Carter grew up in the Lower East Side of New York. Her dad worked multiple minimum wage jobs just to keep a roof over her and her older brother’s head. As soon as she was old enough, she started working side jobs to help out at home. She was daddy’s little princess but as much as he wanted to give her everything, they usually couldn’t afford it so whenever he wanted to do something different with her room, she had to figure something out with items they already had around the house.

This is how she discovered her love of interior design and repurposing household items into decorative pieces.
With the way she grew up, she learned that she had to fight for the things she wanted in life, she wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself and in turn her friends and family.

She would do anything for the people she cares about.
She moved into her own apartment about two years ago because she needed her own, parentless space. Now that she’s making a good living, she helps takes care of her father like he took care of her and her brother when they were young.

Wyatt was born in Chicago and raised by her mother for the first eight years of her life. Her mother was sick for most of her life and Wyatt took care of her a lot. They didn’t have a lot of money but they made it work. On her eighth birthday, she had to take her mom back to the hospital and she never came home from that trip.

After spending a few years in foster care, she was adopted by an actress and her husband who was a managing partner at a law firm. They tried for the first couple of months to get to know Wyatt but she pushed them away, not trusting that they wouldn’t leave her. After that, they gave up and pawned her off on nannies and boarding school.

Her adoptive parents had a son, Everett, who was a few years younger than her. Wyatt was always very protective of him. When Wyatt was home, they really only had each other since their parents were gone so often. She grew up being a caretaker to her mother so it was her first instinct to take care of this little boy, even help raise him. Even when Wyatt was sent to boarding school, the two were in constant contact.

At the age of sixteen, Wyatt dropped out of school and went travelling around the world before settling in New York at a flower shop. She liked the middle class life, almost preferred it.

logan was born to a drug addicted mother, father unknown, who tried to raise her but mostly just neglected her, even left her home alone sometimes. it didn’t take long for someone to call child protective services on her and logan was removed from the house. while being checked out in the pediatric intensive care unit, her now adoptive father saw her and heard she was going to be put in foster care. he and his wife had been wanting another kid anyway so they immediately asked to adopt her. this was the part of her backstory she wasn’t aware of. to this day, logan is not aware she was adopted.

she grew up knowing herself as the youngest daughter of a surgeon and a psychologist with an older brother and two older sisters. she loved her sisters but she was always the closest to her brother. she looked up to him like a role model and sure they had their sibling fights, but overall he was one of her best friends.

her parents heavily encouraged the kids to become doctors. while some of her siblings disobeyed that and went into other fields, logan went along with that and is currently in medical school to be an oncologist. deep down, what she truly wanted to be was a vet tech like her brother. shiloh had tried to convince her to go for what she wanted but logan had convinced herself that she belonged in oncology so that’s where she went.

logan’s parents never showed very much affection toward each other, if any at all. they showered the kids with love but never displayed it to each other. logan vowed she would never be that way with her partner. a relationship wasn’t a business transaction, they both deserved love and affection.

despite always being heavily stressed during the school year, logan is an overall sweet person. she moved out about a year ago because she needed to be more independent. she has a little chiweenie named posie who she absolutely adores.

a native of south carolina and daughter of a military father and trophy mother. chelsea grew up in a pretty strict environment, one she never flourished in.

they moved around a bit in her youth but settled back in fort bragg (back in south carolina). her father is a special forces commander.

she is a twin, and i hate pushing plots but this will be an open wc (fraternal, not identical)

her mother was a world champion figure skater, and she pushed both children into it. chelsea took to it an an incredible pace and at a young age she was already being trained by some of the best.

figure skating became her world and her mother was running it. everything was controlled, and chelsea was suffocated.

in 2014 she won the silver medal in the olympic figure skating, ladies’ singles. a slight almost fall caused her to lose points when she could have won it all. her mother never let her forget.

her mother saw her as a failure after this and so chelsea ran off to nyc and hasn’t looked back. that was two years ago.

she figure skates for fun, and she does compete in some competitions, but she will never return to the olympics or worlds again.

the competitions she does do are enough to pay for a comfortable life and she has a few sponsorships as well that you’d only know if you were big into the world of figure skating.

Surprise it me. 

Ever since he was young, Valerio loved dance. While most of his friends were getting into soccer and football, he was begging his parents to put him in dance classes. His dad being a very blue collar guy didn’t like, agree with, or support it however his mother eventually caved and put him in various classes

He was teased alot by most of the guys he knew, most of them calling him Valeria to tease him--but he didn’t let it get him down--he knew he was good and plus he was the one spending time with all their girlfriends in dance class.

