“‘m so sorry...truly I am. I never meant to let it get this far or go so deep....” Alu looked over at the other in the middle of packing the few things she had at their house. “I promised m’self I wouldn’t get attached but then you showed up and...well....I broke that promise....” She swallowed thickly then to keep herself from crying. Keeping her calm and collected composure. 

“I ‘ave t’go. It will be better for the both of us....it may not seem like it now but you’ll see eventually...” Grabbing her bag, she took a few steps until they were closer. Should she kiss them goodbye or just walk away? A hand reached out to try and cup the others cheek. “Please believe me when I say ‘m so sorry....”

Alu couldn’t help but giggle. “I wish I ‘ad that kind of confidence…though it suits you better than I.”

“No one else is gonna tell me that I’m the best, so I learned to do it myself.” Mae shrugged, “What do you want to drink? I can hop behind the bar and get you something.” Her gig had finished ten minutes ago and she technically wasn’t back on shift for bartending, but no one would mind if she jumped in.

Vergil was sitting in the living room reading once again, but he was looking through a book someone gave him, the Art of War, and was just turning the page when the door suddenly opened and he jumped up ready to throw down with whoever thought it was wise to just bust into his house and saw Aluzka roaming through the the living room and he arched a brow when she came back with a bottle of his whisky and two glasses. “Please come in and help yourself” he said half jokingly. “Should I just make you a key?”

Even though it was well early in the day, Riley was found at the bar with a friend playing pool when one of the other bartenders came out to join their conversation. It was a well needed distraction from the breakup, if one could even call it that. It had been two weeks since Alu decided to walk out on her and she had been an absolute mess. She was annoyingly more reckless, which did not improve her stats, and she almost got benched for her behavior. She was dealing with it her own way, which wasn't working out particularly well.

She had avoided the topic that hardly anyone knew about. So when the bartender said that alu's boyfriend came to the bar asking questions, she froze. She tried to casually shrug off the allegations that were made, but also left quite soon after. If Alu's boyfriend found out about them, it would be a problem. She drove to her friend's house but parked a street further up. Smart, because when she walked around the corner to check if anyone was around, Alu's boyfriend stormed outside. Riley moved out of sight and waited him to drive off before she came out again, approaching the door.

With three knocks on the door, knowing all too well she wasn't supposed to be there, she waited for Alu to come to the door. It was clear the other hadn't expected her when she opened the door and that she had been crying. Riley quickly moved her foot between the door so it couldn't be slammed in her face. "Alu-- don't shut me out" she said, eyes scanning to see if she wasn't hurt. "Did he hurt you?"

It had been months since Alu had disappeared without warning and she was sure Dean would never want to see her again. However, as she knocked on the door, she hoped he would at least listen to her explanation. Though if he slammed the door back in her face, she wouldn't blame him. The door opened and upon seeing his face, she nearly fell apart in tears. Instead, she gave a sad smile. "Hi Dean...." [don't hate me. i miss youuuuuuuu]

Is she an apparition? was among his first thoughts when seeing her face after such a long absence. His feelings— ALL of them— were so stirred— brought up— mixed up— that he hadn’t even had time to react to any fondness that may or may not have grown stronger in light of the interlude.

Indeed, the door was open and remained so, Winchester hoping she would step inside and make herself at home. She didn’t owe him anything, least of all an explanation. As always, she looked kind of cold to him, dress-wise, but that didn’t detract from the warm feeling of being in her presence again.

Noticing how imminent those tears of Aluzka’s were, he offered her a hand.

“You’ve got me, remember?”

And that was all he said on the matter. A hundred miles, or a hundred years; there was never meant to be any sort of conditions on his care and support.

Holiday starter for heartonanoose

((OOC: I’m doing holiday starters and figured @heartonanoose might enjoy one))

“Aluzka,” the Doctor grinned as she opened the door of her place.  He had a wrapped gift in his hand that he had picked out just for her.  There was a Christmas sweater, a scarf he knitted himself, some bookies he baked, a pair of furry handcuffs for their bedroom fun times, a sonic screwdriver he designed specifically for her, and a photo album with pictures from all their adventures together, along with a necklace with a diamond from the planet Rickel 4 that they had visited recently.  At the bottom of the box was a blindfold for her to wear for one last surprise.  He was going to take her to meet Santa Clause.

