"What? Why?" Aluzka looked around for a reason why they would need to do such a thing. First the strange man came to sit across from her in the middle of her meal and now he was telling her she needed to move? It's not like anyone needed the table. Wait, why did he say we?

She looked at him with utter confusion. "Is this like your unofficial table or something?" Asking as she shoved another fry in her mouth. "I mean we can share but not to be rude or anything, I was 'ere first.."

Alu sat there swiping left and right on a few people. Having just downloaded Tinder and made a profile, she never really expected anything to come from it. Her best friend lay beside her, passed out and as usual Aluzka had a hard time sleeping. It was about midnight when she came across a profile of someone she knew. Her best friends brother. 

Not wanting to be rude, she swiped right. Again, not expecting anything to come of it, she soon found that he and she had matched! Alu blinked in confusion and then rose a brow. Had he done what she did? Swiping right to be nice? She suddenly felt very nervous as she stared at the match screen. “Oh boy...” She mumbled.

Dick had been sitting at the bar after the Titans most recent fight and just downed another shot when a woman had come over and sat next to him. The two started talking and after a few more shots, Dick had gained enough courage to do just about anything. “I’m usually not one to dance, but… how about we give it a go?” He asked, listening to the music slow down a bit.

“Well, I like Christmas, so I’m going to wear this hat the whole time I’m inside. I won’t wear it out in public, but you see these decorations everywhere?” Landon gestured to the white lights bordering the crown molding of his studio apartment. There was even a small tree with pretend snow on it sitting on his coffee table. “It’s officially Christmas.”

He chuckled. It’s normal having cuts like this, it was from a carpark fight after all. He just couldn’t stand it; That group of bullies taking a piss on that kid like that. Maybe it’s the years of being in the military that made Erik think he could pick a fight with one of the kids and win victoriously but those days were in the past now.“I’m fine. These cuts are nothing. I’ve seen worse and had worse done to me. I just couldn’t stand those teenage rascals bullying that little kid but I guess my body isn’t what it use to be.”

                                    it was probably illegal, breaking into random buildings and sitting on their roof, smoking as he watched the streets below, the people unknowingly going about their night while his eyes studied them. he wasn’t looking for a target or prey, he just enjoyed feeling incredibly tall and untouchable, looking below him to the others. a sense of power. he felt godly. perhaps this was the closest to god he’d ever get. the night breeze was subtle, a slight chill to it as the changing seasons approached. his cigarette smoke was carried off into the wind.

                 “peachy.” he replied, tone flat when a stranger asked him if he was okay. despite sounding horribly uninterested, he was slightly thankful for the company. it got lonely up in the sky, his usual company just his brain.

"I'm too hungover for this..." Aluzka mumbled as the other tried to speak to her. She had decided to hide in the back office of the library for a reason, yet here they were. Spouting off things she couldn't comprehend at the moment.

"Listen..." Her voice a whisper. "Bring me some advil and a glass of whiskey and then we can talk about...." Her hand came up to give a wave. "Whatever it was you were just on about. Until then...turn off the light and do be quiet."

"It's not you..." As the ever so cliché words left her mouth, Aluzka internally rolled her eyes at herself. Though in this case, it was the truth. "I promise. You're great. Wonderful even...I just don't think I'm good enough for you." A frown appeared as another overused line slipped past her lips. That last line was almost the truth. Honestly it was more that she was terrified of commitment. Fearful of putting her all into someone who might just wake up one day and decide they no longer loved her.

"You deserve so much more than I think I can give you..." One more line like that and she was liable to run to the nearest restroom and purge herself.

"I'm sorry."

“You talk as if you knew the man..” Aluzka spoke after the other stopped. Laughing lightly at the aspect as she put the book she was reading down but still open to keep her page. She had been studying the works of Shakespeare for a class while on break at the library. Granted she knew all about him thanks to her father, it was still nice to brush up on things. 

Seeing the others face made her raise a brow. He seemed familiar but she was sure she had never met them. Though her father used to talk about the playwright as if he knew him, this person spoke as if they had spent time with the man. Which was impossible. 

“I doubt Shakespeare would agree to any of what you said if he were alive today.” Another laugh as she poked a finger on her book. Her watch then catching her eye and she frowned. “Oh, breaks over.” Picking the book back up, she closed it with a bookmark this time and stood up from her spot. “Sorry, ‘ave to get back to work. Though you might want to brush up on some of his work. Might change your mind on some of what you just said.” Nodding as she started to push a cart from the libraries counter towards the aisles of books.

"No..." Alu gave a sigh and then leaned in to Deans side. Desperately tired at this point but refusing to sleep. The nightmares were getting bad again and she wanted to do all she could to avoid them.

"Maybe..." Her words trailed off as she felt as if she was going to fall asleep and she shook her head to keep herself awake. "I don't know. I'm not sure what to do at this point." Frowning up at him, Alu begged with her eyes for help. Though she knew he was going to tell her to sleep, she wanted to do anything but that.

"I suppose, I never was going to be enough..." Aluzka shrugged and then let out a heavy sigh. "Was never going to be what he wanted or needed..." Looking back at her past relationship was hard but needed. Whether or not she wanted to admit it.

"I think I just realized it too late. You know, rose colored glasses and all that..." She waved a hand and gave a half hearted yet dry laugh. "I changed myself so much to make 'im 'appy I guess I forgot who I really was. If that makes sense." Eyes cast down now as she began to pick at her thumbs cuticle. Another sigh let out before she shrugged.

"i just feel so stupid.."

"Well, considering 'ow long 's been..." Was she mad or more hurt that it had been so long since he had last visited? She wasn't sure but she missed him as well. Probably more than he had missed her. Not that it was a competition. In which, if it were, she would win. Surely.

"Where've you been anyway?" Asking with a side eye as she sipped on her coffee. Her eyes seemingly glancing over him in a way to assess his being. Had he gotten into any trouble while he was gone? Knowing him, he did. Not that he would tell her about it. No, he moved too fast for that. The fact he even came back to see her was something she knew would stop eventually. She would become a memory and he would be on to the next interesting thing.
