#it must be EXHAUSTING always rooting for the anti-hero#here’s the thing. do i love this lyric? yeah. however the reason its Stuck in my head is def the melody#however i feel like anti-hero is by far the most melodically pleasant song on the album! which is a good thing!#& ppl can criticize w/ever they want but it BOTHERS me when ppl take the lyrics out of the song and just rip them up on paper#like YEAH. some of the BEST songs lyrics might look REALLY WEIRD when taken out of the melody & smushed on paper#and the song is her like. ACKNOWLEDGING that she is not this perfect flawless icon#& ppl r like Grrr it makes me mad when everyone says shes the best lyricist of our time#EVEN SHE IS NOT SAYING THAT??? DIFFERENT SONGS HAVE DIFFERENT GOALS?? idk yall#but im not about to engage directly w any of those ppl bc a) theyre right. they can express w/ever opinion they want & thats fine#& b) im not trying to position myself as a taylor swift SHOOTER. that is NOT my vibe#obv theres stuff to criticize of hers both musically and personally#but these bad faith criticisms do GRATE.#also it bums my vibe when i rly like Any media & im in a honeymoon phase#and then i see someone ripping it apart and suddenly im listening Defensively instead of Joyously. like im defending my love of it to myself#mine#taylor swift#midnights