“Merry Christmas,” he told her as he handed her the gift.

"I suppose, I never was going to be enough..." Aluzka shrugged and then let out a heavy sigh. "Was never going to be what he wanted or needed..." Looking back at her past relationship was hard but needed. Whether or not she wanted to admit it.

"I think I just realized it too late. You know, rose colored glasses and all that..." She waved a hand and gave a half hearted yet dry laugh. "I changed myself so much to make 'im 'appy I guess I forgot who I really was. If that makes sense." Eyes cast down now as she began to pick at her thumbs cuticle. Another sigh let out before she shrugged.

"i just feel so stupid.."

It had been a cozy night for Aluzka. Snuggling up in her bed with her pup while watching a movie. It was getting late and Alu debated silently with herself if she wanted to stay up or go to sleep. Her bulldog snoring already next to her made her smile. Sleeping did sound good. That was until her pup woke up suddenly and started to growl. Soon followed by the sound of breaking glass, Alu put a hand up to her mouth to silence her a yelp. Her body froze as she listened to what sounded like someone breaking in. Her dog going crazy now, Alu tried to quiet him down but it was no use.

The dog jumped down off the bed and began scratching at her bedroom door. Thankfully it was closed. Heart pounding, Alu moved to grab the bat from under her bed. As silent as she could be, she went to stand on the other side of her door, so that when it opened, she had ample swinging space.

Footsteps sounded up the stairs and she could hear them opening and closing doors on the way down the hall. The bat raised, Alu waited anxiously for her door to open and when it did, she swung as hard as she could without a second thought.

WHACK

The bat made contact and the intruder crumpled to the floor. Raising the bat again, Alu leaned over them and began shouting. "What the fuck are you doing in my house?!" Her dog growling and barking at the other as well. Flipping the bedroom light on to see their face, Alu frowned as she saw blood coming from where she had hit them. Though she wanted to apologize, she stood her ground.

"Just because you showed up, does not mean I'm going to cancel my date." Alu did a few finishing touches on her look for the night, making sure she looked alright before slipping her purse onto her arm. Looking the other up and down before trying to push past them.

"You don't get to walk out and then get mad when I move on." The arm stopping her from exiting her home made her almost growl. "You did this to yourself. Now move." Heart pounding now as they were nearly touching noses. No matter how much she wanted to, she wasn't about to let them take control again. She wasn't a toy they could just pick up whenever they were bored. They smelled good though. It was almost enough to make her weak. A huff escaped her and she pushed harder to get past them.

"I don't want to hear a damn thing you 'ave to say. Get out so I can leave."

“It’s quite rude to sneak up on people...” Aluzka gave a small kiss to the crow she had been conversing with before letting it fly off. Turning to face the other who had been doing their best to keep quiet, Alu motioned for them to come out from hiding. 

“I must say, you are very good at being quiet. However I’m better at hearing than most and I ‘eard you the moment you set foot in the forest...” Eyes now staring daggers at them, she sneered. “I’ll give you this one chance to turn around and leave now. Before you get yourself into more trouble than you’re willing to take on.”

Heels clicked off the tile floor, the feeling of being stared at pushed to the back of Aluzkas mind as she approached the desk. Speaking to the officer behind the desk, she sighed at how much the bail was set at. Rolling her eyes, she pulled out the money and handed it over. Signing some papers before she went to sit down and wait for the other. 

It only took a few minutes before the other was escorted to the front, Alu stood and was met by a frown on the others expression. It confused her but that confusion turned to irritation as the other didn’t even say anything to her before brushing past her and walking out the door. 

“Oi! Don’t you dare.” Quickly following after them, she grabbed them by the sleeve of their jacket. “You don’t get to be mad. I wasn’t the one arrested after getting into one of the biggest fights that club ‘as ever seen.” Granted it was slightly due to her working there, the other didn’t have to decide to go vigilante on the man who had smacked her ass as she walked by. 

