weekend I worked on making a project bag for work. I needed something that could carry 11x17 paper, a level, pencils, magnets, tape, and various other things. While I probably could have bought something it may not have had the same setup I wanted. I know it’s a bit wonky but it was an old blue bag, a quick sew, and I’m thinking this is just a first draft. Side note: If you’re wondering why I used a blue IKEA bag it’s because I work at IKEA. First sewing pattern of the year on the cutting table. I’m going to attempt to make the short version of this. For my first attempt at it I’ll be using this old IKEA fabric.
