Finally, its time for some magic! Or may be we should say 'Jadoo'.
We remember hearing first about Koi Mil.Gaya when Mr. Rakesh Roshan announced it, possibly during the Zee Cine Awards ceremony of 2001 (the year when Hrithik swept up all awards for KNPH). By the time it released, a few years had passed which was natural considering the grandeur and scale of the film. Mr. Rakesh Roshan astutely conceived of a novel idea in the form of ET meeting Forrest Gump and gave us something Hindi cinema had never seen. Let us take a moment to deeply acknowledge this man, whose razor sharp mind not only engendered such a unique concept but also gave him the vision and stamina to actually turn it into reality.
Tumblr media
Koi Mil Gaya was undoubtedly going to be one of the most ambitious projects Bollywood had seen till then, and the greatest challenge the Roshans had yet embarked upon. It would have been no trivial feat if they had managed to be even moderately successful in such a difficult venture. Instead, they broke box office records, and passed with flying colours.
The fact that Hrithik Roshan is one of those rare actors in bollywood who has a terrific following among kids is widely acknowledged at present. However, it was probably John Abraham, who first pointed it out, some time after Koi Mil Gaya. He said that a 'Superstar' was someone who could attract children, thereby pulling entire families into the theatre and in his opinion Hrithik was the only one like that in his generation. More than a decade later, his statement still holds true. And 'Koi Mil Gaya' was where it all actually began. Although KNPH had catapulted him into stardom literally overnight, KMG was the film that began endearing Hrithik to kids. This frenzy reached a peak after Kkrish but more on that later. Hrithik literally played a child in the movie, and he did it with such perfection that kids immediately considered him as their best friend. Last time the Indian audience had seen a similar performance was years ago when the wonderful Sri Devi ji (May she rest in peace) had played the role of Reshmi in the splendid 'Sadma'. Not surprisingly, critics compared Hrithik's performance in the film with hers, and every one of them unanimously agreed that both performances were flawless.
Hrithik changed his voice, his way of speaking, his looks and his body language so much that he actually looked like a little boy. He was optimally sweet, innocent, and annoying, just like you would expect a naughty child to be. Some of his best scenes were with the ever glorious Rekha ji who played his mother in the film. Rekha Ji has often claimed that if she ever had a son, he would be like Hrithik. Offscreen, they actually share a similar relationship and probably that fuelled their amazing mother-son chemistry on screen. The other fantastic partnership in the film was between Hrithik and Preity Zinta. Rohit and Nisha were one of the most unconventional couples of Bollywood. And also, one of the cutest! ☺☺
Tumblr media
Nonetheless, the best pair in the film was undoubtedly Rohit and Jadoo. Hindi cinema has been responsible for presenting us with a number of iconic friendship duos over the years. Mohan-Ashok, Anand-Bhaskar, Somu-Vicky, Vijay-Sher Khan, Jai-Veeru, Vijay-Ravi, Kishan-Bishan, Ram and Rahim, Amar-Prem, Munna-Cirquit constitute quite an elite club and Rohit -Jadoo definitely made it to the list.
Tumblr media
The kids who played Rohit's mates also deserve a mention here. Hrithik surely must have had a gala time while shooting scenes with them.
However, it was the script and direction that really binded the film together. We have often seen films fail dismally despite having a stellar cast, and the reason for such failure is almost always a lacklustre script or uninspiring direction. Fortunately, Koi Mil Gaya was perfect in both these departments, as a result of which Hrithik could literally soar above every other performer that year.
A few words need to be mentioned about the music of the film although it needs no introduction. The songs were a rage then; they are equally hummable now. Sadly, present bollywood rarely makes such melodious music anymore! The good old days...Ah! But let us not lament. Instead, why do we not just relive those moments for a while? Hrithik dancing in Rohit’s character remains one of the best bits of acting he has done in his life.