After he graduated high school his father expected him to “get serious and give up on the dancing thing” but school was never his strong suit, and instead he continued training--moving his focus into ballet and being accepted into the New York Ballet Company. 

He was part of the company for a few months before meeting his partner Odette who he quickly became close with. 

It was only a few months into her partnership when she injured herself--and though he was not directly related to the injury he blamed himself--especially after finally convincing her to see a doctor and finding out what had happened.

biography.

evelyn and her half-siblings we the product of single mother maria vazquez and her endless rotation of boyfriends. she didn’t know her father, he had left when her mother became pregnant. being the oldest, it was always evie’s responsibility to care her siblings, make sure they made it to school and had as normal of a childhood as they could, even at the expense of her own. she was six when her brother mateo was born, seven when camila joined them, and fifteen when her mother got pregnant with cris. 

it wasn’t unusual for evie’s mother to disappear for days at a time, but when evie was sixteen, maria left for good. now responsible for three kids under the age of ten, evie dropped out of school and got a job as a line cook in an upscale restaurant. while it was a good, reliable job that didn’t ask questions as long as she worked hard and kept her head down, it didn’t always pay the bills, leaving evie to find less legal ways of making money.

She was born in Brazil to two teen parents, they decided they didn’t want the responsibility of raising a child so she was raised by her Grandmother and moved to NYC when she was 13. 

She had a hard time learning English at first and was bullied a lot for it, on top of being bullied for her figure which was much more developed than other girls her age. 

She is very smart and was always the top of her class, but she knew that college was A. too expensive and B. She needed to help her Grandmother with the small bakery she owned--which she still works at now to this day and loves it very much. 

When she is angry or excited she can tend to slip back into Portuguese without realizing it

when it comes to most of her childhood, the brunette isn’t quite fond of bringing up such memories. she hardly talks about it, unless it’s in writing. especially when it came to her dad. the fact he passed away when she was around seven years old, she feels like she hardly knows him. nonetheless, atlas took the role of a father figure, but she had a hard time accepting it for such a long time.

during her childhood years, she became more of an outcast and was bullied for just being herself from elementary to middle school. well, she didn’t stand for it either. instead, she fought back quite often, practically getting herself in trouble almost every week. she didn’t care how much trouble she got though, she just couldn’t stand being treated this way and wasn’t going to let anyone push her around. the only reason she would have stopped fighting and watched her behavior was whenever she was close to getting expelled. that was something she didn’t want her mom and atlas to deal with. by the time she got to high school though, she finally found some good friends to spend time with. some even became her bandmates.

once she got her high school diploma, the girl felt like college wasn’t for her and didn’t bother with it. instead, she moved onto doing a regular full-time job as a waitress for about three years. her goal was to save enough to travel and once that was accomplished, she visited various cities for a few months before ultimately deciding to come back to new york city, wanting to move into the same apartment as atlas.

Dr. Bliss Constanza Ortiz is a forensic pathologist with the NYPD, performing autopsies and determining the cause of death in victims laid upon her metal table. She’s well respected in her field, but often looked upon as an odd egg for her strange behaviors such as a lack of facial expressions and emotion, her over use of sarcasm that leads people to question whether it’s actually sarcasm, and her strange, morbid hobbies such as taxidermy and the collection of cursed objects.

Bliss, despite her name, is anything but blissful. She’ll tell you to blame her hippie parents for the mishap that is her first name. Often, she’d much rather be referred to as Dr. Ortiz. 

While growing up with a loving mother and father, Bliss seemed to be a normal child, until the age of six, when her older sister went missing. She didn’t understand what happened, or what was going on. Her parents made sure to shelter her far more after the disappearance, and for years, the Ortiz family desperately searched for Rosaline, until seven years later, when an anonymous tip came through. With that, police were able to locate remains, and from then on, Bliss was obsessed with the idea of solving tragedies through morbidity.

Bliss lost most sense of humor throughout her unfortunate childhood, mostly enjoying books and her studies. In high school, she excelled, though she had quite the temper(though concealed by her cool exterior, and difficult to detect if serious or sarcastic). She managed to receive scholarships not only to her choice school but to her safety school as well, attending Stanford University for biology in undergrad, and receiving her doctorate at Harvard university years later in pathology. 

