Have you read this article? https://variety.com/2023/tv/features/noah-schnapp-coming-out-will-byers-gay-stranger-things-5-1235687739/amp/ it’s about Noah’s coming out, he gives insight to what it was like growing up adjacent to wills story and how they’re intertwined
If I remember correctly he said he denied Will’s sexuality to himself, until he couldn’t by season 3 esp after the rain scene and THAT line was delivered by mike. That was something I was stuck on when Noah came out, while beautiful and meaningful and important it is that Will so deeply resonates with him, he had to experience that moment right along with Will, except Noah himself was more in Mike’s place at that time and wasn’t ready to let himself accept being gay. He came a long way to feel grateful for Will’s sexuality, because he said he refused to connect with him for that fact (since he was closeted to even himself) even during s4, which shocked me reading that because that season was like the rain scene x10. And also because b4 Noah’s coming out, I speculated he was out to friends/family at that time. It’s what made me assume why Finn was so sweet and sensitive talking about this particular gay ship he was part of contrast with how he sort of treated his past gay ships, paired with maturity and passion for this arc for Mike. (Now I think it’s for many other reasons, some degree of self acceptance? his own journey in Cara’s words)
Also I remember a fan asked about Noah’s first kiss in an old q&a on his YouTube, he said it was with this girl he was talking to while shooting that 3rd season, and it happened after wrapping up and coming home. He recalls it being really awkward and was interrupted by a light falling (i swear the universe was screaming at him jk unless👀) Thinking about that now, though funny watching it back then, makes me weepy when you fit it in the timeline. He’s known since he was 14 that Will’s gay, first introduced to the possibility of his own queerness and what that even was through this character when he was even younger. Though Will is ultimately what helped him accept himself and come out, as he said he doesn’t know if he would have come out without him, I feel like acting out a reflection of himself informed his actions and struggles in the beginning as his life and this characters storyline played out. And in the public eye in that scale, while also just being a normal kid with family and friends and school, internal life, that’s really fucking tough, and still act wills story so authentically because it’s so true to him deep down. I admire him a lot he’s incredible to me, I can’t wait to see what s5 Will looks like played by our grown up evolved Noah who has finally let himself be fully and deeply connected to his character the way he’s always been inside. (Also I will not think of the possibility of Finn deeply resonating with Mike…I’m just not emotionally prepared oh god)
This is theeeeee ultimate article!! A very important one!
You hit on all the good stuff so I'll let your words stand on their own, I'll share snips of the best parts of the article.

❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tumblr media
OK I still feel like I read a different Matt and Ross specific interview where they talked about this middle school queer friend and their childhood - but at least here's a mention where I know I'm not crazy for thinking that they definitely based Will on a childhood friend at all (which until it is completely negated, part of me takes that as code for "Matt Duffer" 🫢)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's so interesting reading this about someone else, someone who we can also go back and observe at least a little bit of from public interview and appearances and videos online. How we look for signs and clues, because we're invested, we're curious. Sometimes it does give me pause that we do this. As well as how his mother knew he was gay that young. Before he was even ready to internally admit. As someone whose experienced a little bit of this himself, I always think about - what were we doing?? What about me made certain people know? What did you see? How did I give myself away? He ended up with support rather than sympathy (opposed to my case. Eventual support, though. It's ok now) - but how do mothers know? I know it's more personal and candid that we'll ever get or need to know, as he in reality is a stranger to us after all, but I always wonder when I hear other's stories like this, what do others really feel like when they know that people saw you before you saw or embraced yourself? I celebrate who I am now, and I know that he does, too. But it wasn't always like that. I don't know. I think about these things.
Tumblr media
THIS IS THE PART THAT WILL HAUNT ME UNTIL SEASON 5 IS HAPPENING ON OUR SCREENS. NOAH WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Tumblr media
This is a really moving way of putting it. I think the way Shawn Levy is described as taking a pause going silent says so much, holds so much weight. Because this show, this show - we have to remember this when thinking about it in the end, for better or worse. Look how it changed lives, specifically this young guy's life. I think that's why Will is so special to a lot of us - that character did this for a real person. Sappy as hell, but I find it so beautiful.
