How did htb!archie propose? Is their wedding elaborate or simple? Where do they go on their honeymoon?

he does propose, and i actually do have an elaborate headcanon for that, i shall turn it into a tumblr drabble at some point, maybe, or add it to the series (no promises though). but he does propose in their kitchen, one and a half year later, when veronica is really not expecting it at all.

after they get engaged they get married very quickly, just the time to plan the thing. it's a simple but very expensive and exclusive wedding. they go to new zealand in their honeymoon, a combo of beautiful beaches, great resorts, and interesting nature with wild activities (mainly) for archie lol.

aw, thanks nonnie ❤️️ honestly, when i started writing HTB i had no intention of adding that drabble as an interlude or to even deal with JV as anything other than two people who were painfully aware of what the other was going through, but then... what can i say.

i think the books start with the character that's meant to be veronica leaving town and thinking back to her days of arriving, when she was "a new mystery rolling into town" (as per jug's words in canon). but i think a lot of things on the book are just a work of fiction, him trying to figure out this girl ("the homecoming queen") that he never really got to know even though they should've been close.

(and making her forget the "archie" in the story and slowly fall for "the viper leader" instead, which would happen in the second book, and i think the viper leader would be just a edgier version of himself, maybe who he would like to be.)

only kevin and betty actually read jughead's book series (way too painful for archie or veronica to do it), and kevin always wondered what did it mean that jug wrote a book about who was essentially veronica (maybe kind of mixed up with betty at some points) but never asked aloud; and betty kind of ignored it until they tried again and she started to feel bothered about how jug's admiration for that character was so big.

was jughead in love with veronica or something? i don't think so, but i think he admired her strength and was curious about the way things unfolded in "the bird has flown", and well, he poured all that energy into the book. and that character ended up not with archie, but with himself.

but my actual headcanon is that after things didn't work out with bughead when they tried again a while before "a shortcut home", jughead moved to london and met someone else (in my head, someone like tabitha) who managed to catch his attention and who he started a healthy relationship with. as for b, i think she dedicated herself to a good career helping people out and letting go of the past, eventually moving on and finding someone good for her, too. maybe she even reconnected with veronica at some point, even if briefly.
