"To Squid the cat, who can make herself at home anywhere." - Edward Hollis (How to Make a Home) I just like to read the dedications at the beginning of the books... And I smile when they are different or inspiring... Just like this one at the beginning of my new read "How to Make a Home" by Edward Hollis and that is published as a part of a series of self-help books by "The School of Life". I got to know The School of Life through their Youtube channel and I liked some of their videos and I kept hoping to attend any of their events and/or buy any of their products 💫 . Last year, when I was in Berlin, I was walking in a street with my laundry bag in my hands and I just spotted "The School of Life" sign 😍 . I was laughing like a child who just got a new helium balloon and I just entered their Berlin branch and bought this book along with "How to Live in the City" and "How to Stay Sane" books. . The idea of "Home" has always been buzzing in my head since how we define "Home" is controversial and differs from one person to another. This is in addition to my permanent feeling of not belonging to anything or to anywhere; this feeling of strangeness! Accordingly, it would be very astonishing to find a book that would tell me how to create a "Home"... WOW! Problem Solved... Check ✅😂 Anyways, I decided to get it because even if it will not resolve my strangeness problem but it will help me in understanding my surroundings in some way. . I am excited to go deep into it and find out how a home can be redefined 🏰 . I am using this beautiful bookmark that was gifted to me by beautiful Nelly that holds my favorite verse of a poem by Ali Ibn Aby Talib.