Tumblr media
Another thing that haunts me is this secretive series he's developing...
Tumblr media
Ending on a fun note and yet another haunting little factoid and insight from dear Noah. I know we'll never know this, but who was hitting you up!!!!? Who fully put themselves out there that was so unexpected? Haunted, haunted. He deserves the attention, though...

From A Rose Between Thorns: Jeff Buckley article
By Jacob Burkett
Let’s cast our minds back to the early 90s. A time where a guitar without distortion was rather a harp, an amp’s lowest volume level was 11 and a chorus that wasn’t belted out was a wasted opportunity. How’d this come to be? The Seattle grunge movement was spreading fast across America and already hitting pockets throughout Europe. In 1991 alone we saw the release of Nirvana’s Nevermind, Pearl Jam’s Ten and Soundgarden’s Badmotorfinger. It’s safe to say the trend of the 90s had been set, and was only further cemented with the arrival of Alice in Chains, Bush and Stone Temple Pilots. So how was it that during this time of post-punk mayhem, a singer-songwriter with a voice higher than most female opera leads was able to break the mould?
Growing up in Southern California, Jeff ‘Scottie’ Buckley caught the music bug early. His mother was a talented piano and cello player, while his stepfather would only let the likes of Pink Floyd, The Who and Led Zeppelin ‘grace’ his record player. Combine this with the fact he was given his first guitar at five and you would understand if he took a direct road to rock, but Buckley thrived on the influence of other genres. Joining his high school jazz band and later studying music in Hollywood, it was evident that his love for music was fast becoming a lifestyle rather than a passion. At 23, like many before him, he headed to New York with a guitar on his back and a loose plan to get signed.
This is where it all begun.
As the old saying goes, ‘if you can’t beat them – join them’. But Buckley wasn’t necessarily a modest folk-blues sailor competing with a grunge tidal wave – he was well a part of the culture. In 1991 (his first year in New York) he joined psychedelic rock group Gods and Monsters. Their sound was heavy, and despite still being able to explore a bit of his trademark range, Buckley’s vocals were raspy to match the band. So much so that his voice in this clip resembles Soundgarden’s frontman Chris Cornell.
Recorded in 1990, ‘Radio’ is a prime example of the atmosphere Buckley was making music in. Unlike his later years, here he was sharing a stage with two or three guitarists, a fuzzy bassist, and a frantic drummer. His guitar would be distorted, his amp would be turned up past 11 and the band’s tracks would be belted out with the aid of a wild mosh.
It wasn’t until he joined a café circuit as a solo act that he was able to hone in on the sound we now know him for. It was this intimate setting, this isolation and this opportunity that enabled a punk polluted Buckley to be reborn. The crowd would sit in silence, there was no ruthless headbanging and crowd interaction would be limited to a swaying lighter for atmosphere. It was the Sin-é café where he ultimately took permanent residency and got to explore lighter genres like folk, jazz and blues, covering the softer sounds of rock such as Van Morrison, Bob Dylan and recognisably Leonard Cohen.
When Gods and Monsters wanted to turn their commitment levels up a notch in March 1992, Buckley left the band. Needless to say the decision would turn out to be the right one as his weekly residency at Sin-é attracted the attention of Columbia Records. As early as next year he would release the Live at Sin-é EP and the following year put out his debut album, Grace. Read our Q&A with Steve Berkowitz, the producer of Grace and employee at Columbia Records who discovered Buckle at the Sin-e Cafe.
With the grunge movement continuing to grow, Grace initially wasn’t well received. But as we now know, the transition Buckley made and the timing in which he made it, proved to be pivotal for rock music. In an interview during October of 2015, Muse lead singer Matt Bellamy touches on the importance of Buckley’s music.
“When I started singing my voice was very high, I sang a lot of falsetto. For me I felt like this wasn’t suitable for rock because in the early 90s, groups had a very rough voice. Until I heard this album [Grace], it made me feel confident that a high pitch, softer voice can work with rock.”
As Columbia/Legacy Recordings prepare to release You & I on March 11th (a collection of recently discovered tracks from the Sony vaults) we’re again reminded of how influential Buckley’s style has been.