Coming to the scenes! Yes, the most exciting part 😉! It is really difficult to choose favourites from a film like Koi Mil Gaya. Even so, we decided to give it a shot. Lets start with the moment when Rohit discovered that he had not been promoted with his friends. Didn't the sudden disappointment on Rohit's previously excited face make you want to go and give him a cuddle? 🥺 Also, don't even try to tell us that you did not cry when the goons broke his scooter and later hit him with the basket ball leaving him battered and bruised or when he pleaded to Lord Krishna for more strength ('Thodi shakti mujhe de do Bhagwan) 😟🥺😭😭.
Tumblr media
And what about the scene in which he was angry and upset about Nisha not being his 'girlfriend'? Hrithik and Rejha ji in intense emotional scenes are always a treat to watch. The scene where Jadoo met Rohit and Nisha for the first time and healed Rohit's scars with his touch after that iconic hand extension moment attracted silent awe from the audience in theatres then and remains goosebump- inducing even now. No discussion about Koi Mil Gaya can ever be complete without mentioning Rohit's splendid transition. We got the Greek God on screen for a few scenes in which he generated hysteria among the audience that had been viewing him as a son or younger brother for most part of the film. What an actor! The ending was bittersweet for many. After all, Rohit did revert back to his childish self as a price for saving Jadoo's life. But, Jadoo gave him his powers back! And thank God for that. How else would he go to Singapore and meet Dr. Siddhant Arya later in his life? Our Superhero Kkrish would not have a villain to kill in his debut film! My God, worse could have happened. Kkrish would have never become a superhero if Jadoo had not given Rohit his powers back! So well done Jadoo 🤗🤗
Tumblr media
OMG! This blog has been running over pages! Excuse us for the length 😁. But one of us did watch KMG from the first row, all the while straining neck on the first day of its release. The other one watched it comfortably the first time ( tickets were prebooked, of course) but got a sore neck after watching it from the front row a second time, and also gave the same to the entire family. However, no one complained. So, now you know what this film means to us. Thank you for your love, encouragement and support. They keep us going. Adios Amigos till the next one 😉😊

RED - Taylor Swift | Track Ranking
Album: RED
Artist: Taylor Swift
Label: Big Machine Records
Year: 2012
Speed: 33 rpm
No. of Songs: 16
This is one of those reviews I may be judged for by some, but it doesn’t matter, because this album is fantastic in pretty much every respect, and ranking each song will be incredibly difficult.
Taylor Swift’s fourth studio album isn’t the most cohesive album she’s ever produced in terms of genre or style, but very alike when taking into consideration tone and theme. Below are my rankings for best to least best—because, in my opinion, none of these tracks are “worst.”
1. “State of Grace” — In terms of lyrics, I think this song has the best. Which, for this particular album, is saying a lot. It leads into the vocals-strong first verse with an almost U2-like drum intro. Between this, Swift’s powerful and unwavering vocals, and pure craftsmanship on everything from lyrics to production, this is the best song on the album. Best lyric: “Love is a ruthless game unless you play it good and right.”
2. “Holy Ground” — I would say this one nearly tied for first place. It’s lyrics are flawless and the music from the synths to the trademark acoustic guitar is just as perfect. It’s a well-written, poignant song about the best parts of a relationship that’s passed. Best lyric: “Tonight I’m gonna dance for all that we’ve been through, but I don’t wanna dance if I’m not dancing with you.”
3. “All Too Well” — Another song that could have been in first place, and heralded as her best song ever by many. Slowed down from the previous two, it tells the story of a relationship from start to finish, where Taylor remembers the good times just as much as the bad. Very simplistic in its instrumentation, it shines on the bridge with the vocals. Best lyric: “You called me up again just to break me like a promise, so casually cruel in the name of being honest.”
4. “Treacherous” — The verses in this song are some of my favorite things she’s ever written. Taylor truly shows her vulnerability in this piece, saying she’ll go to any length for this relationship. Best lyric: “All we are is skin and bone trained to get along, forever going with the flow, but you’re friction.”