Being referenced to the NYPD for her outstanding work and impressive thesis, she began working her way up in the morgue a year after moving into the apartments. She’s thriving, but quite the insomniac.

biography.

as the third child and only boy in the hale family, rémi was often left to his own devices. his sisters all had each other and, with the exception of amelia, all pretty much left him alone. they were a close, happy family, but even as a child, something felt off. he struggled to connect with anyone but his father kent and his sister amelia. the closest in age to him, amelia had always been his best and closest friend, and ultimately would become the only family member he kept in contact with. 

despite being a difficult child growing up, kent never gave up on his son. he would always treat rémi with respect and compassion and let him work through whatever angst he was dealing with. kent was his biggest supporter as rémi figured himself out. he attended every debate competition, bought rémi his first pride flag, and even taught him to drive, which turned out to be a mistake

tw: car accident, death, coma // rémi had only had his driver’s license less than a month when he accidentally ran a red light while out shopping with kent. the impact of the collision caused their car to flip six times. when rémi woke up in the hospital a year and a half later, he learned that his father had been pronounced dead on the scene. in an attempt to distract himself from the overwhelming guilt and grief, he threw himself into catching up with his school work. 

three days after he walked across that graduation stage, rémi packed up everything he owned and moved to nyc, ignoring his family’s attempt at supporting him through his trauma. they really tried, but rémi knew their father’s death was on his hands and couldn’t bear to face them. determined never to have time for his own thoughts, he enrolled in school. first, into a nursing degree, and shortly after, nyu. 

he is now working full-time as a nurse in the nicu ward at the hospital while working his way through med school, with the intention of becoming a pediatric surgeon. he loves children, likely due to being raised in such a large family, and kids are usually spared from his normally sour disposition.

beck grew up in mexico with her parents, she was always very close with them, they would have family game nights every week, she wasn’t afraid to confide in them about anything, she couldn’t ask for a better set of parents.

Sheridan Elizabeth Moore was born into a strict catholic family in South Carolina, a father who was a pastor and a mother who hosted bible studies twice weekly in their home.

Despite the atmosphere she was raised in, there had been a spark of wild to her from the day she was born, a spark her parents worked tirelessly to dim.

There had also always been a natural talent for the arts and praise often only came at the sight of her sketches from both parents and teachers alike, that was until her drawings began involving romance or worse yet, romantic situations between members of the same sex.

Her parents worked to overwhelm her time with anything church related they could in order to clear whatever sinful thoughts were plaguing her mind and it seemed to work for some time. 

When she was fifteen, however, she began getting involved with a boy who was somewhat new to the town. The male was the only person in her life to not only acknowledge the pieces of her that the world wished to repress, but encouraged her to follow and act upon them, allowing her to find herself and happiness for the first time in her life, slowly rebelling further from who her parents wanted her to be. 

At sixteen, a supposed day trip to visit relatives ended up being her parents excuse to drop her at a strict Catholic boarding school, states away, after her mother had found a positive pregnancy test hidden in the trash. A test she hadn’t even gotten the opportunity to talk to the male about.

In the beginning, she acted out; putting less than appropriate sketches onto the walls, using scissors to cut her clothing into more revealing pieces and when scissors were taken, using a kitchen knife to saw off almost the entirety of her hair, all on top of three attempts at running away. Every defiant act was met with punishment and as she began to give up on getting out of the place, as her hope began to fade and stresses of being unable to see or talk to the one person that mattered increased, she ended up having a miscarriage after eleven weeks of pregnancy. 

The next two years were dark ones, she lost her muse and her will, carrying on most days as if she was on auto pilot, the only thing keeping her going being the day she could graduate and get home to the male. When the day finally came, however, she found that he had left the town and that she had no way of knowing where he had gone or how to get in contact with him. 

Her parents refused to accept her back, not that she wanted to be there anyway and she was left on her own, no money and no belongings and no place to go. 

With no other options, she decided to hitchhike, to find a place besides the one she had always known. She ended up catching a ride with a male just a year her elder, also running from the world he had known and the two landed in New York at an LGBTQ shelter where they worked to create a life for themselves, finding employment and when able, a place to live that they could call their own.

(This is where Cherry becomes very open for plots. I had a thought of her possibly getting a job or two and when she starts drawing again after a year or two, someone from one of these places acknowledges her talent and that’s where things kind of take off for her. No decision on what state or location she’d be in for any of this so please feel free to hit me with ideas.)

As of two weeks ago, Cherry currently resides in apartment 2E on the Golden Property, she’s an illustrator, most well known for her artwork depicting romance and sexual exploration especially in the form of LGBTQ+ couples. However, you may also find her work in anything from commissions, collaborations or posters she’s designed for protests.