Adele: “I try to listen to music that might uplift me but I don’t really connect with it.  So mainly [I listen to] Jeff Buckley.  And that’s been my entire life I’ve done that. I remember falling out with my best friend when I was like seven and listening to Jeff Buckley, because my mom was a huge fan. Grace has always been around me.”
Jeff Beck: “The simplicity and beauty of Jeff Buckley’s voice sounded amazing to me. I felt that if I could do with my guitar what he can do with his voice then I could have something pretty special.”
Ben Harper: “Jeff is one of my favourite musicians and singers of all time. Never have I seen such infinite musical potential in anyone.”
Robert Plant: “I was playing with Jimmy in the mid-90’s, working with an Egyptian ensemble and we played at a festival in Switzerland. Jeff Buckley was playing and we went to see him, and it was mind altering – his voice. Spectacular singing. And, so much conviction.”
Jeff Buckley’s stripped back approach could be deemed a gamble at the time, and his untimely death meant he never really got to see the influence of his music first hand. Yet for a young man to ditch his grunge group for a raw residency at a cafe, Buckley clearly wasn’t doing it for the accolades.

[TRANS][2019 New Year Special] Stray Kids "Pro’s World, We’re Enjoying It"(Interview ①)
The bright sun of 2019 has risen. Since last year so many K-Pop singers worked hard all over the world, our expectations for rookies in 2019 are high.
At the year-end of last year, News1 executed a poll about male and female rookie artists who made a strong impact in 2018, with 25 entertainment company CEOs and representatives as the target audience. Among boy groups, Stray kids received 7 votes and took charge of 1st place as ‘2018’s Best Male Rookie’.
Officials picked Stray Kids, stating their visuals and skills, producing capabilities, knife-life choreography, etc. as reasons. One representative said, “Including their pre-debut album, they’ve released 4 albums this year alone, not only promoting actively but also their global fandom is sturdy” and also stated, "They are a group with rookie-esque spirit and passion, each of the members’ individual charms and skills shine, and with their powerful dance and performance they are creating a solid fan base. I believe that in 2019 as well, their special charm will explode.”
Stray Kids, who have successfully became the ‘pick’ of representatives, have already placed 5 Rookie Awards into their hands last year. Starting with the ‘2018 Soribada Best KMusic Awards’ in August, the ‘2018 MGA (MBC Plus X Genie Music awards)’, ‘2018 AAA (Asia Artist Awards)’, ‘2018 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards)’, and at ‘2019 South Korea First Brand Awards’ they have received the Rookie Award.
Last year’s best male rookie group picked by music industry experts, Stray Kids recently met with a reporter at the JYP office and revealed their ambitious goal of promoting busily in 2019 as well. Stray Kids stated, “We’re spending busy days, but since we are standing on the stage we yearned for we’re happy every day.” Next is a Q&A. -You received 5 Rookie Awards in 2018.
▶(Bang Chan) There were a lot of things that happened this past year, we busily made music and did performances and went to a lot of concerts, and that we could already receive 5 awards this past year is an honor. We are thankful for people even recognizing us, but I want to say thank you to everyone that we could receive 5 awards.
▶(Changbin) We always wanted to receive the Rookie Award and were looking forwards to it a little bit, but there was also a nervousness and unsureness that followed. We wanted to be the best rookies but what if people didn’t see us that way? What if we can’t receive recognition? That kind of anxiety also formed so we worked hard to do even better. -It’s the year of your debut, how do you think you would evaluate it. You must have ran without rest.
▶(Bang Chan) In 2018 we released and promoted a total of 4 albums. We really ran hard. If we could evaluate ourselves, I want to give us a 7 out of 10.
▶(Hyunjin) I think there were lots of parts that were still unskilled. But there were a lot of things that happened, and we gained the official name of STAY (fanclub name) so I’m really happy. This year I want to gather more strength and promote. -If there was a most memorable moment.
▶(Woojin) When we went to overseas concerts. Berlin for sure, and when we went to Japan’s KCON it was really nice. The fact that we are performing on a big stage like this in itself was something to be excited about.