5. “Sad Beautiful Tragic” — This song is on 99% of my playlists, even if I’m sharing it, because I like it that much, and I think other people will too. The lyrics are really special and reminiscent of a relationship that fell apart but had its magic moments. Her vocals are very low and bare, but it works with the gist of the song and it couldn’t have been done better. Best lyric: “You’ve got your demons, and darling, they all look like me.”
6. “The Lucky One” — This is a different type of song about an unknown celebrity from the start of her career to the unfortunate end. It’s very meta and sage from Taylor’s point of view—she started to get jaded. But she still had to reference her lucky number, 13, both in the times she says “lucky” and in the track number—such an Easter Egg Queen. Best lyric: “They tell you that you’re lucky, but you’re so confused cuz you don’t feel pretty, you just feel used.”
7. “Begin Again” — This song makes me a little sad, even though it’s meant to be hopeful, and that’s because of the things she had ingrained in her from her last relationship. But she made it out and wrote this beauty. Best lyric: “You’d throw your head back laughing like a little kid; I think it’s strange that you think I’m funny cuz he never did.”
8. “Red” — The title track (obviously). I hate that it’s seemingly so far down on this list, but it is what it is. This is a song full of similes, comparing a past relationship to being bright like autumn leaves—until they all fall and die. Best lyric: “Regretting him was like wishing you never found out that love could be that strong.”
9. “Everything Has Changed” (feat. Ed Sheeran) — The duet’s first collab (but not their last) was a sweet little dive into love at first sight. It’s a cute song with an even cuter music video. Best lyric: “Come back and tell me why I’m feeling like I’ve missed you all this time.”
10. “Stay Stay Stay” — SUCH a cute song. According to Taylor, it’s a song about the perfect relationship that she hoped to have one day. The ukulele and the claps in the instrumentation just sum up its peppiness; it’s just so cheeky and cute. Best lyric: “All those times that you didn’t leave, it’s been occurring to me, I’d like to hang out with you for my whole life.”
11. “The Last Time” (feat. Gary Lightbody) — I feel kind of bad because I always almost forget this song. It’s a sad, slow song with a big string section and good harmonies. Best lyric: “You wear your best apology, but I was there to watch you leave.”
12. “I Almost Do” — One of her last true country songs. It’s a sweet song about almost reaching out to call the one who you still love, but knowing it’s best not to. Best lyric: “I bet it never, ever occurred to you that I can’t say hello to you and risk another goodbye.”
13. “I Knew You Were Trouble.” — Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know this song, whether it be the actual version or the goat-dubbed version. But it really does have its merits in its lyricism. It was Taylor’s first real try in pop music, and in my opinion, it was successful. Best lyric: “No apologies, he’ll never see you cry, pretend he doesn’t know that he’s the reason why you’re drowning.”
14. “Starlight” — This is a cute song written for and about Ethel Kennedy after Taylor met the famous American while dating Conor Kennedy. It has a very nostalgic, American Dream type feel to it, as well as a Bubblegum Pop-y vibe. Best lyric: “He was trying to skip rocks on the ocean, saying to me, don’t you see the starlight, don’t you dream impossible things?”
15. “22” — I really do appreciate this song for what it is: a celebration of being in your early twenties. It captures the restless energy that I know at least I’ve experienced, as well as all the possibilities that being twenty-two holds. Plus, it’s catchy as hell. Best lyric: “We’re happy, free, confused and lonely in the best way, it’s miserable and magical.”
16. “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” — It’s not that I don’t like this lead single, it’s just that every other song on the album is better than this one, in my opinion. However, it does have its merits, and I do appreciate the girl-power and sass behind it. Best lyric: “I’m really gonna miss you picking fights, and me falling for it, screaming that I’m right.”
Like I acknowledged before, it may be that you’re not a Taylor Swift fan, but I honestly believe it when I say that there’s something on here for everybody. Plus, that red-lipped cover is iconic. Give it a shot, have a listen!