“I am not some damsel in distress y’know..” Alu gave them a stern look. “I appreciate the whole protector thing but I don’t need saving....” Letting go of their sleeve now, she pulled the others phone from her purse. 

“You dropped this by the way...” Handing it over, she sighed. A moment of silence before she looked them square in the eye. “I’m not worth all that you know...” Her voice soft now, she shrugged as if the words were no big deal. 

“Go home and get some sleep. I doubt you slept at all in there.” Motioning back to the jail before she started to walk away. Half of her hoping the other didn’t follow her and the other half praying they would.

The night life. Bright lights, loud music and alcohol being downed like it was water. Not an atmosphere Aluzka was normally found in but it was time for a change, or so she thought. Dressed in an outfit she let her new friends pick out, Alu stood near the bar of the club with a drink she had been nursing for the past twenty minutes. She felt a bit awkward but this was good for her. To get out and be around other people rather than locked inside her house to be left alone with her own thoughts. Her own personal hell really. This was better. Right?

The energy was high around her, yet she couldn’t find the right moment to really break out of her shell. Sipping on her drink, Aluzka was soon joined by a man who was more than confident in his pick up lines. Trying to humor him, she smiled and laughed politely but gave him no real thought. Her eyes left him now and then and for a moment, Aluzka thought she saw someone she knew. Someone who she hadn’t seen in over a year. Her attention now off the man failing at hitting on her, her eyes searched for the familiar face. 

All of a sudden they found it. Eyes locked with the other, she felt her heart start to race. A mix of anger and excitement filled her and she didn’t know whether to walk over or run away. The other had the nerve to raise their own glass towards her but before she could react, the man hitting on her moved into her line of sight and placed a hand on her hip. It was then Aluzka decided that running was the smart decision. Pushing the man off her, she turned and headed for the nearest exit. 

Her mind was racing now and as she hit the cold air of the night outside she felt a hand grab her wrist. Turning around, she came face to face with the other she was trying to avoid. A heavy silence fell over them. Aluzka stared at them, fighting back tears of both sorrow and rage. 

“Let go of me....” Her words were sharp but her arm made no movement to actually get away. She had just begun to get over the heartbreak the other had left her in and now they show up again. It wasn’t fair but the other stared at her with a smirk she wanted to both claw and kiss off their face.

“How did you get in ‘ere?” Aluzka asked after a moment of silence. She had rounded the corner and found the other just sitting in the reading area, book in hand as if nothing was wrong. “We’re not open yet..” Looking the other over, it was clear she was utterly confused. 

“Who on earth breaks in to a library this early? Or at all for that matter??” Slightly annoyed now, she pushed the book down to try and look the other in the eye. The last thing they were going to do was ignore her. “Oi! Answer me.”

To say her weekend had been a bust would be an understatement. Aluzka had agreed to go out with one of her friends but had spent the whole night awkwardly in the corner as her friend went and mingled with everyone else. Though there was one person who had tried to talk to her, Aluzka had blown it. She was always so bad at making or keeping conversation. The male who had tried to talk to her made her so nervous that she ended up nearly running out of the party due to nerves. 

Now back at work at the library, Alu was replaying the night over and over in her head again. Kicking herself mentally for being so dumb. She hadn’t had anyone show interest in her in so long and she went and blew it. All day she had fantasized of the different ways the meeting could’ve gone. Near the end of the day though, when everyone else had left and she was busy tidying up before closing the library for the day, she heard the door open. 

“I’m locking up soon!” She spoke loudly from between the aisles of books to the other now inside with her. What she wasn’t expecting was it for to be the same guy she had blown off at the party. The moment he had walked into the aisle she was in, she froze. 

“She speaks.” The male spoke with a somewhat teasing grin and Alu couldn’t help the wild blush now filling her cheeks. 

“I..what...” Words failed her now and she felt like running again. However the male was blocking the only way out. He was moving closer in a way that showed he knew how nervous he was making her. Her heart began to race and without realizing it, she had backed herself up to the back shelf. Wide eyes looking up at the other as he closed in.