▶(I.N) Our debut showcase was memorable. Especially since it was our first stage that we were showing, I was very nervous.
▶(Changbin) I remember my birthday. Out of all the days I’ve lived up until now, it was the birthday were the most amount of people congratulated me. We did a mini fanmeeting, I recall dropping what the members prepared for me in secret in front of STAY. (laughs) -It’s the world of pros you dreamed of in your trainee days. Is it different than how you imagined.
▶(HAN) The world of pros that I had thought of as a trainee was cool but hard, and after debuting for myself there’s not really much that is exceptionally hard. Even if my body is tired, since it is the stage that we yearned for, I think I can do it while enjoying. Whenever it’s hard, I talk with the members and we work out the hard parts. I think it’s a time where we are growing.
▶(Bang Chan) It’s a different world for sure. The time we are promoting is not long but after experiencing the music shows and etc. for myself it’s very new and there’s a lot to learn. It’s still awkward but it’s becoming a good experience that I want to remember well every day. -Your songs have a lot of societal messages within.
▶(Changbin) Same goes for our team members, but seeing as our age is still young there’s a lot of things we don’t know about ourselves. There’s a lot of times of confusion because of that, and with the hopes that the general public listening to our music will empathize, we try to put in our thoughts that we feel.

The only thing rarer is a SS-IBS, the SW bands version. This is certainly a “fixer upper” in that it will need a re-stringing and likely at least a recapping. […]

Is Trump Sitting on a Real Life "National Treasure"?
"The powerful potential of the revelation of alien life is something that President Nixon carefully planned for. And this breakthrough may be underway as we speak."  -- Daniel Liszt of "Dark Journalist," November 30, 2017
Popular Alt-Media researcher Daniel Liszt has been posting a series of videos that swirl around Nixon-era intel operative, Robert Merritt, and Watergate defense attorney, Douglas Caddy. The revelations weave a fantastic story of a real-life "National Treasure" type of script that emanates directly from the Oval Office. President Richard M. Nixon saw that the CIA had tied a noose around his political career in 1972. Nixon was no idiot and it appears that he may have executed a counter-offensive which would not play out for several decades but, once executed, would, in the end, both exonerate him and destroy the foundation of the Deep State once and for all. It appears that we all might just be living at the time when this exoneration is due to take place.
In a nutshell, Robert Merritt is claiming that President Nixon used Mr. Merritt has a personal courier as part of his own inner circle "Huston Plan" to combat the CIA spies that had infected the White House. In his own handwriting, Nixon wrote a five-page document that explained how scientists at Los Alamos labs were in communication with an extraterrestrial intelligent creature. The creature had provided details of advanced technology to the scientists. In this document, Nixon had a formula of some kind of technology graphed in scientific notation. Nixon gave a copy of this document to Merritt who then delivered the copy to Henry Kissinger. The original file was preserved somewhere on White House property by Nixon himself as a "time capsule" intended for future disclosure.
This past month, former Watergate burglar defense attorney, Douglas Caddy, confirmed that an offer has been made to the people who run the National Archives to retrieve this "time capsule" of explosive reality-changing information. Per Dark Journalist's notes within his Youtube video description:
In a special twist on behalf of Merritt, Former Watergate Lawyer Douglas Caddy has sent a letter to the National Archives with the promise of directions to President Nixon's ET Time Capsule that Merritt is convinced is still where Nixon placed it in 1972.
The conditions laid out in the letter instruct the National Archives they can take possession of the letter when it's found as long as they read it aloud when it's discovered and distribute it openly to the public.
Dark Journalist editor, Daniel Liszt, posted the above interview along with two subsequent interviews, linked in his tweets below. I especially appreciated that he analyzed Merritt's video in the context of other facts of history that tend to corroborate the story. Earlier this week, Liszt also posted a brief message from Mr. Caddy who confirmed that the ball is now in the court of the National Archives. Truly a plot worthy of a Nicolas Cage "National Treasure" sequel!