35 things to inspire you during your 2019 self-love sessions
Tumblr media
May is National Masturbation Month, and we're celebrating with Feeling Yourself, a series exploring the finer points of self-pleasure.
So far, 2019 hasn't been a particularly sexy year.
When you think about, we've all had to watch a lot of straight-up nonsense go down. Green Book won the Oscar for Best Picture, Jeff Bezos' "sexts" leaked, and Sonic the Hedgehog got a full set of human teeth, for goodness sake. Gross!
A bunch of this year's pop culture moments have been genuinely disappointing, but we're not going to let that harsh our self-love vibes. From sexy fashion statements and television characters, to memes and music, 2019 has definitely given us some glorious moments worthy of recalling during the act of self-pleasure.
If you find yourself in need of some masturbation inspiration, here are 35 ~very 2019~ things to think about.
1. Chris Evans' teal velvet pants: Christopher Robert Evans had the absolute audacity to show up to an Avengers: Endgame press event in April wearing teal velvet pants. The trousers looked as though they were hand-crafted by an angelic seamstresses in the clouds and came with the equally stunning teal velvet suit jacket Evans wore to the Oscars earlier this year. We're all blessed that his stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, firmly believes you should "never let a great pair of trousers go to waste."

2. America's ass: While we're on the topic of Chris Evans' pants, let's get another inevitable Chris-related 2019 thirst trap out of the way. Feel free to think of the real star of Avengers: Endgame — America's ass — whenever you need a dose of dayummmm. 🇺🇸🍑
3. "Old Town Road": There are many subject-appropriate songs out there to get off to, but if you're looking to switch things up a bit, consider listening to the 2019 anthems, "Old Town Road" and the remix, for inspiration.
4. The possibility of eliminating student debt: This year, Elizabeth Warren announced her plans to cancel student debt and eliminate college tuition for future students, and honestly? Just the thought of having your ridiculously high student debt forgiven is *tingles* exciting.
5. The new Staples logo: People got seriously amped when that little staple unfolded. So... strong.
SEE ALSO: 7 ridiculously large sex toys to help you go big in the bedroom
6. The Jonas Brothers reunion AND the introduction of the Jonas Sisters: One of the world's most popular boy bands — a band of literal biological brothers — reunited in 2019, and that alone is reason enough for everyone to be "Burnin' Up." But with the reunion also came the introduction of the fierce female trio, the Jonas Sisters (aka Sophie Turner, Priyanka Chopra, and Danielle Jonas). 🔥
7. The black hole: The world saw the first recorded image of a black hole in 2019, and I guess it's kind of hot, right? It is described as "supermassive," so. Hey.
8. The possible return of Wendy's Spicy Chicken Nuggets: Can you think of a thought spicer than imagining the possible return of Wendy's Spicy Chicken Nuggets? There aren't many.
9. The thought of the L train being functional: Governor Andrew Cuomo is confident that limiting service of the extraordinarily popular L train for a year will be in the city's best interest, but in the mean time New Yorkers are living a fresh new subway hell. Stay strong, people. And if necessary, after a long-ass day of commuting, feel free to envision a beautiful, fully functioning L train in the sack.
10. Jauz's "Baby Shark" remix: I think the Coachella track really speaks for itself doo doo doo doo doo doo.
11. KFC's hot new Colonel Sanders: KFC isn't simply in the business of making people hungry for chicken anymore. Now they're interested in making people thirst for their hot new Colonel Sanders. (It's working?)
12. The thought of sexting with a robot: Mashable Staff Writer Jess Joho sexted with a bot, and you can too. Turns out it's surprisingly hot.
13. The Night King: Listen, he wasn't very nice. He's also dead now. But in his glory days the Night King could get it.
14. The Hulk's junk: Ever wonder if the Hulk can have sex? There's a lot to unpack. Consider doing so next time you get down with yourself, because, why not?
