friendship moments

that moment when kelsi comes to hug troy in hsm3 at the first rehearsal after gabriella’s departure. it’s such a subtle moment, but it’s so beautiful!

that moment when everyone’s up on stage during everyday. it’s the entire reason it’s my favourite song.

when troy tells kelsi she’s the playmaker.

when sharpay gives the star dazzle award to ryan. so important for both their characters!

i absolutely adooore that moment when troy and gabriella switch partners with chad and taylor during the fantasy prom. it was a really sweet homage to their friends. <3

when everyone welcomes gabriella back during the senior year musical. 

troy and chad’s scene in the gym after troy announces his choice to go to berkeley. it’s my absolute favourite troy/chad scene!

when troy makes up with the wildcats before the talent show and becomes friends with ryan.

taylor and gabriella’s scene in gabriella’s bedroom in hsm3. it’s a really good and vital scene and i’m still a bit pissed it was cut from the theatrical release.

the boys are back. just the entirety of it.

i also would have added the troy/sharpay scene before the talent show (it’s my favourite scene from hsm2!) and that little smile gabriella and sharpay share at graduation, because both those moments are really important to me, but with the difficult relationships sharpay has with troy and gabriella, i’m not sure they’d count as friendship moments, lol, so they’re bonuses, i guess?

the rooftop scene in hsm1. i could write entire essays on that scene.

the entire stanford scene. gets me every time, man.

troy’s announcement that he’s choosing berkeley. “i choose the person who inspires my heart” is such a romantic statement, my god.

the reunion between troy and gabriella during everyday. again, it’s my favourite song and the wedding imagery kills me.

the cheek kiss after breaking free. so freaking adorable.

the kiss in hsm2.

the entirety of the new year’s eve scene, but especially that moment troy first looks at gabriella and has that love at first sight look and the almost kiss during the fireworks.

chad’s promposal in front of the entire cafeteria.

troy’s apology to gabriella in hsm1. is it creepy? a bit. is it also ridiculously sweet? heck yeah.