Closing In On the Rockefeller CIA in 2018
W. The Intelligence Insider and I have been paying attention to the interviews for several reasons. One reason is that W. has quite a colorful background related not just to the Nixon presidency, but to Nixon's brother - all of which will make a great story at a future time.
Another reason is that a small fraction of the internet community has become transfixed by the Cult of #Q, a faceless, shadowy military intel team that operates from within Trump's inner circle and, to that team's credit, has at least raised public awareness of the the role that Secret Societies have been playing in the White House from JFK's residency, forward. Regardless of what you believe about #Q's true motives, it is apparent that a methodical operation is playing out from within the Trump presidency to likewise erode the foundations of Rockefeller's CIA Deep State. It's an operation that would make Nixon proud.
A third reason is that Wernher von Braun's famed warning of the coming "last card" of UFO "disclosure" (or, "illusion," depending on how you look at it) continues to hum in the background, a hum that has recently amped up in volume albeit from CIA stooges like the N.Y. Times. Later this year, respected Vatican and Illuminati insider, Leo Lyon Zagami, is due to publish a book entitled "Invisible Masters" which will likewise map out the web of alliances between dark but politically powerful cults and alien supernatural intelligences.
When most people hear the name "Nixon," with what do they usually associate that name? The Watergate break-in, first and foremost. Possibly also the opening of relations with China. But did you know that Nixon has a strong connection to UFO research as well? Yes, when Nixon served as Vice-President to Eisenhower, Nixon was regularly briefed on Project Blue Book. In fact, Blue Book was officially shut down in 1969 as soon as Nixon began serving his first term as president.
Nixon and the Condon Report
Those of us who have followed the progress of UFO research have likely heard of the Condon Report. Wikipedia describes this as the summary opinion produced after years of probing into the matter by a University of Colorado UFO project that was headed by physicist Edward Condon. The final report unsurprisingly told the world to just move along; nothing to see here.
The Condon Committee was under pressure to get that report published before President-Elect Nixon took office. Nixon had been at odds with Dr. Condon for a long time. This animosity stemmed from the McCarthy era hearings when Nixon sat on the House Committee of Un-American Activities. Dr. Condon was part of the long parade of so-called Communist sympathizers. Incredibly, he was even accused of being "at the forefront of a revolutionary movement in physics called ... quantum mechanics." {Insert Eye Roll emoji here.} Wow, how does one retort to something like that? By channeling the mind of other great rebels like Copernicus, Galileo, and Newton?
Nevertheless, this web page at PresidentialUFO.com [linked here] has this to say about the showdown between the Condon Report's findings and the incoming Nixon presidency in 1969:
The Air Force figured that if Condon’s UFO report was not filed before Nixon took office, Nixon might again challenge Condon. This led to a situation where the new President might oppose the UFO study simply because it was Dr. Condon who was heading it. This might in turn lead to Nixon holding up the report until the project was thoroughly investigated, or worse yet publicly rejecting its conclusions. According to Major Keyhoe, "the AF had put hard pressure on Colorado University (which was hosting the report) to rush the report through, so it could be released before the election. But it was impossible to make the deadline."
When Nixon did win the election, the AF reviewers could only hope that Nixon would be too busy after the inauguration with things like the war in Vietnam to look at the UFO situation. Also, opposition ridicule surrounding the subject would make any early check-up on flying saucers unlikely. They were right. Nixon never did openly challenge Condon’s conclusion, and stayed completely quiet about the UFO situation, as had all the Presidents before him.
Yes, indeed, Nixon "stayed completely quiet about the UFO situation" until the day arrived when he saw that the CIA had prepared a political chopping block for him in the shape of the Watergate Hotel. He called on the services of homosexual Honey-Pot operative Robert Merritt and read aloud the 5-page handwritten expose to him. Then, Nixon sealed up a copy of the file in a brown envelope and literally taped it to Merritt's chest under his clothes so that Merritt could clandestinely exit the White House and drop it on Kissinger. It just may be that Nixon used UFO and E.T. "disclosure" as a posthumous trump (or Trump?) card to be played years later.