15. David's dance on Schitt's Creek: David and Patrick's relationship is one of the best on television, and while David's dance to Tina Turner's "The Best" is sweet enough to make you ugly cry, it's also sexy as hell and impossible to watch without getting chills. (The same argument can be made for the scene where Patrick sings "The Best" to David.)

16. Literally any moment from the 2 hours and 17 minutes of Beyoncé's Homecoming: The performance is the definition of flawless and we are barely worthy of such brilliance.
17. The Burn This poster: The poster for the Broadway revival of Lanford Wilson's Burn This is haaaaawt. It features Adam Driver and Keri Russell lookin' gorg, just chillin' horizontal on a couch all dreamy and idyllic and shit. See for yourself.
18. This sand art replica of Dwayne Johnson's face: You might not initially think a video of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's head being assembled from sand is the stuff to inspire hot thoughts, which is understandable, but if you never try you'll never know, right?
19. Bowsette: The fan-created character that mashes Bowser and Princess Peach together was dismissed by Nintendo this year, but that doesn't stop people from lusting over NSFW Bowsette art online.
20. This extremely long dongle: Major BDE (Big Dongle Energy) coming from this one. Who can ignore?

21. The moment Captain America wielded Thor's hammer: Yes, we've already gave a nod to Chris Evans/Captain America twice on this list, but how could we not acknowledge the ⚡electric⚡ moment Cap summoned Mjolnir? A real shock to the heart.
22. 500 Intel drones performing a choreographed light show set to Phish: Get jammin', folks.
23. Golf balls cut in half: These artsy halved golf balls with tantalizingly scrumptious interiors are forbidden snacks, but we can still drool.
24. Demon Beto O'Rourke: When the skateboarding, burger-loving, Beyoncé-endorsed musician Beto O'Rourke ran for Texas Senator against Ted Cruz, he was one of the most crush-worthy men on the planet. Now, O'Rourke is running for president, though, and the American people can't afford to let their thirst distract them from focusing on policy issues. Rather than thinking of Beto to get yourself all hot and bothered consider, focusing on this comedian's parody version, Demon Beto.
25. Animations of a baguette on the move: We are not suggesting you think about just any old loaf of bread while masturbating. Animated baguettes are special.
26. Villanelle and Eve: The relationship between the two Killing Eve characters may be complicated, but their chemistry is clear as day. Scenes like this are simply too intense to just watch.
27. Crocs and shaving cream: In case you haven't seen, putting large dollops of shaving cream in Crocs and then inserting feet forces the shaving cream to escape out of the signature shoe holes. It's quite the satisfying sight.
28. Basically every Met Gala outfit: The 2019 Met Gala theme was "Camp" — inspired by Susan Sontag's 1964 essay — and everyone's outfits were S T U N N I N G. Here is a list of some greats.
29. The Rihanna birthday outfit challenge: Everyone knows Rihanna slays the Met Gala when she attends, but since the singer didn't make it this year we have to get our fix another way. Try searching "Rihanna" and your birthday on Google and see one of her iconic outfits will appear. You're welcome.
30. Balenciaga Crocs: Speaking of Crocs and the Met... I like those Balenciagas. The ones that look like Crocs. 😏

31. Jake Gyllenhaal in Spider-Man Far From Home trailer: HeLLO, Mysterio. We see that beard and shaggy Jim Halpert hair, boy.
32. What if we kissed memes: A perfect meme for those who want to imagine kissing people in super bizarre places — like near a high voltage box — but are in need of inspiration.
33. The gray streak in Richard Madden's hair: 50 strands of gray = bae.
34. The Senate Intelligence Committee subpoenaing Donald Trump Jr. to testify over the Russia Investigation: Perhaps some people will take pleasure from imagining Trump's son testifying in hopes it will shed some light on this long, national, election hacking nightmare. IDK!
35. Samsung's foldable phone: The wide, glossy screen folds in half for goodness sake.