Now we wait and watch how the various factions with vested interests in our imposed Matrix cannibalize each other as the anticipated era of Human Hybridization continues to rise like a p phoenix out of the Rockefeller-Rothschild ashes. It just may be that our Babylonian Priesthood overlords have decided that the time has come for the reunion between futuristic Singularity Spawns and the supernatural entities who have been quietly moving that technology along the whole time.

Showcasing the value of SEO
Each year we attend dozens of events and reach thousands of people with our keynotes, talks, and Q&As. We go to conferences and meetups, because we believe that our talks can potentially help online businesses flourish and we get to help people with their search related problems, but sometimes also listen to their success stories. It's really uplifting when we hear that, by following our advice, they achieved something great! We want people to hear about these success stories, so we're starting a new blog post series that features case studies. They may, for example, help with convincing a boss' boss that investing in SEO or implementing structured data can be good for the business. In this first blog post we're going to start with the overall basics of investing in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and how investing in it helped a company. We hope you'll find this blog post useful. If you're interested in contributing a case study, submit a talk proposal when signing up for a Webmaster Conference near you and we will consider featuring it. For more case studies and help content, head over to our developer site, help center, or YouTube channel. If you wanna get in touch with us, find us on Twitter. Posted by Alice Kim and The Gary
Moon Tae Sung is a SEO Manager at Saramin, one of the largest job platforms in Korea. We had the opportunity to ask him a few questions about the effects of his team's work on Google Search after a presentation he did at a Webmaster Conference in Seoul. Saramin offers job posting recommendations, company and salary information, AI-based interviews, and AI-based headhunting services. According to Tae Sung, "people come to the Saramin site not only to look for jobs and submit applications, but to also gain a variety of information related to job searches and receive high-quality AI-based services for interview preparation." Saramin's SEO process started with Google Search Console. In 2015 they verified the site in the tool and spent a year identifying and fixing crawling issues. "The task was simple, but still resulted in a 15% increase in the organic traffic", Tae Sung said. The ROI prompted Saramin to invest more in SEO with the aim of even greater potential success. But first they needed to learn more about what else makes a site search engine friendly so they can better look for help resources. "We studied the Google Search developer’s guide and Help Center articles. These resources continue to provide up-to-date information for issues that we run into", he told us. SEO is a process that may take time to bear fruit, so they "started following the SEO guidelines more closely and implemented more changes. The goal was to make changes to the site so that Google Search would better understand it", Tae Sung shared. They removed meta tags that were cluttered with unnecessary and unhelpful keywords, they used rel-canonical and removed duplicate content, and they explored the search gallery and applied applicable structured data, starting with Job Posting, Breadcrumb, and Estimated salary.  In addition, they used various Google tools offered as they worked on improving their site. "Errors on our structured data are dealt with by checking URLs on the Structured Data Testing Tool. Other tools like Mobile Friendly Test, AMP Test, and PageSpeed Insight provide us valuable insights for making improvements and helping us offer a better experience for our users," said Tae Sung. Over time, Saramin saw the red-colored errors on Search Console’s Index Coverage report gradually turning valid green, and they knew they were headed in the right direction. The incremental changes reached a tipping point and the traffic continued to rise at a more remarkable speed. In the peak hiring season of September 2019, traffic doubled compared to the previous year. "We are very happy about the traffic increase, but what’s more exciting is it also accompanied improvement in the quality of the traffic. We saw a 93% increase in the number of new sign ups and a 9% increase on the conversion. We believe this means Saramin’s optimization work was found delightful by our users," said Tae Sung. Saramin continues to invest in achieving their SEO goals. They're trying to enhance their users’ experience by implementing more technologies and features from Google, and Tae Sung is enthusiastic about their work ahead: "This is only the beginning of our story."

Besides regular reviews, additionally, it may make reference to expert advertising, custom use of cultural events, meetings, specialist systems, information, subject excursions, design demands, experts and NDRs, based on the manager of the conventional range, David Ulrich.
To greatly help make the buy-side to deal with these requirements, is developing schema that is extra to aid the relationships between your side that is buy and study companies because of its Study Data eXchange Language.
Schema appears to fully capture whether it’s a live conversation, a phone, who used a finish time, the conventional occasion identification, a start-time and date, it and date, which resource and field courses were mentioned,” stated Ulrich. “There is a much more related to that than simply research.”
By giving this metadata, appears to greatly help resolve the coming remove between its own study companies and the buy-side.
A current study statement interviewed resource executives, by Greenwich Affiliate be prepared to spend $900-million for study in 2020 set alongside the $1.2-billion nowadays they spend.

When I am asked by preppers if it should be worth the time and price of admission to attend PrepperCon 2017, based on the standard of change effected due to attending past PrepperCon Expos, my answer is, “You can’t afford not to go.”
So don’t make any other plans, but prepare to attend this big preparedness event on April 21-22, in Salt Lake City, Utah. There is a lot to learn and discover at this preparedness event. You’ll find me there too, with a special Q&A session and you’ll have the opportunity to get your EMP survival question answered.
Read the article below to discover the promotional code you can use for getting discount tickets for the show!
ROI for the Survival Consumer
Just like most of you reading this article, I am a consumer of survival/self-reliance products and services, and my experience as a survival consumer is vast. Over the years, I have developed a simple rule of thumb to judge survival ROI (Return On Investment) for my hard-earned money and time:  Change Effected
Based on my investment, what change was effected? If I read a magazine and make a change or two to my personal survival/self-recovery kit as a result, then it was well worth the price of the magazine and the time it took to read it. If I made more than a couple of changes, then it was a great issue! If I read a magazine and no change is effected, it was a bust.
Whether the investment is a magazine or book, video or TV show, time engaged in social media or attending training, classes or an expo, the same formula holds true. Scaling the model up, as a result of the investment, did my gear, vision, relationships, situational awareness, habits, SOP, knowledge, ability or skills change?
Scaling it up some more, when major changes in vision, philosophy or relationships or trust occur, they can be life-changing. One of my most influential mentors used to say that, “trust is the one thing that changes everything.” I try to use this rule, when I write and provide services too. I ask myself how likely it is that what I am writing or teaching will effect change for my readers or clients in their emergency preparations, and I’m glad that so many of you appreciate it.

Nicole continues to visit the San Bushmen of Southern Africa whom she has worked with for many years to the end of preserving their culture and teaches primitive skills and herbal medicine based on her experiences.
David Holladay – For many city dwellers, most of their understanding of primitive survival comes from watching survival reality TV. David is an Expert Survival Instructor who has trained many of the most knowledgeable survival instructors on TV and countless others who are not. He’s also a very down to earth all-around great guy and an immensely talented educator.
Dave Wescott – Dave is an Expert Survival Instructor who owned the Boulder Outdoor Survival School and has hosted the nation’s premier primitive skills events for over 30 years. In the primitive skills world, David Holladay and Dave Wescott are living legends, both having worked with best selling author Larry Dean Olsen (Outdoor Survival Skills) based on primitive skills of the Paiute Tribe of Native Americans and helped to preserve these valuable skills.

Classes/Education
PrepperCon 2017 boasts well over 120 classes, many of them taught by some of the very best instructors on the planet. Don’t confuse them with so many folks to whom survival is largely theoretical. These are typically vetted subject matter experts have actually been there and done that.
So many topics are being covered at this show that whatever your interest and skill level are, you sure to find classes or workshops that you will benefit from. As Expo’s go, this one is very interactive, education-heavy and focused on actually helping you to prepare for emergencies. Here are a few other highlights I find particularly interesting:

Products/Vendors
Vendors are the driving force behind any expo and legions of survival vendors competing against each other under the same roof creates a great environment for survival consumers to score show specials. PrepperCon 2017 will showcase some exciting new inventions and product offerings. While it can be fun to window shop online, it is nice to be able to see products with your own eyes, feel the quality, understand the dimensions without a ruler, heft them and have the ability to take them home if you choose. Some of the highlights, innovation and deals I am looking forward to are:
Scavenger Six – Multi-caliber Repeating Firearm Unveiled to the World – Tim Ralston
Tech Protect – Faraday Bags
Survival Medical – Exactly what it sounds like
5.11 Tactical – Tactical Apparel
AMP-3 – Amateur Radio Gear & Medical
